The property was very clean. It has lake access (Beach access) at the end of the property so you can swim. You do have to walk down a slightly steep, uneven hill to get there that can be tough, especially if it's wet. The pool was nice. There is a fire pit with seating down by the lake as well to use! Our room was big with 4 beds so it fit our family of 6 nicely. Having the kitchenette was very nice as well! It is not like the normal hotel chains that we usually stay at but we would definitely stay again if we ever came to Ohio.

You do not get room service each day like a normal hotel (new towels, new linenes, trash taken, a quick tidy up of the room). I say that, but we actually did not ask for the service so it may be available by asking. Also, there is not someone available at the office 24-7 like a normal hotel so be sure you have what you need (toiletries and such) before they leave or they will have to come from their home to assist you if you call for something using the phone number posted in the office. The beds were not very comfortable for the 3 adults but out 3 kids slept great.

Cute and old-style home with a recliner in our unit since that’s all my mom can sleep in. Nice little kitchen and tiny bathroom, with toiletries but there was no coffee, but there was a coffee maker. It’s a mystery where heat is emitted from, but on chilly nights it definitely worked. Great air conditioning units as well. My only complaint was that the bed squeaked and pillows were not at all comfortable. But it was clean, with working TVs and the staff were so helpful. We thought the bugs flying around were huge mosquitoes but they were instead either mayflies or muffleheads, both completely harmless. The little house is right next to Lake Erie and it was beautiful; you can walk down to a really pretty private beach. We really enjoyed the vibe here and definitely recommend it.

Squeaky bed, uncomfortable pillows, no coffee provided. Since it’s a house should provide a few more cleaning supplies and trash bags. Minor issues overall.

The location was perfect for what we were looking for. It was quiet for most of the time except for one of the camping trailers who didn't know what quiet time meant. We really enjoyed everything.

I wish that the cottages had a microwave or at least a 4 cup coffee maker. The TV system did not work very well. Kept going in and out and couldn't get any air channels such as sports channels.

Location was excellent. Property was beautiful. Staff was very accommodating, we need to extend our stay so they upgraded us to a bigger room for the same price so we could stay another day because our fishing charter was posted poned a day due to weather.

I visited Huron earlier in the spring and stayed in a motel closer to town. The price at that time was reasonable. My last trip was in mid-June. Motels in town more than double their winter rates in the summer on the weekends. I booked the Plantation Motel strictly based on price. I expected it to be a dump. I was wrong. I stayed in a one room cabin. It was clean and well maintained. It was quiet. Everything worked. Parking was right next to each individual cabin. The location is exceptional. It's less than 10 minutes from town and I could walk down the lane to Lake Erie from my front door in less than five minutes. There is a pub across the street and one of the most popular steak houses in Huron is two minutes down the road. Here's the best part: Everyone in town loves the owner. Every time I told someone I was staying at the Plantation they said many, many good things about him. I only spoke with him briefly so I can't judge for myself, but I doubt if everyone in town could be wrong. I will stay at the Plantation every time I'm in Huron from now on. I will tell all my friends to stay at the Plantation if they are ever in Huron or anywhere close. I can stay in a Motel 6 anywhere, but the Plantation's setting alone makes it a unique experience. Did I mention the price? It was half the cost of the next less expensive hotel. Great value and a great experience.

Couldn't have been better.

The cottage was quaint but comfortable. The property was glorious. The kitchen was well equipped but not all the wall plugs worked.

The bathroom needed updating. Taller toilet, more hooks on wall or door for hanging towels and a small cabinet for putting toiletries.

I stayed in a small cabin that was air conditioned and had it's own bathroom. The cabin was clean, The bed had current updated "hotel" white linens and comforter. The bed was very comfortable. It was very reasonably priced. I will most likely stay there again the next time we are in Northern Ohio.

I have no complaints.

The place was gorgeous: beautiful little cabins, trees, a private beach, and a pool. The room was clean, comfortable, and the design looked good.

There was nothing I did not like.

The room was clean. However, they have a serious septic issue going on right outside the room.. There are a lot of spiders in the room in plain view, which I found odd. The parking is a matter of luck. The weekend rates for this place are utterly ridiculous. I realize Cedar Point isn't far, but price gouging should be a crime.

Everything. The room was awesome the location great and the surroundings wonderful. You can walk down near the water they have a fire pit with seating and tables near it and fire wood just off to the side so you can have your own fire and enjoy listening to the waves. The staff who we met the next morning was so wonderful and friendly and helpful.
