The hotel looked very chic! The photography decorating the walls were really tasteful. The room was extremely quiet and everything was extremely clean. The staff in the morning kindly helped us book a taxi.

The staff on arrival was a little cold (different from the morning person), maybe due to the huge amount of tourists visiting Kyoto.

The breakfast was the best breakfast I had at a hotel while in Japan. I had an incident happen as I was leaving the hotel which was quite traumatic, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to help me get through the situation. Some of the staff speak English very well) which was extrremely helpful during the incident, and they were calm and lovely and very kind throughout. I highly recommend this hotel. Beds and rooms were very comfortable, and they also arranged for my luggage to be sent ahead to the airport for me (baggage delivery service) which was totally amazing, and made the last days of travel in Japan so much easier!

Definetely one of the best hotels we stayed during our Japan trip. Room is spacious, staff speak English and they were very kind. We were not able to pay during check-in and they were helpful to accept us to pay next day. There are good free ammenities, and comfotable, quality night gowns. Room was cleaned everyday. And my favorite: room had usb outlets so that you could charge your electronics without a converter. You have 2 different train stations 1 metro and 1 overground. Both same distance. You don't have much to do in the neighborhood. One of the main attractions (Fushimi Inari Temple) is walk distance. About 20 minutes. Other than that you have to take train to go places.

We didn't book our room with breakfast but I wanted to try it and bought breakfast once. They had 2 options of breakfast at different price points. 1 simple and 1 fancy breakfast. I bought the simple one and I don't know which one you get when you book with breakfast on Booking. However simple breakfast was really disappointing. Only salad bar and 1 drink. I expected at least some eggs. And you can't even get the second tea. It was tasty but poor. Not recommended.

Excellent location, with a rooftop bar in the evening, an excellent view of Kyoto. Gorgeous sunset over Kyoto. The location is quite central and well connected by public transport. Very good and tasty breakfast, with more of a continental touch, with traces of traditional (soup, main course and rice). Excellent cleanliness. Price/quality ratio, ok

The breakfast staff was quite helpless, we needed the receptionist's help to decipher the orders, which were just a few different types of coffee. The website says there is a restaurant on site, don't be fooled, they only serve breakfast.

The hotel is very good, the room is big, they have a nice restaurant/bar in the lobby with a nice barman there. The room is new and comfortable.

The location is not the best. Although it is close to Fushimi Inari by 20 min walk, if you need to go to the north part of the city you will need to take a metro that is 10 min by walk, Which could be a bit of a bother on rainy days or when you are tired. But beside that the Hotel is really good and worth it

- Friendly staff with good English skills, helped us with luggage forwarding - Modern hotel and very clean - Bed was super comfortable - Deluxe Room was nice and quite spacious What we didn't like: - Location. It's located at a big crossing and it was very noisy, even with the windows closed. Also, there’s not a lot to explore in the area and the next station is about 10 minutes away. - We had a deluxe room and the room itself was nice, but it was directly facing the crossing which was very disappointing, seeing that we had paid extra and pretty much got the worst room location (especially on the second floor). As written before, it was very noisy because of that and we felt watched due to the big window front. Not ideal.

Such an amazing and beautiful hotel! In fact it’s the best hotel we have stayed at in Japan having visited Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka. Our room was really big compared to most hotels we’ve been to in Japan. It even has its own balcony! The hotel has a rooftop bar too which is a nice touch.

The hotel is in the middle of busy crossroads and intersection so I don’t feel like walking around the neighborhood. Also it could use more light. While I understand that the interior is inspired by industrial and modern design it just looks really dark for me inside. It could use more light. It’s not a deal breaker given the hotel is beautiful but sometimes I wish some areas were more well-lit.

Breakfast was exceptional. One of the best breakfast we had during our month long stay in Japan. Also appreciated that they had high chair and kids utensils/plates. Staff were very very nice. Bed was really comfortable, and if you have young children the blackout curtains and the darker walls helped my child nap really well.

We had the Deluxe king room and after a few days it did start to feel a little cramped. It’s also next to a really busy intersection and we could hear sirens quite often.

The location may not be central but I knew it when I booked this place. It is nearby the Kamo River and that I had many long walks by the river which I enjoyed. The room is spacious with a King sized bed with a comfy mattress and pillows. I asked for a quieter room and they fulfilled it. I didn't get the package with breakfast but I paid for the 1,000 yen breakfast (drinks and three pastries) on one of the mornings and the pastries were delicious. The full breakfast is 3,000 yen if not mistaken. The staff were friendly and helpful too. The housekeeping was impeccable. There is a Family Mart just a few hundred metres away.

Wished that the lighting is slightly brighter. Other than that, I loved it.

Great hotel with lovely staff and good facilities. They come in and clean/change towels and bed every day which is rare for Japan. There is a coin laundry, parking, microwave and ice machine. Very comfortable bed with blackout curtains and the it’s nice and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

The location is ok if you are driving in and out of town but there aren’t many good restaurants close by. If you are happy walking 20+ minutes then that’s not a problem but it’s worth noting if you aren’t up for the walk
