I recently stayed at the Square Hotel in Belgium and had a fantastic experience—especially as a cyclist. The location is ideal, with easy access to great cycling routes right from the doorstep. Whether you’re into flat scenic rides or more challenging terrain, it’s all nearby. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. My room was quiet and well-kept, with a good bed for resting after long days in the saddle. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and they really understood the needs of cyclists. Breakfast was spot on—fresh, hearty, and perfect fuel before heading out for a ride. Overall, the Square Hotel made a great base for exploring the area on two wheels. Highly recommended for anyone planning a cycling trip in Belgium.

Lovely little hotel, central location in Kortrijk, easy walking distance to the city centre, nice buffet breakfast, very nice rooms, bathrooms and beds, aircon a blessing on hot days! Have stayed here and at Hotel Messeyne (just up the road, same owners) several times - happy to do so again anytime..

No small fridge or tea / coffee-making facilities in the room, which is a bit sad. I suppose I could always bring my own kettle next time. Only a few Hotel parking spaces exist, so you'll likely need to park at Houtmarkt public parking garage (less than 4 minutes walk away).

Good location, just on the edge of town. Our room was on 3rd floor with a comfortable bed. The room had A/C which was quite welcome as the weather was very warm.

There was no facility in the room to make a cup of coffee in the morning. The parking was an underground car park, it was quite expensive.

A recently renovated hotel, with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and very well organised staff, in a central location. Sometimes in developed countries staffing is an issue; here with competent staff, though few in number, service and breakfast in particular was very well managed. We loved the eggs to order! Kortrijk itself is a lovely town, worth visiting. Parking was not a problem, specially overnight.

Booking website should mention that some rooms have a bath - we would have chosen this.

It is our third stay here and we like the location and cleanliness of the hotel and also it is very good value for money

The housekeeper (not the cleaner who was very good) was very rude asking me why I wasn’t vacating the room at 11.00am when checkout is not until 12.00 noon. She banged on the door to ask me this when I had just told the cleaner.

Clean, friendly good location with beautiful garden. If you use the sauna/hammam make sure to wear a robe as the windows of the fitness area have a view on the garden. Parking wasn't entirly clear but as soon as it got explained to us there was enough parking space. We had a very pleasant visit! And the soap smells amazing.

I'd cover the windows in the fitness.

Everything was good: the room, the bathroom, the airco, having a drink at the bar.

Parking at the hotel was not available but very close a modern facility was a good alternative.

When we arrived the fire alarm went on (error in the system, no fire at all) bit as we had a baby with us, it was not a pleasant experience. The lady on the reception was not wel equipped regarding information about the city and could not even show where the hotel on the map is…

Everything looks great and seems to be new. Personell was very kind and breakfast was prepared perfectly. There are 3 hotel parkingspots. You can also park in the streets (paid) or the Houtmarkt underground garage (€15-20/day). Restaurants and shops are only a short walk away.

It was not easy to find stairs to go up or down. Breakfast is great but costs €18 / day.

We got upgrade, which was a nice surprise. Spacious studio type room, with bath tub , kitchen, dishes. Clarins cosmetics in bathroom.
