The location is perfect! Best spot to be in town to access main street and all the things. The lodge aesthetic is my kind of style. Got a king ski view room on the second floor and no regrets. It was comfortable, private, easy to access. Hot water is almost instant here. Lots of lighting options. A big dresser to unpack and a nice table and chairs. Felt spaceous but cozy in the room. Comfy pillows and bed too. The dedicated parking lot was a pleasant bonus! Didn't try the hot tub room, but will next time. Every staff interaction was excellent, good people here! Drove from COS and needed to do an after hours check in. Their system for that is flawless! Was very nice to get in late and know we can still get to the room. We visit RR often to vacay with family and have stayed at a couple other places in town. This will be the spot to stay moving forward!
We stayed here early August, and it was very warm during the day, and while I did not expect AC at all, it was nice they provided a fancy fan. If you open the window and door to the deck and have the fan going, it does cool down at night and it's comfortable to sleep. I'm pretty sensitive to heat and did not suffer here. It just gets stuffy in there during the day. That's the only thing worth mentioning here. Otherwise everything worked great!

Staff was nice, beautiful room, thoughtfully appointed (even had a special make up face cloth). Competitive price with other lodges. Good TV and quite comfortable. Great views of rabbits and deer on the lawn in the mornings as they wandered down the Red River which coursed past our place.
a sun shield on the window above the bed would keep the early morning sun out of our eyes. Maid service daily but the maid never cleaned AT ALL. All she/he did was change the towels and left the confer needles all over the floor and the tub dirty. MOSTLY, the tub/shower floor was very slick whenever the body scrub drained off our bodies so that we had to hang onto the shower rod to ensure we didn't fall. A simple rubber mat would have fixed that.

We really enjoy Red River NM and Alpine Lodge is perfectly located near activities, and actually provides onsite activities. We only stayed 2 nights, but the accommodations could easily make a longer stay very easy.
Our room backed up to a somewhat busy street. Our previous visits had us located in cabin / lodge that was deeper into the property away from the street noises.

Within walking distance to everything in Red River. Many breakfast, lunch and dinner places/restaurants. Short drives to Los Alamos and Bandelier National Monument. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Wish we could have stayed longer. Prices a bit high, but we brought some snacks. Had to wait for clinic hours for removal of stitches, but could have driven to Taos in any emergency.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alpine Lodge. Quiet, charming, comfortable beds, and great staff, plus centrally located for easy access to the main drag. You can tell they are working to upgrade and renovate a lovely old property and it is worth the investment. (And they graciously mailed back some shirts I left hanging for in the closet!)
Small thing, and my fault, the pillows were way too tall for me — and I didn’t think to ask for thinner ones which they had.

The location simply could not have been more ideal for us, as it is in the center of the main tourist section of Red River and a short walk to the ski lift and aerial park, both of which we wanted to experience. The facility itself is rather basic, but more than sufficient. Our room was spacious, the staff were super-friendly and accommodating, and the view from the balcony was lovely. If we ever return to Red River, this is where we'll stay.

The location, the alpine decor, in room fridge & coffee maker. The room, while not spacious, is plenty roomy, very comfortable. The staff are extremely personable & helpful.
I requested a 2nd floor room for the balcony. I didn't realize the number of stairs we'd need to climb at ages 77 & 80. My fault for not asking.

The grounds were clean. Front desk staff super friendly and helpful. They answered questions as needed and provided service when requested. The lodge is conveniently located and within walking distance to everything. The red river is right behind the property with a little firepit along with some horseshoe courts in the lawn.

I loved the quiet peaceful atmosphere. it was in walking distance of everything in town. The room was clean and contained everything I needed except a hair dryer, which was supplied at the office.
Being from Texas where weather does not fluctuate much during the year, I was not familiar with “off season” so the office staff was not available much of the time. I was, however, given a phone number to call if I needed any assistance. I was disappointed that so many businesses in town were closed, but once again, that is because I was not familiar with “off season” changes.

The location was great, right near coffee shops and restaurants and the ski valley.
The room was very basic for costing $200 a night in the off season, and the TV was tiny, but I understand it's more of a ski lodge than a luxury room.
