The facilities are really great, Beautiful Ambience. I was celebrated on my birthday with nice singing and I was able to get a cake organised ahead of time.

I think there can be improvements done with the food. There were some hits but also misses when it came to the food. Also Wifi range being limited to the Reception building and also half the time was not connecting properly. Offering for activities does not cater for when you are travelling alone as there is a min of 2 people requirement to can book and with the establishment being so far from tourist attractions I think allowing to be able to book on your own would be great. Also have Maps for the hiking trails on Hand as well. More options for the spa would not hurt either.

Beautiful grounds & views and clean & tasteful rooms. Really enjoyed our vegetarian meals, special thanks to the chef and restaurant team for thoughtfully curating them with our inputs. Safari experience (we did the am drive) was great although it is a long drive to the gate and you may spend almost 3 hours back and forth to the gate. The bon fires in the evening added to experience

Only one litre (2 plastic bottles) of water provided per day. Please give unlimited water in refillable glass bottles No phones/ intercoms in rooms makes it challenging to communicate with other rooms and staff especially since there is no wifi in rooms which I didn’t mind that much but the rooms are far apart so need some mode of communication

We stayed in one of the luxury suites and it was stunning. The outdoor shower and plunge pool were highlights. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the view was stunning. We did a short hike around the property which was nice as well.

Location: Muluwa Lodge is in a wonderful, peaceful location with fantastic views - sitting around the fire pit as darkness fell is a memory my family will treasure. Service/Staff: However, it is the Manager Tanya and all the staff that make this place special. Everyone is genuinely friendly and this creates an intimate experience for anyone staying here. Food: The food served at dinner is exceptional.- beautifully presented and all freshly prepared. And, the granola at breakfast was the best I've ever had! Fig chutney jummy! Wholemeal seeded muffins delicious!! Five stars to the head chef! Spa: Lovely spa facilities with a great range of treatments and a very good, lovely therapist (apologies, I can't remember her name but it means Wisdom, which she clearly has!). Rooms: Bedrooms/bathrooms are huge - comfy beds, amazing shower and beds that look out over your private terrace into the trees. Animals & BIrds: You should spot monkeys, worthogs, giraffe, zebra, impala etc on the reserve especially if you take a drive with Richard (which you should as he's such a lovely, informative guy) or take a trek on one of the many safe hiking trails around the estate. However, it is the amount of different species of BIRDS which we loved - a true birders paradise especially if your a visitor to SA! Muluwa Lodge is a lovely, relaxing place to stay for as long or as short as you need. We stayed en-route from Johannesburg to the Kruger for 3 nights. We left relaxed and re-energised, but after one night in our next location wish we were back there! Thanks to all the lovely staff at Muluwa xx

Maluwa is a great escape. If you want a place where you switch off the phone, tv and world - this is the place. This is the best place to rest and just enjoy nature. I highly recommend it for people who want to switch off from the busy world.

The cleaning ladies were a bit lazy and didn't mend our room well each day to an extend that i had to complain. I think they need to keep a check on the ladies because they do slack sometimes, however the issue was resolved and i was happy. I also think the place needs to introduce facilities for kids, if you bring in the family to switch off - there should be a playing space for kids to find entertainment in a natural way.

The experience was excellent from start to finish. Check in at the main gate was quick and at the lodge reception very friendly and efficient. The communal areas are open plan and attractively decorated and suited to the environment. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and service was great. Our tent was very comfortable with a lovely view. Fitted with everything a guest could need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the coffee plunger as many places only supply instant coffee in the rooms. The highlight of our stay was the boma dinner! The food was excellent! We couldn’t fault anything. It was true South African cuisine! Above all Muluwa Lodge is excellent value for money and we will definitely return. A perfect stop over en route to or from Kruger.

Muluwa Lodge is a wonderful place in the middle of nowhere. However, it is only a short drive from Mpumalanga Airport. The place is maintained in excellent condition. Being there, all the problems of the world seem far away. We stayed at the Leopard Lodge, which has a private plunge pool. While lounging in the pool you can watch the wildlife walk by—a corner of paradise on earth. But most importantly, I would like to stress that all the staff treated us as if we were their only guests. My health, unfortunately, was not at its best. On our return from our visit to Kruger Park, we went out for dinner. Zinhie, without asking, brought me a large glass of hot lemon drink, which was just what I needed at that moment. When I needed to get to the nearest pharmacy in White River, Kien and Nico were ready to take me at a moment's notice, without any compensation. I cannot name all the staff, but you were all excellent and exceeded all our expectations.

If I had to mention one thing that could be better, it would be the transfer price to the airport I think 895 Rand is too expensive.

Our stay was truly exceptional. I took my grandmother for a getaway to celebrate her 77th birthday, and the hospitality was outstanding. The staff took excellent care of her, accommodating her dietary needs by adjusting dinner meals and providing a stepper in our room for easy access to the bathtub. They also brought cushions to the restaurant so she could sit comfortably. On her birthday, the staff sang and danced for her, making it an unforgettable experience. When she misplaced her cellphone, they ensured it was returned to Johannesburg within a day. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning scenery, and friendly staff made our stay delightful. Tania, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt special. I can’t wait to visit again.

The rooms are very spacious, high privacy and enjoyed the outside shower (There are no TVs in the rooms). The area is not completely out of town but once you are inside the establishment it feels like your far away from the nearest town therefore it still gives you the holiday feeling. The lodge does not have a variety of activities to do on site they only offer game drive, romantic picnic and spar only, so I recommend this lodge for a person/people who want to rest. I personally had a good rest and enjoyed a really good book. You order breakfast and lunch from the menu which means its not a buffet kind of style and dinner is buffet style and can only enjoy what the chef has prepared which was not bad was a home cooked meal.

Nothing.
