The reason I give poor marks to an otherwise very nice overnight with you is that I recommended to my sister-in-law that she stay with you, and when she went to your home page to book a room, she pursued one of the phone numbers available and was ripped off in the most horrible development. I'm not sure what you think about this, but when I passed back through two weeks later after I stayed there, I stopped at your Comfort Inn in Ellsworth, Maine, and the person behind the desk to whom I told the above story, just kept repeating that Comfort Inn was not responsible. !!!!! Reflected badly on you!

The property was conveniently located with 2 major grocery stores across the street. If one forgot necessary clothing items, there is also a T.J. Max and a Maine must see store, Renys. I was in town for eye surgery and a 10% discount was given for cataract recipients. The fridge and microwave came in handy since I could not drive post surgery. I was greeted warmly by Gary and handed delicious chocolate chip cookies. I requested a quiet room (the hotel sits by a railroad) and he put me on the second floor. It was perfectly quiet. The breakfast isn’t anything to write home about, but fresh fruit and whole wheat toast would be my recommendation. They offered cereal and almond milk was available. The hot items were not personally my cup of tea. This has no bearing on how I felt about my stay. I came prepared to make my own breakfast. Hot soup is available throughout the rest of the day, which is a thoughtful touch. The room is well appointed & clean with plenty of towels. The mattress was amazing as were the pillows. If I could have fit it in my car, well, I would have been tempted! Heading back there tomorrow for two more nights for the other eye. Thumbs up!

It was a short stay for my husband and I and our 3 kids. 2 of which are autistic. The young woman at the front desk with the blonde hair and the glasses, I wish I knew her name, was so wonderful to my family, offering us anything she could, and just being so helpful that she just deserves all the praise! We were so happy when we saw her the following morning, and I wish that more hotels had people who just truly love their job!

I loved that they had a pot of soup and crackers until late. The beds were comfortable and housekeeping was great.

Most of the staff was great. There was one man at the front desk who yelled at me. I only stayed at the hotel because I moved house, and it said it was pet friendly. I didn't see in my exhaustion of moving that it was dogs only (that seemed buried), and as I was going to my room, the man at the front desk came rushing after me. "Where do you think you're going?" "What do you have with you?" "If you actually read our policy, you'd know." It was demeaning and made me cry.

Excellent and easy check in. Clean and comfortable room. Only stayed one night but was charged for two because of my error in the original booking, which I corrected several days before our arrival. Not the fault of this location but the management of Comfort Inn would not give us back the cost or a portion of the cost of the night we cancelled well in advance.

See the above. They may not get me as a customer again due to the issue above. This is too bad because we did enjoy the value of our stay.

Location was perfect for doing the park and surrounding areas. Staff were exceptional. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Inn could use a little bit of updating. No need for a fitness facility when you are hiking all day. The room could be put to better use.

Carpet could be updated to an easier to clean option.

Convenient location and affordable. Employees were very friendly. Looks like it was recently updated so nice and clean. The breakfast was basic, but covered all the bases so did the trick for teenage boys. Good coffee.

The only complaint is the beds were either super soft or fully amortized. Prefer a firmer bed, but the room was comfortable.

First, we were especially pleased to see how clean and fresh the room and bathroom were. Everything also looked updated and new. The staff was amazingly helpful and very pleasant. We have family in the area and should we come back we will definitely staff again. It was close to the restaurants we looked for, having LL Bean Outlet next door was an added plus :-). Nicely done. Breakfast was good. We found plenty to eat. I liked that you had a gym. I enjoyed the treadmill and the weights. The staff was very friendly . Our room was clean and comfortable. I liked that there was hot water available in the late evening, so I could have a cup of tea. My husband liked the complimentary chocolate chip cookies.

The only thing that could have been a bit better was the heating unit. It worked well, but it was a bit noisy in the night. It woke us up a few times, but we did get back to sleep.

Clean, comfortable beds, bathroom. Loved the micro/fridge/safe. Spring water from MDI and iced lemon water on tap was a major bonus!

The additional, “amenities fee” that was not quoted or given any information about beforehand but was expected to be paid in full or the booking wasn’t valid. I could do without cookies and Hungarian soup. Also, breakfast was poor quality. Couldn’t close curtains at night to create darkness in room and was right behind the street light.
