The Dude & Round up is conveniently located about 5-10 minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone Park. The rooms are cosy & clean & car parking is available. It was very quiet. The Dude & Round up is also very convenient to the main street, shops. There is a supermarket 2 minutes walk. The motel nightly rate was one of the cheapest in West Yellowstone during their peak summer season.

For some people, there was no microwave or coffee pot in the room. We weren't bothered as the cost of the room & great central location was more important, than a little things like a microwave. Ice was available from.the front desk.

Excellent location: the city center is on walking distance, there're several breakfast joints nearby, there's a bar across the street, and the entrance for Yellowstone park is around the corner. We had a big family room with 4 double beds for 2 parents and 3 children.

The key is a physical key (so not a key card). That always stresses me out. Some parts of the room are a bit worn out. The place could do with an inviting central lobby where one can hang out with a book and a drink while other family members have gone to bed.

I had pretty low expectations. The ratings online made it seem like it would be a little outdated. I was just hoping for clean sheets and plumbing. The staff was very helpful and friendly when I called each time (3 times to be exact). They were very accommodating as well, when we ended up arriving much later than expected, and after normal hours. The cleaning crew was friendly. The room was a lot nicer than I expected. It was updated fairly recently, and everything felt clean. We also had a fridge and a microwave that helped a lot. I would definitely stay again.

The only downside was that the walls were thin. We could hear the people above us moving around, and hear the toilet flushing. The adjacent rooms showers were really loud, but it never lasted long. So it wasn’t a big deal.

Great location to the west entrance of Yellowstone Park. Literally 5 minutes away, depending on traffic. Seems to be reasonably maintained. I've been in plenty of older facilities that weren't nearly as well maintained. Plenty of people out first thing in the morning cleaning and tidying up the facility and grounds. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere. But for a decent place on a budget, you could certainly do worse. I would come back here again.

Nothing much to complain about. You may find the price a bit high, but well within the local market rates. I am spending my time in the park, not so much in the room.

We booked as a last minute reservation and the facilities are old and only had a smoking room. They were clean and the staff took care of a noise issue reported by someone else while we were there. Compared to the other rooms in the areas it was a good rate but definitely more than it was worth for our travels across the US and Back. Close to Park so worth the extra i guess. Gave good recommendations for food.

Smoking room. Smell was with us for next couple days. Older establishment but clean. To be fair most in the area are older also.

I didn't know there were TWO properties. Lol but the hotel front desk gal was so friendly and helpful. At first, there was only us and a few people checking in, but after a few hours, busloads of tourists showed up. It was still pretty quiet though. The bed wasn't as comfortable, but it didn't matter because we knocked out from being so tired. Overall, good stay for the price and it's a cute little town.

Location ideal—we wanted someplace close to Yellowstone, and this worked fine. Good access to downtown businesses, too. Wi-fi worked with no trouble. No problems with temperature control. Shower controls a little tricky, but we figured them out. Manager at the front desk was friendly and informative.

A bit of trouble figuring out the shower controls, which weren't especially intuitive. A notice by the sink or the tub explaining how it works might be helpful. But once we'd puzzled them out, it worked fine.

We stayed in a room with 3 queen beds that worked well for our family of 5. It is an older motel but in good upkeep. It was very clean. We especially liked that the bathroom and shower were separate from the vanity. It allowed us to all get ready without problems. We had a refrigerator and a microwave which really helped. It is just a block away from downtown restaurants and shops. There is even a grocery store close by. The lady who checked us in was very accommodating and really fun. It is very close to the west entrance of Yellowstone which was the purpose of our trip.

It is an older motel but it was a good experience. You just need to realize it’s not fancy but clean and comfortable.

Great location, quiet, easily accesible to the Park, short walk to shops, restaurants. Comfy bed and everything was clean. Glad it was available at short notice. Historic vibe; quite some character.

It had quite a strong smell of cleaning products, but it was fine- we just opened the windows for 20 mins or so. Basic facilities (no microwave or kettle), but that was also fine; it's a budget motel.

The location was excellent. The staff gave us excellent suggestions for dining. The bathroom was a bit tight but adequate.

The signage was confusing. Evidently it was at one point two entities and now is one, but the signs suggest The Dude hotel and across the street is The Roundup hotel. GPS doesn’t use the new name either.
