It felt like you were living in a house rather than a hotel, which had its pros and cons! It was really well designed! Beautiful details! The shower and bathroom was really nice! The fact that it was automated meant you felt like you could come and go as you pleased, which was nice. It was really quiet I loved the roof terrace in the mornings, excellent!

That there were absolutely no staff on site to help with anything or provide new towels, new change of sheets if needed, to help with recommendations, which would have been really useful as a solo traveller. Also as a solo traveller I did feel a little unsafe knowing that there were no members of staff on site should anything go wrong or anything dangerous happen on my way home at night. For this reason I generally made sure I was home early every night which felt quite limiting. As well as there being no onsite staff, the contact from the hotel through booking.com was very slow

The hotel is in a great location in Telde, close to the historic area, and beside a lovely church and square. Telde is near Gran Canaria airport, so this hotel is an ideal location if you are coming from or going to the airport. The hotel is in an old building which is very atmospheric and the restoration work has been done very well. The rooms are comfortable and modern but within an historic building setting. There are lovely polished wooden floors in the bedroom I stayed in. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted me with restaurant choices and booking. Communications were really excellent. There is a very pleasant roof terrace where you can sit outside and enjoy the views and listen to the church bells. All in all I thought this was a fabulous hotel which exceeded my expectations.

If you have a car it’s not so handy but I managed ok. Parking is an issue in a lot of Grand Canaria.

Additionally, the surrounding area is bustling with shops and restaurants, providing ample opportunities for exploration and dining. What sets this place apart is its serene ambiance; unlike many touristy areas, it offers a peaceful atmosphere, allowing visitors to truly immerse themselves in the local culture.

We were very lucky to have gotten a reservation at the Hotel sXVI! Because we were traveling around and did not book any rooms beforehand, we got lucky and got one night at this place. We absolutely loved the location, house, room - everything! Because we arrived late we did the self check-in, but it was supereasy. We got a room on the second floor, loved the view towards the street and the church, good place for peoplewathing. The breakfast was convenient and lovely, we got everything we needed. Maybe some (boiled) eggs would have been appreciated by my husband, but I could not miss a thing. The lovely girl helping us at night via phone for checking in and also working on breakfast time, was superfriendly and welcoming. Thank You! The location is the best in Telde - in the core of the centre and great for a small walk before landing in one of the tabernas.

The lady on reception was very helpful and pleasant. The room was good, clean and comfortable. The shower was great. Useful to have a small fridge, small kettle and desk. Very nicely updated historic property. Easy to organise travel to airport, only around 10 minutes by taxi (18 euro, booked from the reception).

Second chair would have been a bonus. Satellite TV, but would have been great to have available an English news channel (e.g. BBC World).

The location next to San Juan was perfect and we had booked to stay during the San Juan festival it was a fantastic experience and we enjoyed the stay thoroughly.

The roof terrace could have done with some chairs and lighting so it could be enjoyed on an evening.

Beautiful hotel in quiet spot next to the cathedral in the old part of Telde. The room was perfect with a lovely comfortable bed. The rooftop and pool were amazing but it was too cold and windy to be up there for long. The staff were so nice and helpful.

Although we loved the hotel and the location, the main part of Telde about 15-20 minutes walk away is not very appealing. There were some restaurants locally but most were closed during our visit.

Quiet location in the old part of Telde. The rooftop terrace and pool were lovely. Very generous breakfast. It was good to have a kettle and fridge.

As there were no drawers, cupboards or shelves, you had to live out of your suitcase. There was a hanging rail and a few hangers only. The room was very stylish, but not practical. Installing some coat hooks a towel rail and bedside chests would be so helpful

Amazing small hotel. Atmospheric but modern rooms, air con works, bed was comfortable, great shower, lots of space. Nice terrace and great location - right in San Juan, great for exploring the area and close to nice bars and restaurants. Friendly staff.

There is a bit of noise from the hall, but it is an old hotel so it is to be expected. Parking can be a challenge but we managed.

The room look so authentic , clean , located just in center , we really enjoyed our stay

I wish all hotel would be at same level as this one 😅 can’t say anything bad
