Sacrum college has a wonderful atmosphere. Set in the grounds of the Cathedral, it is a step back in time. I loved the relaxed, calm feel of the place. The staff were wonderful. The bedroom had a new sink and the bed was comfortable. There was free WiFi and I had good signal. At breakfast there were plenty of options between full English, cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, toast, porridge and yoghurt. You could make your own tea and relax and sit anywhere. It is an ideal place to rest, relax and reflect. Beautiful parks, river walk and vibrant cafes. Historical buildings and a great tourist information. Salisbury cathedral is a gem. Don't just stay here to visit Stonehenge! Although that is easy from the bus stop outside Mountain warehouse!

Maybe there being a recess for the toilet and shower rather than a door, seemed odd at first but I soon got used to it!

We enjoyed the unique experience of staying in a working college and being able to wander around its corridors and discovering gems like its chapel and library. We felt privileged sharing such a historic building for a weekend. The view of the cathedral from our window was absolutely breathtaking. It was stunning seeing it in all types of light from our bed. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, definitely worth getting up for! It was a highlight for us! Sharing your first meal of the day in a common dining area with your fellow travellers and academics was special. The food is freshly prepared and served by hard-working staff. The reception staff were helpful. We received good communication regarding check-in and check-out. The accommodation is very central to the cathedral and is a lovely 15 minutes's walk to the centre and a 25 minutes's walk to the train station. There is a kettle, tea bags and milk provided in the rooms. Water was available in the hallway. Toiletries and towels were also provided.

Nothing, really. Our room was small, being in the attic. You'll need to be very careful of the eaves as it is really easy to bump your head in the dark! There is no air conditioning, and you notice this straight away while visiting on one of the hottest days of the year! But a small fan is provided. There is no ventilation (no opening window) in the bathroom. The carpet there looks dated. There is no TV. But this did not bother us. We found all this outweighed by the advantages of staying in such a unique place.

The environment of this accommodation with the Cathedral and medieval houses is beautiful and very calm. The accommodation, as a working college, is itself super special. The staff was extremely kind and the English breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Room was clean and we loved the traditional furniture. There is some lovely serenity in this place. We were very lucky, we could see the church and the cathedral tower from our window. Staying there was really a peaceful experience, like a relaxing time travel, leaving the actual world behind.

It is not something to improve, but natural consequence of construction while separating a corner of the room to a bathroom: bathroom pipes were very loud. We also found strange the carpeted floor in the bathroom, especially around the toilette. One more note: abstract pictures in our room had rather disturbing style instead of something nice, I think a traditional landscape print would have suited the room much better.

This is amazing accommodation right in the heart of the Salisbury opposite the cathedral and with the city centre just a few minutes walk away. The staff could not have been friendlier and more welcoming. My room was very comfortable and I enjoyed my time at Sarum College. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide range of items available. Being able to park there was a very welcome bonus. There may be no TVs in the rooms but the wi-fi is very good and you can watch TV on your tablet or laptop, if you want.

There was nothing not to like.

The breakfast was very good, with a decent range of food and drink available, both hot and cold. Breakfast was served in a very pleasant room. Our bedroom, on the 4th floor, was a very good size, with a view across the green to the cathedral. There was also a good-size en-suite bathroom. Parking was very easy and we were allowed to continue to park on the day of our departure, as we didn't finish in the cathedral until nearly 6pm.

The bedroom was very warm - maybe because of being on the top floor. We tried turning the radiators off, but the pipework running round the room keep it very warm. We were discouraged from opening the windows so as not to let the pigeons in.

A fantastic location directly opposite the Cathedral. It could not be better. the accommodation reminded me of being at Hall in university and is really very functional. It's great if you want somewhere to sleep/rest and have your breakfast. there is a good academic style library on site.

We had no issue with parking but the day we left the car park was full. This would be a real problem as there is no parking around the college. So arrive early! Don't expect designer furniture, soft cushions and waiters bringing you cocktails.

Everything! There was space to park when I arrived (although the car park did fill up later), my check-in was really pleasant. The room was a good size, maybe a little basic for some, but perfectly adequate for me. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, pillows and duvet were good quality. Shower had great water pressure, and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Location, looking out the front door, you can see the whole Cathedral. It's a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town. Breakfast was a hot and continental buffet, and really tasty. I really enjoyed my stay here!

Nothing, I'd definitely stay here again.

The location perfect for my event at Salisbury Cathedral. I felt perfectly safe at all times. The atmosphere and my initial rooms were amazing. Breakfast was spot on.

Due to inexperience of booking I messed up my room booking and had to book out and in again. Although my second room on the second night was perfectly clean and fit for purpose sadly the drunken behaviour I witnessed in the early morning was very off-putting. However the above excellent reception staff were amazing and I am forever thankful for turning my stay around. Many thanks and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Lovely old building in a beautiful quiet area. Room was comfortable, light and spotless - as was the bathroom. Very nice staff, relaxed atmosphere and great breakfast. It is a bit dorm-like as a college and that should be expected, but it was fairly priced and really pleasant - I would certainly stay again and have recommended to family and friends. Thanks Sarum!

Shower pressure was on weaker side, but to be expected in older building, and was hot and clean (both more important) with modern facilities and decor. Nitpicking here! Go easy on shampoo if you have longer hair and you'll be fine.

Lovely friendly and accommodating staff. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. The shower pressure is excellent. Really tasty cooked breakfast buffet with lots of options. The best thing about staying here is the calm atmosphere and being able to walk around the Cathedral grounds in the morning before it is open to the general public...the cloisters are quite special! If you're religious or just a bit curious you can go into the Cathedral for the morning and evening services and see the wonderful stained glass and architecture.
