The property is located 5 mins walk away from Warminster Station and is situated on the main high street. The staff were lovely and extra accommodating as we were travelling with our 10-month old. We spent a day in Bath which is only 30 mins away by train and the following day, we travelled to Longleat Safari which was a 15 mins drive. Although it’s quite an old building, the room is pretty spacious and was clean. Overall, we really had a pleasant stay and will definitely visit Longleat safari again when our little one is older and will for sure stay at the Old Bell again.

Location excellent and my room was quiet.

During the night it was very warm and uncomfortable. The duvet was a good one but could have been lighter. An air conditioning fan was provided in the room but I didn’t realise this until half way through the final night. It was effective. If someone had explained this or put a notice in the room it would have helped. I mentioned this when I was leaving. I was charged for service in the restaurant and though not much I don’t think appropriate for paying guests. I would have tipped anyway.

The bed is extremely comfortable, and the storage facilities are good. Shower excellent. Positioning overlooking the courtyard was also good. Bottles of water were a good idea. Lovely old inn.

The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed, the kettle plugged into the power point behind the desk so I couldn't unplug it easily to fill the cup without moving the desk. It would be helpful to have a rail in the bathroom for towel hanging. Also, a hook closer to the sink for towel hanging. TV seemed strangely positioned!

the host, James made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in, the pub and court yard were lovely and spotless. the room was clean and fresh and had everything you needed. I would love to stay again and spend more time enjoying the bar and court yard. thank you for a lovely stay x

the only thing was to have new pillows as these were flat so tossed and turned trying to get comfy and a blind in the bathroom so having a shower is more private as the window is low so people can see you having a shower.

Breakfast was very good but for some reason they hadn't got it on their system even though it was inclusive in our booking with booking.com. so I hope we don't get charged for it again. Location perfect for the occasion we went there for. Lovely flowered courtyard for alfresco dining/drink in nice weather in setting of historical character Inn. We had a dog friendly bedroom and it was really clean, no odours of other dogs. Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them, lovely.

Toilet seat wonky so not secure to sit on and big scuff mark on it, one of the pads under the seat missing. Other than that the room was perfect and well equipped for stay so toilet seat let the room down. Did mention it to cleaner when we left as constructive criticism and praised everything else. Dining, need more vegetarian options on pub menu (only one) so ended up eating from their Tai menu as only other option but Tai really not for us.

Wonderful old building complete with wonky floors upstairs and low doorways.( bumper my head a few times😂) The staff are a credit to the business,- all were friendly, polite and attentive. The courtyard is the perfect area to enjoy a drink or meal. We ate in the Thai restaurant which is a really nice space so I can't understand why we were the only people dining. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. People of Warminster are missing out!! Next time we're in the area this will be our first choice for a stop over. Recomended

Banged my head on a few doorways... but I'm 6'4" so I'm used to it😎

The room we had had a warm welcoming atmosphere. It was a bit quirky with a separate toilet and bathroom. I liked the beverage tray and one of the best I've seen. I liked their idea of complementary refilled glass water bottles. The black out curtains and secondary glazing worked well. I enjoyed the fact that we had a bath tub. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The TV reception was touch and go sometimes but not a big issue.

Everything amazing as usual, love the Thai food, beautifully presented and such good prices. The staff are all amazing and so friendly like home from home. Lovely full English breakfast not at all greasy and obviously quality ingredients. I am allergic to dairy and this was catered for perfectly. We are in Warminster frequently and already looking to our next visit.

Not the fault of hotel at all but our fault for not asking for a room overlooking the courtyard as we were over the road and had rubbish collection early morning so noisy! Only other minor issue we would prefer not to have service charge included in the restaurant and would like to tip as we see fit (you would have had more money!)

You do, indeed, have a television in your room. But that does you no good as the provider used is such a weak signal that you won't get any stations. And since I was here for leisure, I would have enjoyed watching TV at night. Staff came up and did all they could to improve things. They changed out wires and reset channels. But what is needed is a different cable provider or a stronger signal. Only management can do that.

Great location, great room and great facilities.

I had let the property know that we would be arriving late, I was told a number would be on the door to call. When we arrived there was no number so I called a number I found online. No one answered after 3 tries. It was only that I noticed a window open around the corner and people there so I yelled up and they eventually let me in. They need a better system for people arriving late, especially if they have been told in advance.
