Very clean room, comfortable, good bed. Lots of towels. Good shower with enough water pressure, also has a moveable head so that you can wash your private bits, unlike too many hotels today. Nice English breakfast, but make sure you buy it at the time of booking the room, otherwise it's nearly double the price if you buy it on-site.

West facing room gets a bit warm in the summer heat. A fan is provided. The west side is facing away from the main road, so generally quieter. Weddings and parties at weekends can make it a noisy night. Bathroom door is self-closing, I would prefer if it wasn't, gets rather hot and steamy sauna in there when having a shower.

I was expecting a bog-standard motel experience, which, tbf, I would have been totally fine with. In fact, we got super friendly, helpful staff, a lovely - albeit rather modest - room, delicious Italian food from the hotel's neighbouring restaurant, plus a generous breakfast on the day we left. All in all, it felt like a proper little weekend break rather than just the place we needed to stay that weekend because it was convenient. I was there to do a local walk around Calderdale. I'll be back again next year, and I will look to book here once more.

Clean room and bathroom. Plenty of towels, mattress was comfortable. Plenty of pillows including extras. Good amenities. Free parking. A few really close shops for snack etc.

The pillows were a bit hard. I could hear the room next to me talking (at 3am) and whenever they went to the toilet, could hear the door and flush. Would have liked an extra lock on the door especially being on the ground floor right by the fire exit and where anybody can just walk down the corridor to your room. There is no key access to get through or anything, anybody can just wonder on down.

Perfect stay, as we had to stay with my dog picked this as dog friendly, small 15.00 charge. Staff so friendly and helpful especially reception, from showing me a door I can use if I has to take pooch out during night , to as we could not take her in main dining room - understandable for breakfast - we ate in bar area but had exactly the same experience as everyone else. Breakfast was amazing 10/10. Would def recommend for anyone with a dog .. can order from Italian next door to your room for 3.50 fee or their is a Vintage Inn pub across the road that is dog friendly book on line, recommend the Sunday roast.

Not all rooms have a bath. But the shower was ultra modern so it didn’t spoil our stay.

The welcome was really friendly in the hotel and the restaurant. The food in the evening was great and the breakfast was hot and very plentiful. Great service. The room was very clean, fresh, comfortable and quiet enabling a wonderful night’s sleep.

The only thing that marred my visit was the internet. This was better downstairs in the public areas, if not great, but not really workable in upstairs rooms. I had better connection from my own phone. However, when I fed this back to the staff they assured me this would be looked at again as they thought it had been resolved..

Very friendly staff, very comfy beds Exceptional breakfast Wide choice of pastries and cereals and fruit juice Great that had choice of eggs Nice touch having bible in rooms with the kids in

A wedding party had taken over bar when we arrived so couldn't have a quiet drink after 5 hr journey so never made use of bar. No evening meals were served so had to go out for food.. All that couldn't be helped I guess but when went to put things in drawer found teabags and a hair grip in there so drawers weren't checked.

The rooms were nice. Clean. Did the job. The lady on reception was very smiley which was nice.

I didnt find out till later on that the rooms would not be joining. So my husband and son stayed in the twin room. And I had to share a double bed with my daughter. At breakfast we were not offered a hot drink. I thought maybe it was separate. But I found out later hot drinks were part of the breakfast continental. Breakfast was not part of the room booking. We paid for breakfasts on check out.

Everywhere was clean and well decorated, the breakfasts were very nice, hot and served promptly

The bed in 232 was very hard and we both had little sleep both nights we were there, the toilet in the bathroom was much higher than any we have experienced, I am 5ft 5ins but my feet didn’t touch the ground when using it, if I had been any smaller I would have needed someone to lift me on and off, our friends who were in 231 opposite made the same comments about the height of the toilet.

A lovely hotel in Huddersfield. Our room was on the ground floor and near the reception areas however there was an event on that continued till quite late but once in our room we didn't hear any noise from the bar and lounge. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. Breakfast was very good with cooked and plentiful continental options available. Parking is excellent as there were a large number of spaces in the car park. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The Italian restaurant, da Sandros, next to the hotel, was outstanding. We would stay again.

The person staying in the room next to ours came back late and was clearly very upset as was slamming doors, shouting and throwing things around the room. We went to the desk and the member of staff on duty came and checked but by then things had calmed down. However we were reassured and slept well.

Nice size room, good shower and there was a bath. Plenty of plug sockets. Smart TV Comfy bed with decent pillows. Restaurant (separate business but also excellent)and parking onsite. Big towels! Had decaf coffee in room which is rare.

Bathroom - a non-slip mat for the shower would help, and a shelf or hook in the shower for a wash bag etc. Breakfast - bit limited choice - especially for cooked vegetarian options. Omelette was tasty but a bit greasy - could easily be rectified before serving. Tiny coffee cups and juice glasses. Little touches that would make it a 10/10 would definitely stay here again.
