The bedroom was big and the bed... I couldn't find my wife in the middle of the night, that's how big the bed was. The bedroom was clean. There was a minifridge. Our room didn't have the view, but the hotel had an amazing view over the city of Toledo.

The building is a little old and it shows. The AC is really noisy, as is the ventilation on the bathroom. Even though they left a cot for our baby, apparently they don't think babies take baths because they didn't leave him a towel. I wish the breakfast was buffet, I don't really like à la carte breakfasts.

1. Stunning view — it's something everyone talks about. 2. Friendly staff. Everyone is great. The typically serious Spanish expressions they use when joking can be fun once you get used to them. 3. Food. Not only are the prices reasonable, but the food is genuinely delicious. I recommend not just the breakfast but also dinner. Even if you're staying elsewhere, it's worth coming here for a meal.

Throughout our stay, children were laughing and chatting, but it didn’t bother us — it actually felt like a southern Spanish resort. Other than that, there were no downsides.

The view from our room was perfect. We had a beautiful view overlooking the city of Toledo. Easy walk to Toledo from the hotel, also a bus if needed on the road near the hotel into the centre of Toledo. The restaurant staff were very good but very limited English spoken. My wife requires a gluten free/lactose free meal and this wasn't very well understood by the waiting staff in the restaurant. Having said that, the food in the restaurant was excellant and good value for money. Breakfast has limited choice if you have an egg allergy and each item charged for individually but good value.

A lovely old "Cigarral" (sort of a farm building) transformed into a beautiful hotel with a breathtaking view of the old town of Toledo on the other side of the valley - see photo! Good access to the bus nº 71 which takes the guest in a couple of minutes into the historic center. The room was nice, functional and clean, equipped with a small fridge. The beds were very comfy! Obviously they save water and energy and therefor don't change the sheets and towels every day - I liked that. The pool area looks beautiful and well maintained, regrettably it was closed for the season. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Can't say anything about the breakfast, it seemed too expensive. The restaurant and terrace are beautiful wide spaced areas. Most rooms have balconies or terraces.

On a closer look, the room and all its facilities seemed a bit aged and tired. There was a big waterstain on the ceiling, the windows didn't shut too well... little things which showed that refurbishment is probably impending. But anyway the room was beautiful and without moldy smells, and the bathroom was modern and clean.

Beautiful area.

Very noisy due to corridors being completely tiled floors.. Spanish people tend not to care too much about the noise they make either late at night when going to bed or early in the morning when getting up. We tried to stuff the doorway with the spare quilt to mask the noise but just was too noisy . 1 o clock in the morning and 0630 in the morning loud shouting and kids screaming (only Spanish people). It’s their country so can’t really complain, but I will anyway!

This hotel is a little bit outside the center, but you can easily order a taxi or if you like to walk, that is also possible. The staff was amazing! I want to thank them again!

If it's really necessary to say 1 thing, then it's the following. I think this is more something for a upgrade, when we went to the pool and wanted to take a drink from te bar, it was served in carton cups. Maybe you can upgrade these to recycle plastic cups.

Reception ladues a bit unwelcoming, one gentleman very friendly, great pool, fair accommodation, good price, good restaurant once you received service

Like most Spanish establishments, understaffed and poor restaurant service. No-one comes near you. Can sit with an empty glass all night before a waiter puts 2 and 2 together

The room was clean, equipped with a very large and comfortable bed. The room had a great view of the old town. Breakfast was available for an extra charge, and it was easy to order the desired dishes from the menu. Staff was friendly but they didn’t understand English. We got to the old town quickly by taxi. In the evening, there were only a few restaurants open, which surprised us.

Although not in the town centre, the location is perfect as it you get stunning views from up on the hill of the entire town including the central castle. This is the best part. The hotel is very pretty with nice rooms and good air conditioning. Parking is secure with a garage below keeping the car cool and protected from the sun in mid summer months. Just be aware you won’t want to walk into town in the summer months as Toledo is exceptionally hot and has lots of steep hills. But the views are amazing.

Only problem was the wooden edges of the bed stuck out further than the mattress and blended with the floor, so both of us hit our knees/legs quite hard on the edges which hurt quite a lot. Otherwise it was good.

Friendly, hard working kitchen/ bar staff. They were there +12 hours a day. Free parking was great. Meals were good and so handy to be at the hotel. Views of Toledo were great.

Not the hotel’s fault but a city water main broke and we didn’t have water for a day-but we survived.
