The accomodation was great and within easy walking distance to restaurants and food stores etc. it was nice to relax after travelling and concentrating on the windy road through the mountains. And to be able to park your car right outside the apartment.

Entrance to the apartment was a little difficult to see. And although there were about 100 hells angels motorbike riders in town that night with them riding there motorbikes down the Main Street all night long, so that was a little noisy, but that’s not the fault of the apartment. I’m sure that doesn’t happen often.

Beautiful view overlooking the bay. Great facilities in the kitchen, lots of kitchenware. Quiet.

We arrived 30 mins early and found the apartment had not been cleaned after the previous guests. 10 mins later the cleaner arrived and explained she had a flat tyre which caused the delay. Which is fine but I had texted the rental company before the cleaner arrived and they did not respond at all. Not even to check if everything was ok afterwards. Some of the cutlery and crockery was dirty.

What a lovely little place, it was so clean and tidy and all of the amenities were there. Great to see books to read and the stereo with a few CD's to listen to, and the TV with freeview was excellent. Nice and handy to Coromandel town, where everything is within walking distance, we highly recommend this place and we would stay again.

Just the step in through the ranchslider into the house, as a very large gap so we did trip up over it a couple of times. There is a sign however, that warns you about the step so just need to remember to look at it.

The property has everything you need for a short break. The self contained accommodation was clean, neat and tidy. The apartment came with all cooking utensils and kitchen facilities. The property is well styled and presents well. The apartment is in the centre of town and is an easy walk to all shops.

The bed was a little to soft for my liking (personal preference). The entrance from the road is a little tricky to initially find and it can be difficult to turn into for larger vehicles (4wd’s).

We did not want to leave the Coromandel Cottage. Why would you ever leave this place? So comfortable, homey, well set up and provisioned. Absolutely beautiful location with fantastic views. Very comfortable bed with lots of extra bedding. This place is so well organised, that, for example, there is underfloor heating in the bathroom, in addition to the towel warmers and heat lamps.

This place was so terribly beautiful and well-located that we did not want to leave. We did not go sightseeing, we just stayed home and enjoyed it. Ok, the weather wasn't great, but that just made the Cottage feel all the more cosy.

The accommodation nestled on the waters edge ( some 25 meter from high tide mark). A once in a blue moon scenario of a Tsunami siren piecing the nights quiet ( only found out about it later the next day), a result of the 7.5 earthquake in Taiwan. How do you place this into the Compendium as to what the siren shrill mean ( without scaring the customers away). Some items like the ironing board need replacing rather than haphazardly being repaired ( making it dangerous to use as the hot iron purchased upon the deck ( being unstable) nearly fell off. Some small running repairs.

The apartment was further out of town than I thought but it was actually nice as it was very quiet and secluded. The view was stunning overlooking the bay and the apartment itself was cute and had everything you needed. Sitting out in the front verandah in the afternoon was lovely. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the downstairs apartment and it was super quiet until someone moved upstairs. You could hear a little movement from upstairs but we really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely beautiful location. Right on the beach. Sitting on the deck was divine. The view is great even from inside. So peaceful but also close to town for supplies. Very clean and cozy inside. Great bbq and even a dish washer. The only thing was the 2nd bedroom was around the other side of the cabin so a bit far for my son. But it’s a total beach shack which is all part of the appeal. It looks like it is well looked after and loved.

- Easy to get to coromandel town from the apartment. - Amazing views - Parking was easily available - Great selection of board games for entertainment - Kitchen was really well stocked (lots of utensils, plates, cups, pans etc) - Tidy apartment

- Apartment had signage around regarding being mindful of the use of water due to it being shared by the upper and lower unit via a water tank. Not a negative, but keep this in mind as you need to keep an eye on the water usage especially if going with a larger group (showers, washing dishes etc) - The second bedroom was quite dark and didn’t come with mosquito nets like the master bedroom did - Not much provided in terms of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap). Not a negative but make sure you take your own

This was a small wooden beach house that was well equipped and well presented. It is probably getting ready for a little TLC in places but had all we needed for a few days stay. The main selling point was the location. Step out of the property straight onto a beautiful pristine beach in a lovely bay. Great for a refreshing swim.

Overall very good, but maybe needs a refresh in areas. Starting to look a bit tired.
