Lovely comfy bed, good sized room. Friendly staff and very quiet. Very clean also
Some of the decor could do with updating and the carpet in the room needed replacing.

The scenery, being exceptionally close to the helicopter pad watching the helicopters land and fly off. Close to the Riverside, the restaurant and food was good. the jacuzzi and steam. The room was nice and big. The hotel overall is very attractive inside, nicely decorated and clean. I like the fact they had a excerise bike in the lounge area close to my room which I didn't actually get to use. I did use the gym.
Swimming pool was ridiculously small. The room got stuffy at night. Couldn't open windows although there is air con.To operate the lighting was difficult because you had to operate via the TV.

The location for us was great, and the views were fab.....witnessed a helicopter landing on the pad situated outside our room, which was exciting. The size of the room and bathroom were very generous, we stayed in an Emporer Suite , we really loved the jacuzzi bath in the room. We ate in the restaurant in the afternoon and evening, the food was fabulous we loved the Wagu burgers. The cocktails were great too 🍹 Breakfast was good, eggs made to order and we loved the delicious samosas that were on offer. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the restaurant and bar in the evening had a great buzz 👌 The spa facilities and gym were also good.
When we arrived the reception and corridors leading to our room were freezing luckily our room was nice and toasty. The decor was a little dated throughout the hotel, and I hate to say it a little cheap looking (plastic garish flowers and astro turf). Given that it stated the suite had a minibar we were disappointed when we were advised that there was no minibar in the room just water and tea and coffee provided ....not even a biscuit. The toiletries in the bathroom were average and did not appear to be of a high quality. We have stayed in many hotels over the years where we have paid quite a bit less and the rooms have had a minibar with wine beer and soft drinks along with a coffee machine included in the price. Felt like this hotel is trying to be luxurious but is done on a budget.

The restaurant staff were great, and attentive. Reception staff were a little cold, but nevertheless accommodating and helpful.
Toilet brush needed in rooms, more clearer information needed about how to control the lights in the room through the TV and air conditioning.

I liked the look of the hotel and the fact it had spa facilities. The room was a good size .I booked a double. Lovely big bathroom with bidet. Toiletries provided. Plus robe and slippers for when using the spa. I don't usually bother with TV when I'm away but I put it on the morning I leaving and discovered that I could have controlled the lights by remote. Room service menu available. Breakfast was optional. I didn't eat at the hotel the restaurant was in another part of the hotel across the courtyard. Asian cuisine. Opened to non residents too. Did have a few cocktails there tho which were good. Nice bar . Cuban cigars available. Lovely setting on river Thames. I was staying end of February and it looked like they were starting to get the garden area ready for the spring. Spa was quite small but nice and clean with lockers available. Didn't have time to try the treatments so don't know what rooms like. Short walk to Battersea high street where there are more cafes, pubs takeaways. About 40 minutes walk along the Thames path to Battersea power station. Just watch out for cyclists and joggers. Good bus service available.
I did have the option to upgrade to a better room after booking but I chose not to. The room over looked the courtyard which sounded nice but the courtyard was just the area between the hotel and the restaurant and due to glass wall window s I felt a bit exposed! Also first morning I woken by the recycling lorry which was right underneath and felt like it in my room!! Hotel situated by Battersea helicopter station so one went off every morning about 8am and also under flight path...planes going out from bout same time. Room was supposed to have a mini bar. It did not . I could order to my room but I disappointed that the information on booking was incorrect. Could also be more lighting in room as it wasn't good for reading.

The quirkiest, coolest, plush little stay - well connected just outside central, really clean, very quiet and chill, lovely staff, very comfy bed, good tv and channels, good mod cons in room for temp control and lovely shower pressure and white company toiletries...Gym was lovely and very quiet, solo experience - spa was closed but would have loved to use the little pool and jacuzzi; looked spotless and very relaxing. Tea and coffee prep in the room, mini fridge and robes with slippers. All small touches that make it very comfortable.
Other than the room overlooking a car park entrance / drive through for guests (doors banging and engines occassionally) and the helipad (yes helipad) in the complex next to us, its pretty perfect. I heard a little even with earplugs but not troublesome amount at all. Hotel itself was VERY quiet and calm all evening.

Such lovely friendly staff from the moment we walked in the door. We were allowed to check in a little early which was unexpected but we were so grateful after our flight. We used the spa when we arrived which was fab and they have a great gym room too. The room was so clean and spacious with everything we needed in it. The hotel itself was immaculately clean and the lobby was really lovely decorated. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was in a good location with many bus links and within walking distance of Clapham Junction. Very reasonably priced for a weekend too. We would recommend.

The Rafayel is one of London's secret hotels: new-comers to London might be shy of venturing south of the river but with a bus stop outside heading straight to Clapham Junction, one outside heading straight to Victoria, and easy taxi access to the Embankment, it's a snap to get into the heart of the city very swiftly. Being slightly further away allows for far greater space and comfort than one finds in Central London at an excellent price - having stayed at a lot of London hotels for work, having seen bog-standard central hotels charge the earth for a shoebox or luxury hotels charge astronomical sums for ultimately nothing much, getting charming, peaceful, well-equipped rooms at a fair price is a joy. In this case, the hotel kindly upgraded me to the rather palatial junior suite which gave me a grand view of the river, space to work, space to dine, a full bathroom and kitchen facilities - everything I could possibly wish. Thank you very much indeed to the team!

The staff were really friendly and the bedroom was really big and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom and shower exceeded the size you normally get in hotels.
Now the decor kind of threw me, as its a spa the walls on the top floor were painted with tress and a kind of Chinese inspiration. However it was a bit of a mis match of decors with silver dolphins and bold printed floors. This is me being picky and not expecting this. You had to leave the hotel and go across the entrance to breakfast which I didn't expect.

I spent five nights there recently, and I was impressed by the size of the room, the cleanliness, and the breakfast. The hotel has a good location, and it is easy to get to the tub by taking the bus that stops in front of the hotel (#170). The hotel's decoration is a bit overwhelming because it's too much for me, yet the service and comfort are good. The mattress is not as comfortable as I was expecting. It seems a bit cheap and not as good as it is in other hotel, but even though I slept pretty good. The internet was a bit slow from time to time. Overall, the hotel has a great location, is riverside, is easy to connect with central London, has convenient facilities, and is of great value for money.
The breakfast could sometimes be too repetitive, with the warm option of English breakfast. Adding other warm sides aside from the beans, sausages, mushrooms, and so on could be goo. Yet, it has a great selection of fruits, cereals, buns, breads, yogurts, etc. The mattress rely need to be updated for a good and comfortable hotel type.
