A nice hotel and nice room, which had a fridge freezer and a microwave. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. In the lobby of the hotel there was a machine that you could be used to make coffee and tea any time of the day. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was quite basic but filling: in the lobby you could make toast, and there was porridge, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juices, which you could take to your room. It was a good place from which to explore the Acadia National park.

There were facilities for guest to use a washing machine and drier, and it would be useful for the hotel to add that to the information on their website.

The pool was amazing! Bigger than most and warm. The beds were very comfortable. The internet was easy to connect to and worked the whole time. I Luke that the pool opened early and was open until 9pm.

The breakfast options were very limited and there was no milk for my son to have cereal any of the days we were there. The tub seal in our room was old and falling off and there was a couple water stains on the ceiling. The wall in the shower was also bubbled in a few spots. The towels given to use for the pool were very small and more like a hand towel than a pool towel. I also didn't care for walking up to the front desk to be barked at aggressively by the Rottweiler that was there, it scared the heck outta me.

The property was within a 25-30 minute drive to Acadia. The rooms were spacious and the staff ensured it was kept very clean. The grab and go breakfast choices were great too. The pool was good and clean. The Thai restaurant within the complex is a Must try too!! Will definitely stay when we are in the Acadia region again.

This motel is about 25 minutes to main street Bar Harbor where we spent most of our time while in Maine. The Colonial Inn is an older building with character. Our room was huge with a full kitchen and a king bed. Wifi was better than what we have in our Florida apartment. Best laundry facility we have ever seen in a motel. Morning breakfast was a treat. Staff was the best - happy and helpful. Ellsworth has a few great, inexpensive restaurants.

We only spent one night here but it was a pretty good stay! The front desk staff was very kind and the room was pretty spacious in the annex. They have grab-and-go breakfast in the morning (cereals, milk, juice, eggs, poptarts, waffles, etc) which we took for our road trip. The inn is also pet friendly and it was comfortable for our dog.

The biggest con was that the floor in our room wasn't very clean so I could feel dirt when I walked around barefoot.

The day before arrival i called due to bad weather and was traveling 6 hrs and was nervous. The room was available for 334 dollars with a 9oclock arrival. Then dropped down to 179. The last day of our visit i was getting ice and 5 bikers arrived and i told them great place and answered all there questions on how my stay was. They were gonna leave but decided to book rooms. In the am i said to the man at the front desk if they stayed. He said yes my manager dropped the price considerably. She states its been slow and they need to do things like this. I am very disappointed as i stayed 4 nights for just under 1000.00 dollars. I am so upset over this.

This is a great, budget friendly stay for anyone wanting to explore Acadia ! The staff is super helpful and the rooms are just what you need. If you plan on spending most of your time exploring Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, and Acadia I would book here instead of spending the big bucks on a place in Bar Harbor.

Although the staff was amazing, there was one manager who refused to let us have a later check out even though we basically begged and offered to pay for a late check out. This was odd cause they had vacant rooms available for the next day, but we checked out on time and did as instructed. Other than that, great stay!

Good location for Acadia National Park. Clean and comfortable. Nice indoor pool. Good breakfast.

A bit noisy due to proximity of the main road. Dated fixtures and fittings but all functional. Some of the reception staff offhand and not particularly helpful or friendly.

our room was very spacious! there was a table with chairs, microwave, small fridge, and we loved that we could park right next to the sliding glass back door. they were super pet friendly and had a nice outdoor area for our dog to relieve himself. great location with easy access to Acadia National park. the pool was very nice as well! grab and go breakfast was convenient. staff was very helpful.

the bathroom definitely needs updates and some minor repairs to a patch of wall that was torn up. seemed expensive for a run-down inn, possibly because we were there on a holiday weekend. I would have liked healthier options for breakfast.

The nicest staff greeted us and showed us to the room. Central and easy to navigate to Acadia. The included breakfast was a lovely touch! We stayed in a newly renovated part of the Inn and it was clean and quiet.
