The breakfast was very good - hash browns were fresh, croissants were crispy and scrambled eggs were nice. Location is excellent, a short walk from the airport and a short monorail ride from the NEC, ideal for someone flying in to the country to visit a convention, etc.

The NEC has metal detectors for people visiting conventions which demagnetise the room cards this hotel uses. It obviously happens all the time as the front desk staff are expecting it and can quickly reprogram the cards. But if you get back late at the same time as other people you have to queue up at the front desk before you can go to your room. I'd suggest trying an RFID blocking wallet, but I don't know if that works.

It was close to the airport terminal - the double room was relatively spacious - the beds were comfortable

The room was close enough to the lifts for our sleep to be disturbed by the noise of its use. The waste water from the shower did not drain efficiently during use, causing it to overflow the shallow tray rim and flood the bathroom floor. We had arrived at reception at 3am following a delayed flight to find it without staff and no way of summoning anyone. After 5 minutes someone appeared from a room behind the desk and seemed surprised to see us. We checked out around 9am having had little sleep to travel home and the desk staff barely glanced up from the screen to accept the room key - poor value at £144.00

Ideally located minutes walking distance from the terminal and not far from the station either. Room is well proportioned and laid out with an area to sit and work and a very comfortable bed in my opinion. Sleep quality was really good as I couldn’t hear noises from other rooms but that maybe because I was at the end of the corridor (4-18) Bathroom is nice and good pressure on the shower and lots of hot water so I can’t complain. Didn’t need to use the air cooling system but it was there if I needed it. I chose to stay here because I had a early morning flight. just beware if you’re booking this with the intention of getting breakfast at the hotel they don’t start serving until 6:30 am not the 4 am as stated. Taking all of that into account, I would certainly stay here again and I felt the price I paid for the room was fair

Excellently situated. Comfortable for my purposes. Excellent breakfast. Polite, kind staff. Would stay here again, despite the negative points noted below.

At 3 p.m. check-in time, the system was not updated, leaving myself and a substantial number of other guests waiting to check in. This was resolved quite quickly, but should never have occurred in the first place. I would point out that the staff member at check-in handled the situation well in the circumstances - she is to be commended. The water from the wash-basin in the bathroom did not flow out properly - it just needed a plunger! Not the first time this has happened to me here. I reported it when I left and hope it has been dealt with (room 103).

This was booked for an overnight stay because our flight was due to land just before midnight, well after any trains running us home. The staff were really helpful, especially since our booking had been inexplicably 'cancelled' even though we had received a 'confirmed' booking through Booking.com. The hotel was fully booked, it seems, but the staff found us a room on the 5th floor, and sorted out a problem we had using their card key, all with a good grace. It was surprisingly - almost eerily - quiet, given our room overlooked the airport. Breakfast the next day was well-presented and delicious. But next time we need a hotel, I shall contact them direct to book it, and not rely on Booking.com!

The initial 'cancellation' was a horrible shock given we had been travelling much of the day, but the staff were wonderful in sorting out a room for us.

Clean and convenient right by Birmingham airport. Good shower and comfortable bed.

I know airport hotels inflate prices due to the convenience of being by the airport, but it just seems a shame they can't make it a little more affordable. Makes me more excited to get to my destination and get out of the UK though- went to Greece where 4 nights in a beautiful little apartment cost the same as one night here! Also the staff were not very welcoming/helpful, just handed over the key and didn't say where the lift was/what floor I was on-which was OK for me but for less experienced travellers it might have been confusing. Would also be nice if staff wished you a good stay or something too!

Super convinient location. It was a 10 minute walk from the rental car drop off site which was ideal. The rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom facilities were clean and everything was in working order. Even though the door was a key card there was an inside manual lock that you could put across too

Check in at 3pm which I find quite late after a day of travel. I was told I could check in earlier and then told I couldn’t and then told I could again by different members which was frustrating, especially after a day travelling. But checkout was easy and the key cards were fine to use. Pretty expensive for one night but you’re paying for the convenience.

Breakfast was very good with hot items like sausage, scrambled eggs, and cold items like fruit chunks, yogurt and croissants. Our room with twin beds was very small, but the space was well-used. The food from the busy restaurant was quite good. We had the Soup of the Day, a small mixed salad, and the chicken Ceasar salad. All were fine. Our server was friendly and worked fast.

The breakfast area had a machine to push a button for 10 different types of coffee, such as cappucino. I don't like the coffee from those machines.

The hotel is right next to the airport, which makes it really good not only for early flights but also for visiting the nearby NEC and connecting to Birmingham in about 15 minutes by train. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is decent. No noise whatsoever, you don't hear any planes or even the monorail in front of the hotel. Price/quality ratio was okay - but nothing too amazing.

The keycards are simply bad. Almost everyday they would "stop working" and we had to ask the reception staff to reprogram them. They claimed it was due to visiting the NEC (and passing through the metal detectors) but we clearly confirmed wasn't the case. Apparently, if you don't book breakfast with the original booking, they cannot update the lists if you purchase it afterwards - we had to explain every single morning that we did purchase breakfast and they had to confirm it with the reception staff. Why not just update the list?

Perfect for preflight and post flight stop overs. The mattress was so good it made me realise I need a new one, my back felt brand new in the morning. It's a nice clean, small room, no fuss. Shower with shower gel and shampoo included. It just makes travel so easy. Breakfast is a buffet style, continental pastries, fruit, cereal, jams, cheese, ham, Full English, toast etc. You can help yourself. Staff really helpful and polite and very empathetic to a very very tired lady whose flight was delayed and was barely functioning on check-in
