Everything in the hotel was great and in fact exceeded our expectations. Location of this hotel is superb for exploring the town, restaurants and going on tours. The central bus station is in a walking distance to get from/to the airport. We rented a car, parking can be a little challenging, but in the end you always find a parking space on the street. A welcome and farewell present is a really nice surprise. The hotel stuff is helpful and kind. We liked our stay here very much and we will definitely recommend it further.

I stayed here for a week in between some travel work. Needed a place to catch up on sleep, computer work, and to recharge my batteries. I booked it last minute but it worked out so well. Great family run spot- the kindest people. Fantastic location- close to town and less touristic restaurants but still in a quiet area. 15 minute walk from my preferred beach club. Felt very welcome and safe here as a solo female traveller and would absolutely stay again if I come back to Kos. Thank you!

The room was clean, with a comfortable bed, and a good sized bathroom. The breakfast was good and the garden where you could take it was beautiful. Perfect location. The staff was very helpful. There was a welcome drink and many useful free things (like a toothbrush and toothpaste).

On the ground floor rooms (the ones with a window only) there was a bit of noise during breakfast times. Also due to the lack of a balcony, there was no way to dry out bathing suits and towels.

The receptionists were incredibly welcoming and helpful, even accommodating our late arrival due to a ferry delay, and they also assisted with renting a car. The location is fantastic—right in the center, yet in a quieter area, making it easy to walk to restaurants, beaches, and more without the noise. Breakfast was just as advertised, with a good mix of sweet and savory options, including freshly cooked bacon, omelets, and sunny-side-up eggs—a perfect start to the day. The garden is a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast or relax in the afternoon, with plenty of shade to keep things cool. The hotel is spotless, not just in the rooms but throughout, including corridors. Our room was spacious with a large bed, and since we booked a family room for just two adults, the extra space was a bonus. The bathroom was also a good size with a powerful shower.

Nothing major. We booked the Family Suite with Balcony and Sea View, the room and furniture etc is a bit dated (but this is something we already saw when we were booking). I think some other rooms were already renovated so if you prefer something more modern, suggest picking another room.

The property was within 5 minutes walking distance to the harbour and 15 minutes to the beach. The hotel staff were such nice people, very friendly and accommodating to us. They’re a family-run business and will go out of their way to help you. They provided a place to store our luggage on the last day, booked a taxi, and even provided us with a washroom to freshen up before leaving for the airport. Thank you 🙏

The location was excellent, very close to downtown Kos. Hotel staff was very friendly and well informed. The room had everything I needed and it was in excellent condition. Definitely would stay there when I go back to Kos.

Nothing worth mentioning. My room was in the ground floor/street level and I can tell it is not for everyone. I just had an excellent quiet night of sleep but in busier nights, especially in the weekends, it may be a different story.

Our room was bright, properly equipped, in excellent condition and very clean. Although our room was not large, it felt fairly cheerful and spacious, possibly due to the high ceiling, the simple, light-coloured furniture, and the balcony. The bed was comfortable, the WiFi/Internet worked very well, and the bathroom and shower were fine. The room was equipped with a mini-refrigerator and an electric kettle. We were not troubled by any noise either from within the hotel or from the street. The location of Sonia Hotel within Kos Town is ideal -- in a quiet neighbourhood but barely two blocks from the harbor and commercial areas with their innumerable shops and restaurants. Checking-in and checking-out were easy. The receptionist provided numerous tips regarding restaurants, made phone calls to verify opening hours, and booked a taxi for our trip to the airport. Kos Town has a long waterfront, several parks, and many shops and restaurants. It boasts the largest harbour of the island and is near the important Asklepion archaeological site. However, Kos Town is a multi-faceted town, and it is not essentially a center for tourists. As Sonia Hotel is not a "resort hotel" but a classic city hotel, it is well-matched to Kos Town and a very satisfactory place to stay.

Very nice and new room with a balcony, very pleasant staff. we liked the good offer at breakfast. The rooms are spacious, good shower, air condition, functional and spacious balcony. A very good price considering what was received, an excellent ratio between investment and benefit. The hotel is in the center, everything is available to you, shops, restaurants and bicycle rental. The beaches are a few minutes walk away. They responded positively to all our requests. I would recommend to everyone!

Location was central but away from the hustle and bustle so quiet at night. Big breakfast spread on offer. Small garden to relax with a book. Close to restaurants and a handy little mini-market at the end of street. Room spacious with a decent sized balcony. 10 min walk from the ferry if travelling to any of the islands.

Location was great, breakfast was amazing the cook is fantastic, staff were very helpful and friendly, good water pressure in the shower, good air con, very clean place, nice seating area outside at the back for breakfast. Couldn't recommend enough. We would definitely come back, this place should be at least a 4 star hotel with the service the provide.
