Great location. Most staff incredibly friendly. Did have one bad experience with one member of staff, but overall fantastic and friendly. Good room size.

Despite having the most expensive room option, I was disappointed to discover the mini bar was not stocked and various 'extras' had not been made available. Had someone reached out in advance, I would have responded 'yes' to all the extras and been happy to pay! There was a lovely setup of wine glasses, but no wine. Also wasn't impressed with the charge for eggs at breakfast, I thought I had paid for the all inclusive experience. Had I been given the option, I would have paid upfront to avoid these additional charges. Tiny niggle, the cigarette butts under the decking / balcony could do with cleaning up!

My stay at Kimpton exceeded my expectations as it really lived up to a 'wellness' hotel where I could choose a plant (and have it named) to brighten up the room, an amethyst to sleep with and Kimpton was able to offer so many other things that tourists could easily forget. The housekeeping also left a beautiful gesture of a cleaning cloth for me to wipe clean the crystals I travel with. Kimpton also offers wellness class to attend and in-room yoga. Excellent social hour. Location is very close by to AMS Central Station and the shopping/food district. Special mention to Juan (who was able to offer me a room earlier than 3pm check in), Rafael at concierge & Hugh at breakfast who made such a wonderful difference to my stay.

My stay at Kimpton De Witt was truly exceptional! The staff stood out for their sincerity and warmth, going above and beyond to make me feel right at home. Their genuine hospitality added a personal touch that made my experience unforgettable. The rooms were impeccably clean, thanks to the outstanding housekeeping team who did an excellent job throughout my stay. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, which added to the comfort. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to improve the toilet design and air conditioning system for an even better experience.

This hotel is fabulous! One of the best hotels I've been to around the world in terms of service. Location is perfect, a couple of minutes walk to the Centraal Station. There is a tram stop in front of the hotel too and just a few stops will take you to the musuems. There is a street right beside the hotel where you can go shopping or even go to the small supermarkets. If you walk along the street, you'll reach the Kalverstraat. For Muslims, there's plenty of halal options within 2 mins walk. The hotel staff are so welcoming and polite. All of them. I was really wowed by that. Superb service. They are all so helpful from the front desk to the concierge to the housekeeping. The lobby is nice and has lots of seating space with fireplaces. The rooms are big by Amsterdam standard. We have a double bed and a comfy sofa bed for our son. It is clean and warm enough for a cold winter's day. There is aircon as well. The bathroom is very good sized and clean.

We had a wonderful stay here! The location of the hotel is perfect! A 5 minute walk from the train station. The tram stops right outside the hotel - great for getting around the city! So many attractions within easy walking distance! The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and were very quick to assist us with any queries. The complimentary bike hire was a brilliant bonus - the staff got us set up and on our way and we enjoyed cycling along the canals and up to VondelPark. The social hour in the hotel bar was a lovely extra too! Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Lovely to receive a personalised birthday greeting in our room - a very thoughtful gesture!

I liked everything! I loved my stay at Kimpton de Witt, I didn’t want to leave. From the first impression; being greeted by the lovely staff at the reception desk; I knew it was going to be a comfortable stay. My room was spacious and had a lovely view of the main street. I liked having the option of many communal areas, including the cafe and celia the restaurant where a lovely buffet breakfast was served each morning. The hotel is located super close to Amsterdam Central train station, the tram is right outside the door and is in walking distance to attractions such as Dam Square and areas such as Jordaan which I loved. I honestly cannot fault my stay in any way. The housekeeping ladies made me smile everyday with their greetings and singing in the hallway. I will come back and stay at Kimpton de Witt and recommend it to friends and family planning to travel to Amsterdam. Thank you for your friendly and professional hospitality!

Very minor thing - fluffier pillows as the ones I had were a little too flat. Other than that, I liked everything.

Get rid of Viking. It seemed like a time share sales hotel.

Very modern and attractive hotel, with very nice recommended restaurant, nice bar and lounges, with ornate interior decorations, including in rooms. Helpful friendly staff. Great location near train station, trolleys, harbor, near shopping and dining streets and historic Dam plaza. Not far from other nice zones like Jordaan, and trolleys go to main museums and park area. Can't beat location.

Hotel was pricey for us. But we wanted a bit of a splurge for our first visit to Amsterdam. The hotel fulfilled our hopes for a comfy, very pleasant base, centrally located. As expected, the breakfast was pricey and we skipped it except for our first morning there, when we ate a complimentary breakfast. I must say it was a grand spread, hard to beat. Also, the room lighting was a bit dim, no ceiling lights, but no major inconvenenience.

Everything! Staff were lovely especially the breakfast staff. OMG THE BED! And yes there is a website - it’s a SEALY made for Kimpton especially - I just wanted to stay in bed! Amazing! Room unto clean and well looked after - actually smelt faintly of fresh paint - immaculate. A right in front of hotel there are the main trams to museums and markets and all the restaurants you wish for. Wonderful stay - will be back!

Hmmmmmm can I be picky and say the breakfast - a bit too sparse ie the choice of breads and cold cuts and cheeses? Otherwise a delight

At breakfast staff was very helpful. They came to our table several times to ask if we wanted anything more. Hugh gave us his name but others were helpful too. People at the reception were also very helpful and there were enough of them at all times so we never had to wait in line.

While most of our stay we had very good impression of the staff there was one episone I'd like to share. In the evening we wanted to have a glass of wine. The bar was full and very noisy. The restaurant was still open, there were a few guests finishing dinner so we asked if we could have a table and have a quick drink. Several waitors passed by and each said that they had to ask someone. Finally someone came out of the kitchen and told us to go to the bar. Eventually we got our wine at the bar of the restaurant and drank it in the lobby.
