We had a wonderful stay at the Spread Eagle, and we can only recommend it! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the beauty of the hotel, which combines elegance and comfort with a warm atmosphere. The room was spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, perfect for resting after our busy days exploring London. A huge thank you to the gentleman at the reception, who was very kind and attentive to our needs. A special mention also to the lady who served us breakfast every morning with great kindness – it’s always a pleasure to be welcomed with such a warm smile and professionalism. Regarding the food, whether it was breakfast or dinner, everything was generous and delicious. The dishes were carefully prepared, and every meal was an absolute delight. We had a perfect stay, and one thing is certain: when we return to England, we will definitely choose this hotel again without hesitation! No assistance was offered for luggage. which was inconvenient as no lift in hotel. narrow and steep stairs very difficult to carry luggage. however at check out i asked for help and it was given which was a relief.

Absolutely stunning room, had everything you’d need, lots of thoughtful touches, a good hairdryer, the bath of dreams, amazing shower…I could go on all day! Staff were incredible, we felt like old friends and nothing was too much for them. Room was pretty quiet beating in mind it’s Wandsworth, had a fantastic nights sleep. Breakfast was outstanding and even better that we had it delivered to our room! Had the most gorgeous Sunday roast, I’m still dreaming about that beef. 11/10 no notes.

The room was lovely, great comfortable beds (not too soft) with good toppers and crisp top quality linnen. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, don’t miss out on this, there is just so much choice and it’s the best. We were worried about the pub and people drinking outside, but later in the evening everything went quiet and we had a solid sleep. The bathroom is beautiful, it was a tad hot in the room but we got the temperature down with the thermostat. The location is also good between 35~40 by train or bus min you’ll be in SoHo with regular connections, not longer than most other places in Londen. Telly recommended, what a gem!

This is the second time I have stayed at the Spread Eagle. It's a great little find! The rooms are really quirky. They have the English country house feel. Very clean and comfortable. You do feel like you are in a bedroom in your own home. The bed is nice and big and the bathroom lovely with nice products. The manager and staff are incredibly friendly.

I guess you can't avoid the noise in London. Wandsworth High Street is so very busy with traffic. I was on the road side this time and my room was quite noisy. The last time I stayed I was on the other side of the hotel and it was much quieter, so if traffic noise bothers you, ask for a room off of the road side.

Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful room, very comfortable bed, marvellous furnishings tastefully made and characterised by the perfection of the chronicity of its elements. Even the old style telephone!!! Exceptionally clean. Everything top, I loved it. I had only a little perplexity in finding the entrance, perhaps because it was evening and I was tired. Here are photos to make it easier for other guests. Congratulations to those who run it, ten and praise!

Lovely, clean, well decorated rooms! We were given a ground floor accessible room that sat next to the pub with outdoor pub benches just outside and were really impressed! The room was set back from the road so the traffic didn't disturb us too much. The pub has incredible food for a reasonable price too! Close to Wandsworth shopping centre, good eateries and coffee shops and close to a bus stop too.

Unfortunately the coffee machine wasn't working in our room, but that was the only flaw.

The staff, the whole team, were excellent. Friendly and welcoming I can’t praise them too highly. It’s staff that make a place, you can have a lovely room but if the team don’t make you feel welcome no matter all the trimmings, in my opinion, they are lost! The room was nice, it was well equipped and very clean and tidy, bed very comfortable. The pub was really nice, albeit on a main road, it didn’t affect our sleep on our room (15) was at the front. We dined there and enjoyed the food.

I thought it was costly for what essentially is a pub with rooms. We paid well over £200 per night and that didn’t include breakfast. I guess Wimbledon tennis fortnight pushed the cost up , unsure what a “ normal “ rate would be.

This was one of the most beautiful Hotels I've ever stayed at (especially given the price). It has a lovely cosy feel and was so immaculately put together. The room had a comfortable bed and pillow, toiletries, several fresh towels, and a great snack basket. Moreover, there was also a coffee machine, a kettle, and an *allergen-free* complimentary snack. Second, the staff were so kind and wonderful. Graham and Shannon were simply fabulous. I accidentally forgot to print a set of documents that were critical for work, and Shannon immediately came to my rescue. Though Spread Eagle isn't exactly at the heart of the city, it has a strong public transportation network, making everything accessible. There are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and other establishments conveniently located. There is also a lovely park nearby. For those with visa appointments at the VFS office @ Wadsworth, this is perfect. The office is only a short 2-minute walk from the Hotel. I loved my stay here, and I definitely look forward to returning to Spread Eagle. This was money well-spent :)

My goodness what a surprise treat! We were looking for a place not too far from Wimbledon at the last minute. Got a very reasonable rate and assumed that it would be the usual pub room that does the job. But it was a very high quality room with lots of small details that you don't get even in 5* hotels. Very well stocked snacks and bar, beautifully designed and decorated and the most comfortable bed/linen/pillows. Only wish we had been staying longer to enjoy it all properly. We arrived late at night and left very early the next morning to join The Queue but reception staff were so friendly and helpful.
