Situated next to KLCC Suria mall, this hotel is in a perfect location for the twin towers, high end shopping, some very fancy bars. They provide an excellent breakfast with a huge variety of local and western options - the Roti station was a highlight! The staff were all great, especially the staff at the main door, very friendly and would go above and beyond in remembering names and when giving directions to places they would walk you out and ensure you started off in the best way possible. The pool is beautiful.

I have visited this hotel several times over the last 20 years and the location is excellent. The price is also pretty competitive especially for the Mandarin brand.

The property is starting to look tired and dated. The rooms/bathrooms have not changed in 20 years and given the scale of construction work in KL and all the new hotels…this needs attention. The staff at the pool restaurant were not particularly attentive…after waiting 15 minutes, I went and got my own menu. After another 10 minutes, I flagged down a waiter to take my order. After another 10 minutes, I noticed my drink sat on the bar…I waited a few minutes before going to get it myself. This is poor service. I would also like to note, that the quality and taste of the food was mediocre at best. The uniforms of the staff at the pool restaurant were grubby and the makeshift steps to the various seating areas were shabby.

My wife’s favourite thing about the hotel was the hair salon: Hair Culture. Her words: “Just to visit Jessica’ salon would be worth going to KL. She gave me a head massage that was as relaxing as a full body massage… Her technique and knowledge was really impressive; I am absolutely in love with my colour and new haircut”

We stayed at the suite and it felt a bit outdated. The breakfast was limited in options for intolerants

My stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided impeccable service, always polite, attentive, and ready to assist with any request. Their professionalism and warmth truly enhanced the experience. The highlight of my room was undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the Petronas Towers. Watching the city skyline light up at night from the comfort of my room was an unforgettable experience. The hotel’s facilities were outstanding clean, well maintained, and designed for both relaxation and convenience. Whether it was the pool, gym, or spa, everything was of the highest standard. Breakfast was a particular standout. The vast selection catered to every craving, with a range of local and international options, all prepared to perfection. Overall, the Mandarin Oriental KL exceeded expectations in every way. It’s the perfect choice for anyone seeking luxury, comfort, and world-class hospitality in the heart of the city. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was excellent ! The baby cot was clean and comfortable for my infant ! The room was clean , spacious and extremely comfortable. The hotel felt luxurious. The welcome tea and cold towel were refreshing. Literally a stone throw away from KLCC mall . Couldn’t have asked for a better location . So much convenience. We highly recommend this hotel to not just family but to anyone who plans to visit KL . The breakfast spread was Amazing! Especially their teh tarik !
