This guest house was truly exceptional. The owner grew up in a family of artists and you can feel their creative touch in every corner. The decor is original and full of character, nothing feels standard or mass-produced. Every detail reflects thought, personality, and a genuine love for beauty. The owner, who welcomed us himself, was incredibly kind and helpful. He made us feel at home right away and shared plenty of great suggestions for where to eat and what to see in the area, which made our experience even richer. I only wish we had arrived a bit earlier to enjoy the stunning pool that overlooks the valley. It’s a peaceful and breathtaking spot, perfect for relaxing. There’s a short off-road stretch to get there, but don’t let that put you off. It’s quick and easy, and once you arrive, you’ll feel like you’ve found a little hidden paradise. Breakfast was another highlight. It was tasty and served on a balcony with a spectacular view—an unforgettable way to start the day. If you’re looking for a stop in the area, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s one of those rare stays that leaves a lasting impression and truly exceeds expectations.

Everything was perfect!

Eloff was a real gem. The 5 of us were all very happy with our stay. We had a two-bed house and a family room. The rooms are spacious and clean. It was tucked away from the main road and we arrived in the storm in the evening so not easy to find at the beginning, but in the morning we all enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was excellent, very well presented, and delicious. Phillip was very friendly and recommended us to a local restaurant which we enjoyed totally. Philip's mum was also very nice, showed us around her gallery, and we were very impressed by their artwork. We highly recommend Eloff!

Power cut. But this is not Eloff's fault. LED lighting or torches would be handy. Everything else is fine.

We highly recommend Eloff House. Phillip was a gracious, responsive and accommodating host. He easily accommodated our late arrival. We followed his excellent recommendations for a self-guided tour and a full-day game drive in Kruger. The accommodations were very comfortable, taking full advantage of the beautiful vistas and appointed with Eloff family art work. The art studio was an added bonus. We would book here again when we’re next in the area.

We often visit Nelspruit for our monthly things to do and have tested over 30 different accommodation and we found this little gem out in the granite boulders and citrus, macadamia nut farms with superb views (sunrises to die for) and how we love for our stays exacting to feel... Lovely created and rustic and one can see the artesian behind the design of decor... Absolutely tranquil and private. White River and Nelspruit Town are never too far, and rest assured we would be returning. Please leave us a room to at least book once a month! :-)

We cannot find anything really to fault that is serious enough at all.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Philip is a hands on host and very friendly. He is also an excellent cook and we were spoilt to lovely cooked breakfasts every morning. We took our dog with us and the dogs on the property were very friendly. The property itself is gorgeous and felt like we were in this bush. Highly recommend staying Eloff Guesthouse.

An unbelievable breakfast in a truly beautiful setting. A lot of care and love went into making a delicious breakfast ..... lots of little extras, that just made the breakfast and the setting something special. Wish we had had more time to savour such a special start to our morning! The bed is very comfortable, and the pillows were wonderful. Best pillows I have ever slept on in a guesthouse!! Stunning garden with large trees and lots of wonderful birds. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.

The lodge was in a beautiful area of Nature - plants and birds and the view was fantastic.The room was authentic farm building - great art and very comfortable - the best beds we experienced. The pool was special too. A warm welcome by the owner.

The road and a system on the gate to communicate with the office. There was not even a bell.

The house is beautifully located and furnished, with various guesthouses providing privacy and views for every soul. Philip was incredibly attentive and kind, making our toddler (and us) even happier than we already were. We had an excellent braai, a fantastic good night sleep in a comfy bed, a fabulous breakfast and even a quick dip in the pool. We will be back one day for sure.

Philip's service was top notch. The breakfast was always splendid and he also went out of his way to give a lot of useful tips to make the trip even better when we went sight seeing and were looking for new dining experiences in the area. It's quite close to White River and approximately 20 minutes from Mbombela(Nelspruit). Sabie and Hazyview are also not too far off from the premises. The staff were also exceptional in sharing tips about staying safe in the region. There were a lot of different birds on the premises, a few antelope that we spotted,one encounter with a tree snake and a few geckos,but all in all a great experience. If you want a break from the city life and be in natural environment (semi-wild),then this is for you.

The breakfast was very good served on the deck with attractive views over the pretty garden. The paintings on the walls and in the nearby studio were super and very accomplished. Philips wood furniture in his workshop was really good too. The bed was nice and comfy as was the sitting area and there was a big table with chairs in the dining area. There was also a good shower.

There was a microwave but no cooking facilities. The toilet cistern took a long time to fill up and the lighting in the sitting area needed some attention. Electrical sockets and wiring seemed rather antiquated. It was somewhat open to the elements, a bit like bush camping but is due to be updated in the near future. The new studio apartment will be wonderful when finished. We experienced a lot of outages which was not the fault of the owner but would benefit from an inverter. Nevertheless we enjoyed our visit and all the arty ceramic quirkiness and friendly conversation.
