We were delighted to be at Hotel Starvis. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in the center of Sfakia, near the port, the restaurants, the beach and boats to Loutro, Glyka Nera, etc… The room was perfectly equipped with a fridge, heating plates, bathroom, Air conditioning… yes it’s old equipment but when you pay less than 50€/night you cannot expect for more. THIS IS NOT A LUXURY HOTEL, it’s a friendly hotel for simple people that want to enjoy Creete as it is and not to stay locked up in their room.

We enjoyed everything

Fantastically located at the heart of the village with its own cute 'platia' with tables and chairs and drink service. Very authentic greek village feel. With a lovely tamarisk tree in the middle. Seems to be a well established meeting point for travellers and hikers and locals. The room was very clean and large. It was a studio with 'city' views. The views are pleasant , of the platia, the tree, the castle and restored buildings and particularly at night when lit up.

The oner and staff where very nice and friendly, the hotel was not so busy at the time so the oner gave me a room upgrade sea view without me asking for one , the stay was just perfect , the room was super clean , spacious, amazing view, I will go back anytime, the hotel also has breakfast optional not in price but we'll worth it ,

Very clean Quiet Low profile management ( no one selling day trips) 1 minute walk to the beach

WiFi was OK but not fabulous. If super fast speeds are important to you then you may be disappointed. Shower power : in need of a boost.

We have been here before and new what to expect. And price quality wise we are always happy and like the family owning the hotel. Really nice view from the balcony. Don't expect high level luxury, but a simple decent stay for a good price.

Again for us, it always is a pleasure coming back.

We loved the location and the great view from the balcony. The A/C worked great and really cooled the room.

The shower was so small that it was impossible to shower with the curtain closed. You can hear any noise in the hallway. The wifi didn't work in the room.

I did not stay in the hotel shown. I was in an older hotel run by them. It was clean but it was not in the hotel advertised. Needs new refrigerator.

It was in a good location but I would have appreciated to have known about the steps getting to the hotel and room.

Budget hotel close to everything. Nothing spectacular about it but decent enough.

The bathroom was quite small and the shower especially was a disaster. Water everywhere even though I was super careful

The staff were kind and friendly. The location is excellent - right in town and 2 minutes to the beach. The room was clean, with house keeping coming every day. The bed was comfortable

It was quite noisy from the people staying in the room next door - sound travels a lot. It was okay because I had ear plugs, but if noise bothers you, maybe don’t book here.

Quiet, but right in the centre of Khora Sfakion. Rooftop view to the sea. I have stayed several times and would be happy to do so again.
