The personal was extremely kind and helpful! Welcome champagne and fresh fruits at tye reception. The room was big, very clean and very comfy..we slept quite good. The hotel is at the edge from the old town entrance which was better than right in its middle due to lots of restaurants and visitors. Breakfast was really good..everything someone could wish for. For us was very important to have a safe parking lot and this hotel has one behind, closed in the night time.We also left with a nice little.present from them..quite nice and attentive!

There is 1 thing that was not right for us..but it may be personal...the toilet space was confined..my hubby is above 2m and the toilet sit was quite tiny and the room almost too small for his long legs.. Also, few spots on the wall caught our attention.

Very good localization, just couple minutes walk from old town and Nivy bus station. Personel is very kind and helpful. Breakfasts are good, there are some local cheeses, meat, desserts and hot meals every day. Internet in the room is fast and reliable.

Rooms are definitely not sound proof. While the nearby street is rather quiet, you can hear whenever your neighbours are using the bathroom and water is flowing. Despite claiming there is cable tv with international channels, in reality its just few channels mostly in slovak on german. English speaking channels were randomly swapped to others and were news related only.

We were greeted by a smartly dressed and very friendly man who offered the 4 of us a bottle of local wine to taste whilst completing registration which gave an immediate good impression - that's not just based on the wine !! Room was clean and comfortable with a view over the main road outside. The staff at breakfast service were equally polite and helpful and the options available for breakfast were excellent. The location was about a 10mins walk from the old town which was fine for us.

The only thing that caused us any issues was the lift. we were on the 5th floor and as it was extra hot during our stay we didnt fancy using the stairs after being out walking for hours. The lift took ages to arrive at the ground floor and a couple of times we gave up and did walk up the stairs. It was also incredibly slow in use although this wasnt a problem.

Short notice booking, was able to easily upgrade room to jacuzzi room. Room very spacious. Mini bar a bonus.. Tasty food, Welcoming staff.. loved that can leave luggage in luggage room as saved me having it on me all day.

Although have pamphlet on how things work in apartment maybe to be shown visually could help visitors staying.. if a small wardrobe ironing board and iron be available in each room would make things easier on house keeping and staff at reception although I requested one and was brought to room. Room service had to use own mobile to ring reception to request as couldn't locate telephone in room plus used booking.com messages to communicate to be honest feedback food amazing and we did order quite late and food was cold due to not being given cutlery. Hence bit late check out.

Stayed for a brief period in the individual rooms. Rooms are spacious enough and the bathroom is decent size and clean. Hotel is near the center and really near the Bratislava Bus Station, so its perfect for those who are travelling multiple countries. The breakfast is also really decent, with different cheese, meat (sausages, bacon), eggs in all shapes, vegetables, fruits, juice, coffee and tea. There is different kinds of bread and pastry as well. Almost all staff spoke english (including cleaning) and all of them were really friendly. I went in the winters ending and there were enough blankets and sheets to spend the night. It well equiped for solo travelers, There is a hairdriyer, locker, coffee machine. I had a little trouble using the shower to get hot water at first, but once I got the gist, things flow nicely.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming, we were given a free glass of prosecco upon arriving and the gingerbread heart biscuits on the bed were a lovely little addition. The room was huge and had everything you could need. The cleaning staff were friendly and did a great job tidying the rooms. The room was warm, quiet and the bed very comfy. The hotel is located close to the city centre and is also a short walk from the beautiful blue church. Breakfast was included in our booking and was excellent, with a good range of options available and open until 10am. The hotel also sells magnet souvenirs. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Bratislava.

The curtains are a bit confusing and don't always block all of the light if not positioned correctly

Good value, good location. Very friendly staff. Because the hotel is so close to downtown, there are lots of breakfast options. Every time, we choose the hotel breakfast. Some reasons: a wide-spread assembly of meats, egg dishes, and especially cheese. Lots of vegetarian options. Nice yoghurt-porridge bar. Fresh-baked goods. Excellent coffee. Staff speak excellent Sloviakian, Czech, English and German. I suspect they can handle Italian and Russian quite well, from what I've overheard. It feels like a family business ... which means that all the staff genuinely enjoy working there and providing good customer service. For me the only indicator of a quality hotel is whether their staff want to work there ... Danubia Gate Hotel meets and exceeds that standard. Heck, I want to work there!

Narrow spots in our suite. It forced us to press up against each other when moving around. Wait ... I shouldn't say I didn't like that.

Our room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed, our ensuite was great with a large walk-in shower, fresh towels every day and our room kept immaculate by the most amazing housekeeping staff. Our balcony had a view of Bratislava castle, so lovely all lit up at night. Breakfast was so good, an amazing choice of tasty food and lovely staff on hand to serve you. The reception staff were also amazing, they went out there way to help you, nothing was any bother, it was always good(dobry) to have a chat with them and they recommended really good places to eat. We will return to Bratislava and we will definitely be staying at the Danubia gate 😀

Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like.

The localisation of hotel is excellent. Building is settled in centre of city and well-coordinated with major districts in Bratislava like Old Town, Nové Mesto or Petržalka. Moreover, breakfast were delicious and full of variety of choice with available products to eat. Every person from hotel staff, I met, was kind and helpful with any problem or difficulty. Room, in which I was accommodated, was cosy, comfortable and cleaned by staff everyday.

Too less choice in variety of beverage. Despite this, everything was alright. For me.

The room seemed a little old, but that did not correlate with bad experiences or anything! It was clean, everything I needed was there, and I had plenty of space to store my stuff. I slept well. The location is perfect, I could walk to the old town and all places I wanted, and it was a perfect starting spot for a morning run. If I did want to take public transport, the bus station was just a 2 min walk. Lastly, the reception staff was very friendly.

I asked for a breakfast package for the last morning, which was there, but compared to the actual breakfast I had the other days, it was not as great...
