The service! We arrived on Valentines days and there was a free of charge bottle of Prosecco and chocolates in the room. Then we had a rough night when guests moved in the middle of the night to the connecting room next door, we could hear everything… Night shift upgraded us to a Suite and told us to transfer the luggage the next morning. Then on the last day, without anyone requesting it, I received a birthday cupcake for breakfast. Someone must be keeping a tab on the passport birthdates. Very nice touch. We even forgot to pay for mini bar charge and it was on the house. This was a very good hotel experience.

Depending on the room, you can hear what’s happening in the hallways or the rooms next door which make it noisy especially at night :)

Stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic experience. I was upgraded to a beautiful suite with a jacuzzi, sauna, and a stunning view of Villa Medici — pure comfort and elegance. The hotel has a homey yet chic boutique feel, with stylish decor and warm service throughout. There's also a 2-star Michelin restaurant on-site, and the rooftop bar is perfect for sipping a spritz while taking in the panoramic views of Rome’s domes and rooftops. Truly a hidden gem for those who want a more intimate luxury stay in the heart of the city.

The location is excellent and while it’s right where you want to be it’s also two streets over from the hustle and bustle so provides more privacy and quiet. The staff was beyond helpful, they gave excellent recommendations and went above and beyond for us when they were informed it was our honeymoon. The decor of the rooms was beautiful, luxurious and tasteful. The beds were very comfortable and the maid service did an impeccable job. Turn down service every night was a treat to come home to. The amenities were excellent and the products provided in bathroom were top quality. We were so sad to leave the hotel but would 100% recommend the First Roma Arte to friends and it will be our first choice when returning to Rome.

At my arrival the hotel made an upgrade to our booking and we received a beautiful suite with an outdoor terrace provided with a jacuzzi and sauna. It was fabulous!! The service is excellent, the housekeeping are like invisible fairies keeping everything clean and orderly. We received twice a complimentary fruit basket and we don’t have words enough to describe their incredible service and hospitality.

The hotel is in an old style building in a quiet side street close to the centre of Old Rome. If visiting for the sights most of what you need or may want to see is within a 5 to 30 minute stroll through the wonderful centre. We had a suite, close to the rooftop terraced bar/ restaurant on the top floor, which was spacious and comfortable with a large marble bathroom. There was some background noise from the restaurant late on Saturday night but not intrusive. The staff were very helpful overall, and we were made to feel welcome. When asked, we mentioned the noise on Saturday, and they were upset we hadn't mentioned at the time which they would have rectified, so fair enough. Ate in the rooftop restaurant on the first night. Superb food, great service, and what a location. Like most quality capital city central hotels, anywhere in Europe it's not cheap but it met expectations, and we would stay again.

Newly appointed Michelin Star downstairs restaurant closed Sunday Monday Tuesday not just Sunday as mentioned on their site.

Amazing, central location. Room was a dream. We had a hot tub which was so relaxing. Coffee in the morning on the roof with a view was beautiful.

Everything was almost perfect. Just a warning (which is likely a warning for all Rome hotels). Don’t leave garbage from food in your room overnight. We left an empty pizza box and attracted some ants. But no bugs otherwise!

The staff was so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to provide us with helpful information. The location of the hotel is excellent. A short walk to Spanish steps and in the middle of shopping but on a quiet street.
