The breakfast was amazing! Wonderful choices, variety and everything was fresh! Gluten free choices were very appreciated! Hot coffee!!! Loved the pool and spa facility. We took advantage whenever we could. Gardens outside are beautiful! Enjoyed sitting on the sunny balcony after a long day sightseeing! Quite enjoyed the Boeira Port tasting & tour, complements of the hotel. Staff there were very knowledgeable and friendly!! Port was delicious too! We learned a lot about Port and the Douro Valley.

The hallway on 1st floor had a peculiar smell. Not very pleasant. Pillows were not comfortable. =Airbags. We often had a sore neck in the a.m.

This was the second time we have stayed here but this time we bought our 3 children (6, 10, 11). The hotel is excellent for facilities, comfortable rooms, the restaurant and bar. The breakfast is the best we have ever had at any hotel anywhere. The two pools are wonderful and often quiet and there is a well kept play park, beautiful gardens and even ducks within the grounds. What makes this hotel so exceptional are the friendly, welcoming and dedicated staff members. They are a credit to their occupation. My son came down with chicken pox while we were here which meant my son and I had to extend our stay while he recovered and he had to isolate in our room for a few days until he was not contagious. The staff were so reassuring and friendly, asking how we were and if we needed anything every time we saw them. They provided bottled water, recommended local shops and organised a dr to come to the hotel to assess my son. We will 100% stay here again. The metro stop Camara Gaia is very close and that is only 5 minutes into central Porto. The hotel is very safe and you will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

There is nothing not to like

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very easy to get to using the Metro (approx 5mins walk from nearest station). Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we had use of the spa changing areas for a shower etc which was great. We'd booked to include breakfast but as we had a couple of early starts with trips, the Reception staff arranged breakfast boxes for us and fresh coffee to go free of charge which was very helpful and welcome. We only used the actual breakfast area once but thought the choice of different foods was fantastic. The bar staff were great, particularly Carlos, who was educating us on the different types of port! There is a wine warehouse on site but unfortunately it wasn't open on Monday which is the only day we could have visited it. We didn't use the spa or outdoor pool facilities simply because we didn't have time so can't comment on those but both looked great. Overall, if you're looking for a great value 5* hotel that is easy to get to from central Porto then we would definitely recommend staying here.

The Hotel is situated in an old private park in Vila de Gaia, a bit off from the center but accessible within a 20 minute walk from the Douro or by bus. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, especially when I became sick and needed a bit of help during meals - which were always great, with a high quality buffet or dinner courses. We stayed over New Year's and attended the five course dinner and can really recommend the Bodeiras restaurant. The service was impeccable. The Hotel is very beautiful as well as the rooms, which are well isolated and climatized. The beds are very comfortable. The Spa staff was very kind and professional and the massage i got was great.

The pool and sauna were nice but frequented by many families, so it was very loud and not relaxing at all.

The grounds were beautiful and the staff were the nicest people. Always attentive and considerate. Could not fault anybody who works there. Hilton are very blessed with such lovely staff. The pool outside is brilliant and always has loungers available. The gym isn’t huge but it has a very smart collection of equipment to cover all areas.

Everything was so wonderful. Our only concern was our air conditioning. It’s not great and I thought it wasn’t working as the room would not cool down at all however the staff did send a maintenance guy to check it. He said that it’s a new eco friendly air con that uses the cold water in the room so temperature was as low as it can do. Again, nothing the hotel can do it’s just the way the building was built.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The pools and spa area were exceptional, providing a perfect place to relax and unwind. The surrounding park is stunning, offering a serene escape into nature. We were delighted to find that the hotel is pet-friendly, and we can't wait to bring our dogs with us next time. The property around the park is beautifully maintained, and the parking facilities are very convenient. The food was outstanding, truly a culinary delight. We highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful and rejuvenating experience.

Friendly and helpful staff, very good standard of cleanliness, all facilities (lobby, spa, pools and car park) were amazing. This hotel is recommended if you travel by car as it has a very comfortable and easilty accessible underground car park. Room was everything one would expect at this price and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in!

Breakfast could have few more choices. Given the standard of the rest of the hotel and it's facilities/services, I think the breaksfast fell a bit short of expectations.

The location was ideal as it was only a 15 minute walk/5 mins taxi ride into Porto. The facilities were excellent and the room was perfect as the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was a high standard. The gym and spa were very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was superb and offered a fantastic selection. The staff were very friendly in particular the receptionists who gave us such a warm welcome and offered us a nice glass of port on arrival. The entertainment around the pool was great and the singers had really good voices. Bernard the barman was friendly and made wonderful cocktails. The evening meal was lovely- fresh ingredients and delicious fish. The chef excelled at desserts and the presentation was incredible. The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings, very relaxing and peaceful. Overall a superb stay, friendly staff and the best breakfast!

Service between courses was slow at times. Lunch was rather expensive e.g a bowl of tomato penne pasta was €16 Air conditioning wasn’t that effective on a hot evening.

Beautifully maintained grounds, modern building and spacious rooms. Breakfast was excellent, lots of variety and selection. Super friendly staff all round.

Ideally,there should be bathrobes and slippers provided in the rooms as all Hilton hotels I've been to have this as standard. Air conditioning took some time to drop the temperature in the room on arrival as it was very hot with the curtains.opened and no ventilation. Possibly consider offering a hotel bus service for guests down to WOW museum as its fairly steep and many people need to take the taxi back up.

The hotel is great. Everything is very spacious and modern. The staff for the most part was very efficient and helpful. I'm leaving the unfortunate negatives to the next section. However, it should be noted that the quality of service was excelent for the most part.

The Great swimming pool leader was very friendly. However, I trusted him with a bag which I have purchased from the Porto wine shoo which he ended up danaging to the point it became unusable thereafter. Hi Manager promised us to post a replacement bag to replace the one her staff ruined. She took our address and promised she would post it the next business day, which made sense at the time for the quality of service until then was excelent. Several weeks had gone by and the promised bag is yet to be seen, hence our disappointment. Thar aside, all was very good. When a member of staff promises you something to make up for an unfortunate event one would expect that one's word would be honored.. unfortunately for us that was not the case! Top marks otherwise
