The Huntsman is one of those rare finds that you hope for on your travels. It is on top of a hill on the edge of the village where the only sound in the night is the call of an owl and you get woken by the dawn chorus of birds. It has only 3 rooms. Our room appeared to have been refurbished very recently and -even though a tad small - had all the right things. The bathroom was state of the art. The restaurant was exceptional, fine food nicely presented. Beyond my understanding why the don’t have any Gault Millau points. The staff was very good too. Special thanks to the lady who served the breakfast and also cleaned our room every day. Such people are hard to find nowadays.

It‘s a detail really but it would be nice to have a towel rail besides the radiator and a hook for the hand-towel by the sink.

The Huntsman is in a lovely rural location but within easy driving distance of many places of interest. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed for three nights and ate in the pub each evening. The dining room is well appointed, the food was well cooked with generous servings. We found each member of staff to be helpful and friendly.

The weather was very hot during our stay and the winterweight duvet was far too warm. A lightweight duvet for summer months would make the lovely rooms even more comfortable. A little more choice on the menu for vegetarians and vegans would be nice, especially for guests staying multiple nights

The Huntsman is a proper home-from-home. The staff can't do enough for you. Food was excellent and so was the accommodation. We had some car trouble whilst out during the day and I rang to cancel dinner as it seemed likely we wouldn't be back in time and an hour later they called to make sure we were ok and see if we needed any help! The whole place is beautifully maintained, cosy in the bar area with a huge open fire, and lovely in the dining room. However, it is really the staff that make it - they are so friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here and using as a base to explore the surrounding area including Ironbridge and The Wrekin which are only a few miles away.

Nothing - it was faultless

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The room was well equipped the only issue being there was no aircon which on a really hot evening made cooling the room difficult there wasn't a fan to circulate air either. Staff couldn't be more helpful from booking through to checkout . There was a good selection for Breakfast including cereals, toast and plenty of cooked options all of a very high standard We would stay again

The property is in a beautiful location and has wonderful facilities. The staff were amazing and the food was superb. The evening of our stay we had a lovely meal in the restaurant which had great choices and was definitely value for money. The staff also did a lovely surprise for my son as it was his birthday, so we were very grateful. The breakfast the next morning was brilliant and it was freshly cooked. We had an amazing experience and hope to be back soon.

A gem of a place with excellent facilities and extremely helpful staff. The cosy bar had the advantage of a real fire. There was a spacious dining room for more formal meals. The food in both the bar and restaurant was superb. Very good breakfasts. Although the room was above the carpark it was very soundproof and the view across to distant fields was beautiful. Everything about The Huntsman was to a high standard. It was well placed for walks and access to places of interest. Can't wait to return there.

The room was perfectly spacious for one and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed. The setting of the property is reasonably quiet, and the room was well away from the bar, so it had a peaceful feel to it. Appreciated the fact that it was also a CAMERA listed establishment. It was easy to drive from there to the Wrekin or to Ironbridge, both areas worth exploring. The food was excellent, as was the service. I linked up with family whilst there, and we all enjoyed our meal.

I couldn't find anything I didn't like, apart, perhaps, from the weather, and there was not much they could do about that!

Really nice small hotel/pub restaurant with rooms. Clean and comfortable in great quiet location. Breakfast included was generous and well cooked. As was the evening mrnu in rhevrestaurant. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Great for a one night or short stay.

Nothing really that affected our one night. However rooms was small for more than a short stop over, as there was no space for seating, so had to sit on bed. Very small tv as well.

It was amazing to come around a corner and see the beautiful hotel The restaurant was surprisingly good with first class food and a lovely environment to enjoy it

Unfortunately the boiler for feeding our hot water to our room failed . Although it wasn’t their fault management could have availed us of a shower in another unit to use . I was told about it as we were leaving. This was so disappointing and didn’t live up to the level of care they had shown in other areas.

Everything about it. Selected it because it was near to where we needed to be the following day. It seemed to be a little out of the way, but it wasn't at all. Easily found by sat nav. The bar and restaurant were busy and prices were not out of the way. The food in the restaurant was beautiful with a good selection on the menu. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and good value for money.

The fact that we had only booked one night!
