What a wonderful hotel, restaurant and bar. The rooms are great with comfy beds and bedding. The staff and their service are all so terrific!!! The food is fabulous, and the bar is a fun place to hang out after dinner. The owner, Mike Darby is always present and such a great person. Tim is a wonderful gentleman who makes you feel comfortable and provides you with fun jokes. Tammy, Amanda & Kristal are the best servers we've ever had.

Really, there is nothing bad at all with the Irma! If I had the funds, I'd supply the 39 rooms with larger tv's. That it. This hotel is a MUST to stay, eat and drink while visiting Cody, Wyoming!

The room was fantastic, so historic. We had the Buffalo Bill Room, best in the hotel. Yes, it was expensive but wanted the full experience. You could just feel the history of the place. The bed was comfortable, and the couch was new and super comfortable. The ceiling was like 20 ft high. I can imagine being here in the early 1900s. Did not see any ghosts but kept an eye out. If you want the full experience, and have the money, make it a point to stay. Breakfast buffet 13$ or so, but they have everything you want. If you cannot do stairs, stay somewhere else, there are a lot of them. Old photos and paintings were amazing. You may think a hotel this old would be run down, but it is not. Very clean and well maintained.

Parking was difficult at first, tourists take up the lot, had to park on the street and move it to the lot when a space opened up.

The room size was fantastic, the location and the historical value were what sold us. I loved the historical bathroom it was neat for our kids to see and experience. The entire hotel is full of historical items, some for sale. They have a gift shop and other neat stores as well, you can spend quite some time walking around taking it all in. You will need good knees as there is a lot of stairs and they are very steep.

To get to our rooms and all the rooms on the very top floor was an absolute nightmare. So many customers were lost with us. It took an officer to find all our rooms. There are not a lot of plugs to charge cells, etc. No real view, there is no microwaves in the room as it must be historical. This means you will hear all the noises of the hotel and restaurant below.

Treat yourself in Cody with a stay in this historic hotel. Familiarize yourself with its history and you will enjoy it even more. Our room was very large (and not a special suite). Excellent location. Very comfortable and our room was spotless. Great restaurant and bar on site, too. Their staff was extremely helpful with a special gift shop request.

They do not have a guest elevator, only stairs for the upper floor rooms.

The hotel took us back in time to the Wild West. The woodwork was beautiful as were all the art throughout. The dining room with the bar and pressed metal ceilings seemed to be the place to be for meals. We only ate elsewhere once and they were always busy. We stayed in the Max Wilde room which was very comfortable and roomy. Definitely a good location in the midst of downtown.

Amazing experience staying in Buffalo Bills actual suite. Beautiful period decoration and spacious apartment. Very large and comfortable bed. The whole hotel is a treat. It made for a fantastic break.

Apart from a lad broadcasting some sort of ghost hunting blog from the corridor outside our room! We enjoyed the restaurant on each of our 3 nights. Lovely experience apart from third night unfortunately my food was on the luke-warm side. This was partially rectified but not fully. Only a small concern in an amazing visit.

The history of the building and area were interesting. The show and rodeo trip were a fun option. We were only there one night or we would have done more. The location allowed us to explore the town and park.

We were hauling a trailer and needed a place to park it. Parking for hotel was limited but hotel staff pointed out nearby public parking which helped.

The Irma sits right in the middle of the little town of Cody. Walking is ideal to the shops and restaurants. The history of The Irma adds to the fun of being there. It's the authenticity of the hotel, restaurant, and bar that makes it unsurpassable. The food is top-notch and the prices cannot be beat. They offer the Best Prime Rib in all of Cody.

There is nothing not to like! The Irma is the true Gem of Cody, Wyoming!

We stayed for 3 nights in Cody on our way from Denver to Deadwood South Dakota. There was a number of things we wanted to see. The hotel dining area had loads of character but smelled a bit musty. Lots of stuffed animals so could be that .Food was ok and the staff were lovely. Bedroom was clean and comfortable with a good shower.

I really enjoyed my stay, travelling alone on a road trip to fill a gap in schedules. Great fun place, my room was in the newish area but was still characterful, quiet and quite luxurious.. Dinner was interesting, quite an impressive dining room and a real experience. Breakfast ditto. Restaurant staff friendly and cheerful.. thanks they made me smile.. The gunfight was more for kids but was a bit of fun, all good and the bar after was quite wild.. good live music.. I recommend this hotel.. Parking easy, all the hotel staff were lovely and good fun, I really thought I had met Buffalo Bill in person when I came down for breakfast..
