Location was perfect - easy to get to from the main train station (if arriving by plane, get the U2 to there) via the underpass into the old town, and a really good location from which to explore the ciry. Staff were super-friendly and so welcoming, breakfast was excellent.

There is a bar below and there can be noise at the weekend. Not a problem if you are happy with the windows closed as they sound-proof well, but if like me you want a colder room, make sure you have cooled the room down as much as you can before closing them for the night.

The Probst is a lovely hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. When we were there, the lift was out which presented some challenges to climb the stairs. Also, Nuremberg was very hot, ~98 F during our stay so without AC, the rooms were warm, even with the provided fans. We knew this as a potential problem when we booked and were willing to accept this after having stayed at the Probst on earlier visits to Nuremberg.

The warm temperatures without AC for the rooms.

Great location in the Old Town, an easy walking distance to the main train station. The reception staff were very friendly and super helpful. We arrived on the train from Frankfurt Airport several hours prior to check-in and even though the cleaning staff weren’t finished with our room, we were able to store our bags in it.

Not a dislike - just an FYI. When you enter the hotel, you enter a tiny old-fashioned elevator and go up to the third-floor to reception. Once you’re at reception you then make your way down an internal staircase to your hotel room. If you had mobility issues or were elderly with heavy suitcases, you might struggle with the stairs (although they had very wide, shallow steps and were easy to use) and might want to request a room on the third floor.

The location is excellent, close to the central station but also to the city centre. The hotel is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. This was my third time staying there and I would and will choose it every time as long as I find an available room,I consider it perfect.

I'm rating only 9 and not a 10 because my room was on the 4th floor and there was no elevator between the 3rd and 4th floor, otherwise everything was perfect.

The personal were very friendly and helpful. The room was properly set and with the adequate equipment for the stay. We paid the breakfast separately, it was copious and the offer was fresh and with lot of variety. The location for us was very convenient with access to different transport opportunities. At the night we could enjoy a good rest even when the location was in the middle of restaurants and a crowd area. The hotel also counts with a drink dispenser (automat) you can pay with coins or bills.

We didn't find anything that would dislike us.

Location: it is located right in the city center, everything needed can be found around you, restaurants, shops, bars... and there was no noise in the evening. Room: it is more spacious than expected, we were satisfied with the equipped room, everything was organized well and very clean. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean as well, etc. The staff was warm and helpful, when we were a bit late in the evening she called us and let us calm down, no hurry. Breakfast: even though we didn't choose breakfast when we passed by the canteen, we saw it was super nice! maybe it is a good idea to try! Parking: the recommended parking was a public parking lot nearby, even with a bit of luggage it was easy to reach out to the hotel on foot, with unlimited places, and with a bit of discount with the host. So hassle-free! 15.5euro per night, if without discount it was 18 per night if I was correct.

Nothing.

Very welcoming staff, available to help you with all kinds of questions. The location is amazing, close to the central train station (also subway) and right in the beggining of the city center. Therefore, all the city center is available to explore by just walking around the place. Bedroom was of good size with a desk, wardrobe and television. If I return to Nurember (and I will), I will try to stay here again.

No reasons to complain.

Staff was excellent, tried hard to make everything right. Location was great, close to the train station but in the 'altstadt'. Neighborhood was clean, safe, comfortable. The staff printed tickets for us, answered all our questions politely and were warm and friendly.

Carrying my heavy luggage up some stairs. We had a room that we had to go downstairs, and a staff person took our luggage down for us, but when we left, we had to bring it back up. We are an elderly couple, so this was the only negative of our stay.

Lovely little family run hotel in the old town. Close to train station and main sites. You take the lift to the third floor where it’s based. The breakfast was superb, lots of eggs and breads for vegetarians. Room was really clean and comfortable beds.

Would have been good to have air con as it was a hot week. But this is a small point and there was. Fan on the room.

Location is perfect- right downtown in Nurnberg. The hotel itself is older but has been maintained and kept up very well. The beds were comfy and the room was surprisingly large. Despite being downtown, it was super quiet, even when we opened the windows. The breakfast was goods and the staff was friendly and accomodating. I don't speak very good German, but that was alright too. Most of the staff spoke at least a little english, and many of the staff members seem to be pretty fluent.

This hotel is the same as all European hotels: they seem to have only 1 soap, so as usual, bring your own shampoo or be a one soap wonder.
