Good breakfast especially for the meat eater. Catered for some of my vegan needs such as oat milk. good selection of vegan and non vegan food for dinner Spa had everything and a good ambience and very clean. The door of the next door bedroom banged shut really hard and was a bit of a disturbance. Soft close doors would be good. The walls were thin so you could hear the people in the next door bedroom so some sound proofing would be good. Could have more cooked vegan breakfast options such as avocado on toast and also vegan croissant

Top notch country house hotel. Beautifully furnished comfortable rooms. Excellent food and exceptional service. Excellent spa with free access to residents. Thick fluffy white towels and robes. Complimentary litre bottle of mineral water in room which was replaced daily.

Absolutely nothing that we disliked about the property only the surrounding roads in the area which were often very narrow single track roads. We found these rather challenging.

Everything, the staff were exceptional very friendly and nothing too much trouble! The food was gorgeous and the spa very relaxing which you could use whenever you fancied ! My husband had a massage therapy which he enjoyed very much ! The hotel itself was full of character with three lounges to relax in and a Grandfather clock in the reception area ! Homemade flapjack left in room each morning which gave a welcoming touch. We will definitely be returning! 😊

We chose this property, due to its location and the reviews. We were not disappointed, the room was on the second floor overlooking the front of the hotel and into the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was served in a room with views across to the nearby Tor. No complaints on the view or breakfast, over the 4 days we stayed at the hotel. We also sampled the afternoon tea, Sunday lunch and again all were excellent. The spa facilities at the hotel were incredible, and the treatments offered were excellent. If you crave pure peace and quiet, with only the sound of the countryside, but also want to enjoy that bit of luxury, then you won’t go wrong with choosing this hotel. All the staff were pleasant and approachable.

The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel is 4 star, however the staff there are a lot better than some of the 5 star hotels. I would like to specially thank Cameron, with his very professional and warm manner for serving.

It would be a bit better if the spa time can stay a bit later than 9pm (open hour is 7:30 to 21:00), otherwise after dinner, there's not much time to swim or doing spa.

A beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings. All of the public areas were well maintained, clean and interesting . The food was wonderful and all of the staff couldn’t do enough for you !! Loved our stay there !

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the hotel , if there was any negative at all .. it would purely be the last 4 miles from the main road have a few challenging , narrow lanes .. but still worth the drive !!

Breakfast was fabulous, we loved the table service and menu choices. The spa was perfect to spend a few hours to relax. The staff were simply wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Dinner in the pub was also excellent - the kitchen is of an excellent standard. We loved the fresh flapjacks in the room every day and the view is simply beautiful!

As tall Dutch people, we found the bed a little short and because it wasn't kingsize we couldn't lie in it diagonally! Of course, for people who are not 6ft, there wouldn't be an issue! The wifi connection in our bedroom was slow and patchy - we were delighted not be able to access the internet all the time, however!

The location was beautiful and it was a plus that it was it sunny. The breakfast was amazing, a variety of options and a lovely cooked breakfast. The spa was very relaxing and the facilities was lovely. The staff were very attentive and a great selection of food and drink on offer at the bar and restaurant. We ate in the tiger Inn and it was so lovely. The selection of board games were a lovely addition to our stay.

If I was really nitpicking I would say that the room was a bit too hot and the main pool could have been a bit warmer. However, there really aren't any negatives it was a beautiful hotel with amazing staff

Our second time here. It’s a lovely location and the facilities are excellent - great spa and gym, beautiful view from the dining room and all staff so polite and helpful

Our room needed a bit of TLC. Nothing that ruined our stay but perhaps we got a more tired room as it was a booking.com rate? Also, the bar could use a little ambiance- maybe lower lights? Music? It felt a bit lacking in atmosphere.

Beautiful location and excellent spa. Best massage I have ever had. Really nice (and refreshing) to find a group of young people working really well as a team together demonstrating excellent customer service - at reception, in the restaurant and at the bar. Whoever has trained them has done a fantastic job!
