I booked an executive room which was surprisingly spacious. The A/C was a blessing plus the tap style of entry into the room rather than having to insert the card into a slot. I liked the bathroom which had a decent shower. The large loft style windows provided enough light to lift what otherwise risked to be a greyish room. The bed was comfortable. The TV was a good size. There were sufficient power points including by the bed. The staff were friendly including on reception which is not always the case in other hotels. I don't understand why some other hotels don't realise first impressions are important and a warm welcome is appreciated after say a long journey. A thank you to a female member of staff who changed the veg included with the main meal to something I liked. She seemed to be good at her job with a warm personality to boot. I thought the food was good honest warming grub which was a pleasant surprise. It was more than the fast food style of options which one finds in some other hotel chains. The breakfast was fine and I enjoyed trying out the coffee machine even if not all options were available. I appreciated the lift to the upper floor which is helpful with luggage. On that floor from memory, I liked a sign indicating the direction to Reception. It is the little things which count. In other hotels, I have managed to get lost in the maze of corridors.

The loft windows in my room needed to be cleaned. The bedroom carpet looked a little worn and might benefit from a professional clean. I may be wrong and It is just its hardworking style. Yes, it is a hotel chain with presumably a uniform style located in an area which is functional rather than picturesque. It may lack the charm of a boutique hotel. However, it was more than good enough for me.

The hotel was in a great location, the room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the bar area was a lovely place to meet for a drink with family.

Not specifically something we didn't like, but if I have to find some negatives it was that the breakfast was ok but I've certainly had better. The hot food tasted very greasy and there was only a small option for the cold breakfast/buffet. Also we had wanted to make use of the swimming pool in the morning, however we couldn't get anywhere near to it due to there being children's swimming lessons taking place.

The suite was very spacious, comfortable furniture, air conditioning working fine, the bathroom with a huge tub and walk in shower were brilliant. The staff has always been friendly and eager to help. The indoor pool was lovely, water temperature super for relaxing and swimming. The bar and restaurant were also clean and inviting, the breakfast, continental and full English, freshly served, was very delicious.

Just as an idea: The glass wall of the walk in shower could have been a little longer so the floor gets lets wet

Allan greeted us at reception in a warm & friendly manner, check in was smooth & courteous with a great knowledge of local area. We used the pool, and the lady on reception very kindly bought us towels. The room itself was Lush, lots of space black out blinds, huge bathtub!! Bed was two beds zipped together. Dislike: Bar on Saturday evening lacking atmosphere, but i guess that depends on residents. My only suggestions would be that a bathrobe would make an extra perfect touch to a very nice suite & some low lighting for nighttime. The bathroom light is too bright at night.

A modern hotel but a little dated however the housekeeping and cleanliness is exceptional. The staff were great, special mention for the kitchen and restaurant staff and the very pleasant young man who served us at the bar in the evening and was back to book us into breakfast in the morning and served our dinner last night! The food was really good quality and value, cooked breakfast spot on and our evening meal was delicious.

I'm 'nitpicking' here but hope this is helpful; bathroom water pressure low but adequate for shower and taps. Bathroom extract fan fan was mildly noisy and ran throughout the night with the light switched off. No aircon, ok in October but.... No continental breakfast option with bread rolls and selection of meats and cheeses

The staff were all very lovely. The room was extremely clean. Breakfast choices were good. Evening meal choices and presentation were great. Car Park was Great. The pool was very warm. The grounds in the garden were pretty. The bar area was nicely designed. The corridors smelt lovely. the bed was comfortable. The room had been aired.

The Changing rooms in the leisure area were filthy the floors need scouring and smelt awful if you closed the leisure area for a thorough industrial deep clean it would make a huge difference. You need to warn people when going for a swim that swimming lessons will be on. The breakfast area feels like a school canteen. The coffee is terrible and uses powdered milk.

Very clean, great location, great view from window and perfect bed.

The heating was on when arrived which wasn’t clear that it was on so we didn’t know to turn it off and so then the hotel was hot over night which made it uncomfortable. We also went to the front desk as the sink wasn’t washing the water away and they said they would sort it but when we arrived back it was still doing the same thing. I think the sink holds the water after then goes over time which isn’t helpful.

Our stay began with the helpful & timely respond to an email request. On arrival we were greeted with happy friendly staff who quickly had us booked in for breakfast & dinner. Our room on the lower ground floor was massive, with a lovely view to the garden & included a lounge area to watch tv as well as a place to work. Would definitely recommend for both business & leisure travelers. Typical English breakfast and great dinner menu. The added bonus was the free onsite parking.

I don't have breakfast. The location was excellent, just a very short walk to the main shopping centre, cinema and other attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room had a great view over the gardens and bed was very comfortable.

The bar area was not manned all the time and I had to wait to get served. Also I was told that the Chef does not commence duty until 1pm and I had wanted a sandwich before that time. I felt that as a busy hotel there should have been availability to get food at anytime of the day.

Absolutely brilliant hotel, one of the best we've stayed in. great value for money. Room was excellent, lovely comfortable bed and pillows. Bath towels were so fluffy and soft. Nice powerful shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room had everything we needed, ideal location. Looked as if the bathroom was freshly refurbished

My only criticism is the toilet was in-between the bath and hand basin and was a very tight fit. I'm not a large lady but sitting on the toilet was a squash.The basin could have been moved closer to the wall and that would have given a bit more room.
