Nice location, although you can easily miss the miss the hotel entrance. Parking outside the hotel is metered but beyond that towards the park, it's free. Very helpful reception staff. Breakfast was plentiful and included in the cost. Price of stay was top VFM. Chaves is a charming town and if passing that way again we would book a couple of nights instead of an overnighter on a road trip. Castle is near and worth a walk up, as it takes you into the old part of town. Great walking town, Roman bridge and baths still intact.

Not a lot to dislike, in fact I can't really think of anything. Neon hotel sign wasn't lit on arrival so although we were in the right place, the entrance wasn't obvious but after a 5+ hour drive, I was a bit 'road lagged'

I have stayed here before and will most probably stay here again in the future. There is an underground car park for my motorbike, a balcony overlooking a lovely square and a choice a restaurants close by.

It must be difficult owning a hotel - if you upgrade the rooms it will put up prices for the customer. My room wasn't perfect (but the hotel were aware I was a biker) but it was good value and I was happy to overlook this in return for the affordable price, garage and balcony view.

The Staff was very friendly informative and hardworking always available to give information no matter what time of day. The rooms were large , Very clean, You could look out from your balcony and see the action going on and you could go downstairs and be in the center of it all. The parking in Chaves is rough in the summer but we were given a access to the garage all we had to was ask. Very happy we stayed there and will likely continue to do do.

Everything! The staff were extremely helpful especially with trying to get the car parked and when I locked us out of our room! The room was spacious, nice bathroom and very comfy beds. Would stay again, no problem.

Took a while to locate hotel entrance as i was looking for it on the level above and not down on the street level.

We had rented bikes and they were delivered to this hotel. Man at reception was very helpful and assisted us with moving the big boxes and showed us a spacious corridor, leading onto a courtyard, where we unpacked the bikes in comfort and without being hassled. This made such a difference in getting off to a good start on our holiday. Also there was safe parking in the garage for the bikes. Close to castle, river and nice park. Very good value for money. Good breakfast with choices. Clean, comfortable room and bed.

It wasn't clear where the entrance was. We originally approached from a higher street level and were confused. Maybe a note on the upper level, directing clients to the correct door would be useful.

Good basic breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Serviced daily. Great location and secure garage. Very friendly staff. We will be staying here for our next trip to Chaves.

The hotel has a great location! Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kindly stored our bicycles.

The hallways were not as clean as the room.

A purely functional hotel, nothing fancy, little in the way of character, but does the job. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and clean as was the linen and towels, breakfast buffet was simple but quite adequate. Location is just a short walk to all sights/amenities. Free secure parking below the hotel for our motorcycle was a particular bonus.

Nothing to really complain about - just lacks a little character and the wifi connection in our room wasn't great. Slightly difficult to find on arrival, negotiating a route around the town to the start of the N2 was much easier on foot than on the bike but no dramas.

Excellent location second time stay for me rooms are fairly basic but quiet spacious clean tidy and warm ..hot showers comfortable beds and adequate bedding.. excellent secure underground carpark perfect for motorcycles and excellent price

A fridge would be a nice addition had to have my key recoded three times
