Loved the spa in the room - and a great view of the surrounding Macedon ranges.

As I was arriving on a public holiday the confirmation message said that reception would be closed from 12pm but check-in didn't start until 3pm so I tried to arrange for other options (eg: key safe) which was confirmed by reception team. However, I then didn't receive any more confirmation (Eg: key safe code) on the day of arrival so I had to contact the team multiple times again and it turned out reception was open and not following public holiday hours so this just created extra stress and work for me that wasn't needed.

Interesting location

The fact that at night it was difficult to find as the sign on the incoming side from Melbourne was not lit. We drove past it on two occasions . The other side was well lit. I did make this known to Cambell??? at the reception desk on Sunday morning. He came into our unit No26 when we complained of smoke in the room. The evening we arrived. The restaurant was not available so we had to drive back to the supermarket in Macedon to purchase some cold food. Thank goodness for the toaster. There was nothing open to enable us to get a hot meal Perhaps there could be a leaflet in the rooms to advise travellers what is open and what time these places close. Otherwise I would recommend the spa to friends. Barb Ady.

The view is gorgeous! It feels like such a retreat in the treetops. The spa overlooking the trees and mountain is so lovely and relaxing. we also loved the gas fire. The best part of it is being able to have our doggie with us!

Just a super small suggestion - we would suggest adding a microwave to the room. The nearby town is only 10 mins away by car, but seeing as you have to drive, it would be helpful to have a microwave to heat up food that may have been bought as take away. There is already and kettle and fridge, but a microwave would make it complete!

Some of the furniture looked a bit worn and past its use by date. I had two minor issues with the spa and could not locate the operating instructions for clarification. No water came from the jets when the pump was first turned on. (Switching off then on solved the problem.) The method for opening the plug to drain the spa was not obvious. When I wanted to call reception using the room phone to seek advice on the spa there was no phone number displayed on or near the phone When I asked about the bathrobes mentioned in the list of facilities on bookings.com I was informed that these were no longer offered, but following my enquiry robes and slippers were immediately delivered to the room.

Beautiful location with stunning morning views. Easy check in and out when we needed to arrive and leave outside of reception times. Very accommodating staff when we needed twin share (not advertised but happy to adjust the room for us). Clean and comfortable stay.

Some of the bathroom fittings (shower head) were a little dated, taking away a little of the luxury feel, but nothing problematic enough that would stop me staying again. Some instructions for the fire would have been handy but we figured it out, otherwise clear instructions for everything in the room.

The staff was friendly. I called because we can't find the area and the staff explained how to get to the place. I liked also the cosiness and cleanliness of the place. The room was big .

The exact location was not updated in google maps. When the gps says "you have arrived", you are actually still in the main road. You still need to drive about 100meters to see the signage of the hotel entrance. Also, you can't have the spa after 10pm as its about the noise . I just thought that people who booked on this hotel spa would prefer enjoying the spa even after 10pm rather than being concern with the noise the spa jet is having. It would have been the best experience if we were allowed to use the room spa use even until 12 midnight since the TV had very bad reception so nothing to do really at night.

We had a late checkin and early departure which worked perfectly with the key lock facility. We received a text with all the instructions which was great.

Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa! 🌟 This 4-star hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms come with a spa hot tub and offer breathtaking views of the mountains and pine forest. 🌲🏞️ The building might not look impressive at first, but once you step into the room, it's like entering paradise with the breathtaking view. It's amazing how the experience can change once you're inside. It's truly a hidden gem! The place is super clean and tidy, and they even have a natural bathroom, seating area, and mini bar. 🛀🍹 It's the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway! The only downside is that the restaurant is currently closed, but they've got you covered with a welcome note that lists nearby restaurants just 5-10 minutes away. 🍽️🚗 I hope they reopen the restaurant soon so you can enjoy the view while dining. When it comes to the day spa services, it's important to note that booking in advance is necessary to secure your spot. Also, while there isn't a microwave available, they do provide a hot kettle, toaster, iron, and a wardrobe with hangers. Plus, you'll find tea, snacks, and milk in the room, as well as some beer and other goodies in the mini bar. And here's the best part: you're allowed to bring your own food to enjoy in the room! So don't forget to bring your favorite treats, and definitely indulge in a hot red wine for a truly relaxing experience. It's great to know that the room also comes with a TV, although we didn't get a chance to try it out. And it's a bummer that the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Our booking was for a couple and i was a Deluxe Starlight Room in upstairs and great value for money! You can see the pictures i have attached to get a great idea!

Restaurant is closed No microwave in room

Comfortable and clean bedding, soft clean carpets, fireplace is wonderful. Small fridge and coffee area. Large spa bath under large open windows. Large bathroom and spacious shower, fluffy robes, wifi, tv, air-conditioning. Beautiful views with privacy, sliding door and a screen door, for those lovely nights. Shade blinds. Hubby and i stay here often. Staff are helpful. The indoor pool is lovely i really wish it was opened many more hours, night swimming is wonderful mindful and relaxing. This can be a beautifully romantic place to stay, enjoying the stars and has over the last 4 years become one of our favourites.

This visit. A little dusty, the grounds need a little work, restaurant still closed. Usually the diffuser is running smelling lovely and the fireplace is pre lit for us, not this time unfortunately. We had our room made up, unfortunately they didn't replace nearly enough towels, nor did the bed get a nice turn down. But staff were still on site and are always helpful. Looking forward to breakfast ect being available. I would love for the seating area to be a couch, much love.

I was surprised by this place which felt in the middle of nowhere yet proved to be the centre of the most beautiful places. The reception staff were amazing! very far and in-between to get this level of service, they accommodated to our special requests. I am extremely greatful. The room was spectacular and larger than most at a very affordable value, when we arrived they even had the fireplace going for us, so the room was so inviting and relaxing and to top it we had our own dressing gowns and slippers. I would absolutely stay here again should I need to travel up this far again.

Would have loved a balcony to just sit and watch the clouds go past the landscape with a hot cup of tea. If it had that I would come back and book a week or two. But being realistic it doesn't, must be a reason. We still enjoyed my stay and view from the open double doors.
