Great location and very comfortable!

Stairs were really steep. Not that they should change, but a heads-up before arrival would have been appropriate.

The Hotel is in an excellent location for everything Amsterdam has to offer. Most popular City destinations are within walking distance. The Staff are hard working, polite and helpful. I found the Reception Staff Augustine and Peter very helpful and professional. They demonstrated a willingness to 'Go the extra mile' for anything required. Even though the Hotel requires further modernising it is spotlessly clean and tidy. They also serve drinks for residents at a very reasonable price. When checking in and out they will also take care of your luggage until required,

Only that some of the rooms need updating which I believe they are in the process of doing. The cost of some of the rooms can be a little expensive.

This was a great hotel in the centre of everything and only a 5 minute walk from the main station. You could reach tourist attractions, shops, bars and restaurants within minutes, even seconds. It was the best location. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and we received a warm welcome. The room was clean, tidy and everything in good working order. We could not fault it as a city centre hotel and good value for money. We will definitely return here again.

We had no problems or issues and felt the hotel was a perfect city centre hotel.

Room and facilities were very clean. Liked the very helpful 24-hour front desk staff and ability to store luggage by the front desk after arriving early. This place is ideally located for easy and quick access to public transportation; i.e. both a central train station for travel to the airport and surrounding region in addition to trams and metro to give easy access to the entirety of the city if unable to walk very far.

We didn't mind the very steep stair climbs to the fourth floor with our carry-on-sized luggage. However, it is easy understand that people with larger luggage or physical challenges might find the climb to be very difficult.

The hotel front desk people were very friendly and helpful. I loved the location - just in front of the Amsterdam Central train station.

The stairs were very narrow and it was quite difficult getting a 45-lb suitcase up to my 3rd floor room. There are no elevators and you have to negotiate a steep set of stairs just to get to reception. Then you have to navigate narrow corridors and multiple doors before using a very narrow and tight spiral staircase to get to your room. It was supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel but the whole place smelled strongly of smoke (I don't think other guests much cared about the smoking rules). For me, friendliness of staff and location were the main selling points for this place.

Location! Location! Location! It couldn't be more central. Coming into the Centraal Railway Station you just needed to walk across the street and you are there. The hotel itself was very clean, had good beds, coffee/tea in the room, and a nice shower.

The stairs are steep and very narrow going up - fine if you are young but would be extremely difficult for anyone older. There are MANY people walking by on the sidewalk outside the hotel - so a little chaotic. In the morning the seagulls were extremely loud sifting through the garbage on the sidewalk.

The hotel was 5 mins walk from centraal station.Rooms were big enough and the bathrooms were also big.The hotel even let us store luggage before and after checkout, and some staffs were 10/10 friendly while other staffs are maybe 5/10.Overall a great stay.The hotel has been running for 3 family generations, and overall its a very good hotel to stay.

The stairs, but its not the hotels fault as it was stated in the booking.The hotel maybe could start asking for age at least, so that they can provide downstairs room for the elderly, as i was travelling with 4 family members over the age of 60.

The family run hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the central station. I stayed in a "superior" room which has been recently renovated. The quality of the facilities is definitely above what you typically will find in that area of Amsterdam for 2/3 star hotel. Together with the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere this all resulted in a very pleasant stay.

They are in the process of installing an elevator, which would make the hotel better accessible for some guest. Currently one as to climb quite some stairs.

Excellent location ,near everything. Staff very friendly , room cleaned every day. Great view onto Main Street. I was able to move rooms.

A kettle in room would off been helpful. I was given a room at the back of hotel with a view of a wall. If I was only staying 1 maybe 2 nights I could of put up with this. But there's no way I could off done 5 nights. As it was I changed room with no problem to the front on arrival.

The staff were so nice and helpful, if you need anything just ask and they will do their best. The position is great - right in front of the station and near the main attractions. Even if it’s a 2-star hotel there are all the essentials you need. I would definitely recommend it for a short stay, especially if you’re planning on spending most of your day outside.

It is a bit noisy - you will definitely hear the people on your floor walking around at night, bring earplugs if you have them. Maybe the fee per night is a bit high but I guess Amsterdam is just more expensive in general.
