The price was great! Everything was clean and well set up. For those into skiing but on a budget I would definitely recommend! Although the season was over you could see how they make it a comfortable stay for skiers with fans, large fridge, heaters, and generous with towels and pillows in a good way!
More of a heads up - they are making improvements to the property so you’ll see construction materials in the parking lot but wasn’t very loud when we were there and didn’t bother us at all!

Location is excellent and in the center of town. The mattresses in our room seemed new and were very comfortable. The ice machine was working and had the "good" nugget ice. Wifi in our room was stable and fast. Current owners/managers seem to be making strides in updating the Ponderosa.
This lodge is on the older side and shows its age. I do wish the doors had a deadbolt instead of relying only on the door handle lock. Red River overall is a safe place and we had no security issues. The main room does not have many lights so it can be a bit dark. Also, there is no air conditioning (but most lodges in Red River don't). They do provide a box fan in each room.

Renovated room was very nice - Only suggestion would be a sign in second floor rooms asking guests to be courteous to guests in rooms below them. The herd of Elephants that was above my room was very annoying . Beds & Linen were very comfortable A+. Need to update blankets & Bedspreads

Clean motel with fridge, sink, and oven/stove. Beds were comfortable and motel was in a good location.
Amenities are dated but nothing of major importance.

We liked everything about our stay. We were blessed with several inches of snow on Saturday night making skiing even more enjoyable the next day. Including snow sledding and playing in the snow a wonderful White Christmas.

Mike was a gem! I left my new jacket and he took it upon himself to mail it back to me. We love that this lodge is centrally located and so pet friendly. There is a small grassy area at the back of the building so one does not have to take the pets to the dog park all the time.

Staff was very kind and nice. I like they are so close to a good restaurant!
It was a bit cold and we couldn't set the heater. We can hear water sounds and chatting from other rooms.
