Bar and restaurant very nicely done. Drinks reasonably priced and food was excellent. The owner knows his stuff being a chef. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb, especially the sticky toffee pudding. Free car parking was a great addition and location excellent for pubs & shops.

Our room was up in he rafters so I would request a different room on a lower floor next time and the bathroom was very small. There are low beams too so a crash helmet is recommended! We did however book at the last minute. The breakfast was excellent but I think a little pricey... £16.50 each on top of the room price. I have since discovered that booking direct with the hotel includes breakfast so we'll be doing that next time. All in all though The Curious Fox is an excellent well run hotel ideal for a weekend away in Yorkshireville. We will definitely be returning.

Room 1 is spacious with comfy beds. Nice toiletries provided and a good shower. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good and the staff were professional and friendly Lovely terrace to enjoy a drink in the sunshine

The bathroom is small and the bathroom door gets in the way when standing at the sink We couldn't get the TV to work Breakfast was an additional charge, so was coffee/ tea and no juice provided. Our fried eggs were hard and the sausages were overdone _ not value for money at £30 we felt

Breakfast was nice service good, had evening meal in hotel which was very nice Location of hotel brilliant

Our room was a deluxe room which we booked through Booking .com we will go direct to hotel when we stay again. I thought the room was very noisy having the kitchen underneath or next to the room doors banging etc staff arriving at 6.30am could hear everything also the socket situation - no socket near mirror which was annoying when trying to dry hair but overall we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Bed super comfy and lovely temperature set for room.beautiful features exposed wood beams.bath with jacuzzi incorporated super made us feel special on arriving.beautiful and very clean.worth the Excellent rating guys x

No thing wrong for us at all from start to finish however we were fine as had small car but could imagine if have bigger car carpark spaces tight so just to make you aware

The hotel was located in the centre of Skipton, within easy walking distance of both the castle and its famous market. All the food that we had during our stay was delicious with the portion sizes being just enough without overfacing you. However, I think the most memorable element to our stay was the staff. They were a genuinely friendly, caring team of people. We both have mobility issues and they were very attentive without being overbearing. They were friendly and helpful - the kind of people you would be proud to claim as friends or family.

There was only one minor drawback as far as we were concerned and that was that there was no fan in the room. It was very hot while we were there and a fan would have helped cool down the room.

Friendly staff, exceptionally clean, fantastic food, great location.

Not the fault of The Curious Fox & may not be a problem normally, but it was a very hot night, so we had the window open, but the church bells ring out regularly throughout the night & the gym across the road was playing loud dance music early in the morning, so we didn't get a great sleep. That being said, the rest of our stay was so excellent that we won't let this stop us going back in the future.

Fred and Staff were really lovely. They made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The Sunday lunch was amazing.

Room was perfect for my fiend and I in #1. My only two negatives would be the Price was high . Which I completely understand, being in such great location. And I would do the same to dissuade the riffraff Stag/Hen scenario. For this price tag , I would recommend an inclusive Breakfast which includes a coffee/tea.

Loved the location walking distance to the centre of Skipton. The room was lovely and spacious and very quirky. Lots of tea and coffee and free cans of water and biscuits. Loved the spa bath and shower.

We went during the week Tuesday to Thursday to celebrate a special birthday and the bar was only open when the restaurant was open so had to go elsewhere which was a shame as the weather was horrendous. Also other residents on returning from their night out were very noisy at 1am banging doors etc.. not the hotels fault but maybe the hotel should put up signs to be quiet and mindful of other guests staying in the hotel. The church bells ringing till the early hours.

We had a great stay - the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. We didn't have breakfast at Curious Fox, but did eat their Sunday lunch, which was fantastic. Alongside the roasts, they menu was lovely, with great looking specials and a good wine list. The location was great for exploring Skipton too.

The property is really nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortabel. The location is great. The staff are really friendly and helpful! The food is amazing!

My room seemed to be near or above the kitchen and the bathroom had a strong smell of food being cooked. Even though the food in the restaurant is excellent, it‘s not so pleasant having the smell of fried fish in your bathroom. Sorry
