We traveled to Mauritius this December for the first time with a 4.5month old baby and my 22 month old (two under two so was a daunting trip). I was hesitant about booking the Ravenala Attitude as it is not marketed as family orientated as the likes of club med etc, however, we booked anyway based on value for money and that the beach looked stunning with plenty of shade which is what we needed considering the two Littles. We stayed 9 nights on the all inclusive package. We organized our airport transfer through the hotel which was seamless and included two car seats for our children. After a long day of travelling we arrived at the hotel and were taken aback by the beauty of the hotel. So much natural foliage has been maintained and the architecture is a exquisite blend of modern & natural. We were met by an attentive hostess with a welcome drink and fresh towel which was so welcome. Check in was smooth and the rooms are lovely and spacious. We were a little disappointed as one of the camp cots was faulty and we did not have hot water in one of the rooms. This left me feeling disappointed after a long day of travelling as all I wanted was a hot shower and a safe space for my children to sleep. Unfortunately they were unable to replace the cot that night, however, upon expressing my disappointment with management of the hotel - they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure everything was sorted out (which was done promptly the next morning). Ismail and Videsh from customer relations personally sought after us at breakfast and requested to personally meet with us to Apologise. They were so attentive and understanding and really did go beyond to ensure our first impression was soon forgotten and that the rest of the stay was incredible- which is exactly what it was. The resort is stunning and has so many amenities but what I loved is that nothing was too far away but yet you never felt cramped. The beach is heaven. The food is outstanding.

We really loved the free activities available for teens and the mini club for younger kids, which offered a great variety of fun and engaging activities. It kept the whole family entertained and made our visit even more enjoyable. On top of that, Kelly, the restaurant manager, truly made our dining experience unforgettable. He went above and beyond to accommodate our younger, picky eaters and was incredibly helpful with food recommendations. What stood out the most was Kelly’s calmness and his huge smile, even during busy moments. He treated everyone with respect, including his team, and created such a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend as all our dining experience was top notch when restaurant manager Kelly was around 👌

our room was quite dated and could definitely use an update. It was located on the 3rd level at the very far end of the resort, and without a lift, accessing it was a strenuous effort, especially after a long day.

Very family orientated. The selection of restaurants and the fact that it never felt crowded, despite the fact that it was fully booked during our stay.

The bathroom in our suite was very outdated and could have been cleaner.

Property is beautiful. Live entertainment was great. Lots of little private spaces for a relaxed drink and a very fun bar for a more fun an eventful evening. Bar staff was very good and efficient. Overall the food was very good, especially the buffet. The room was spacious with a great view and housekeeping was efficient and friendly. We had a great stay and would easily recommend this hotel👍🏻

The O-beach restaurants food was a let down. We did get not free water in our room, we found this strange for such a nice hotel, we bought water everyday but only much later in the holiday we noticed that were water-fountains and you could fill up for free. We were not informed of this. I also thought the minibar shop could stock a bit more of a verity.

Everything was excellent from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out.

The bed was dreadful!! I was supposed to get a King bed. However, they simply put 2 single beds together, and there was a massive lump in the middle of the beds so i had to sleep on 1 side. Very disappointing 👎 The pillows weren't good either. They were just like air balloons. Considering how awesome the entire resort is, they really need to buy new beds and pillows!!

The Ravenala Attitude far exceeded my expectations in every way! I don't think I have ever been anywhere where every single staff member from the cleaners to the Gen Manager delivers such excellent customer service and has a ready smile. The hotel itself is so jungle-like and luscious - the grounds are incredibly well cared for and it is an absolute paradise. The pool itself is spread over 3 areas and there's plenty of space for sun loungers; you're not fighting over the best areas as they're all lovely, and there's no Hunger Games-style bed grabbing. The service around the pool is very efficient and the cocktail menu extensive. The beach area is great; there's volleyball, boules, and various water sports, and the beach bar is perfect to sit and watch the sun go down! The room was amazing, absolutely huge with perfect temperature aircon and a little fridge so that we could bring back water and drinks from the snack area to store. The bed was very comfy and the corridors quiet so we slept very well. The evening entertainment was great and all of the food quality is excellent in the hotel (we ate at all of the restaurants and I think our favourite was Madame Ming). TOP TIP: if you don't have children, opt for the later sittings of 8pm or so - we found at our only early sitting that all of the families were served first, even though we arrived second. The breakfast is varied and good quality - very soft pastries and freshly made omelettes. However, the best thing was the service - a shout out to the people below: Avishek - AMAZING customer service worthy of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel group, at both of the premium restaurants Anoushka - her infectious energy with the evening entertainment and the sports activities was so lovely to see Raju - the best barman, his Margaritas and Espresso Martinis were to die for YES (Yeshven) - LEGENDARY beach/pool waiter. Like his namesake, does not take no for an answer.

The beach towels didn't seem too clean sometimes (like perhaps there were some hard-wearing stains) The only addition that perhaps would have been nice would be a chest freezer with ice creams/lollies in the snack area :)

Hotel is beautiful. We went 'All Inclusive' which was available from the minute we arrived to when we left. Hotel has multiple restaurants and bars and a beach or pools. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful.

hotel is open air, so there is no aircon other than in your room, in the spa treatment rooms and the gym. There is no aircon in any of the bars or restaurants, and very few ceiling fans too. We went in March when temp and humidity were high - fans to create air movement would have made the temperature more bearable when eating and drinking

The hotel has a beautiful modern design, all the amenities you need and there is something for everyone. But what truly makes it feel special is the amazing staff. They are very friendly, provide excellent service and make you feel at home. Another thing we liked a lot was the sustainability concept with the little bulk shop, reusable water bottles and little details. The daily activities were also a lot of fun. We enjoyed all restaurants, especially Kot Nou and the Italian. Another highlight was lunch in the on site street food stall.

Sometimes the food was a bit cold. The beach area seemed a bit busy and too full with beach chairs. I recommend to book in the adult only section if you can, just for the comfort.

A warm welcome from all the staff at The Ravenala Attitude from the moment we arrived, they settled us in to our stay effortlessly. The eco concept was refreshing, enjoyed stocking up our mini fridge as and when required from a selection of items from the tukshop, thus minimising waste. A number of clean and spacious swimming pools that cater all ages. A well preserved beach with plenty of sun loungers, and sports and recreational activities available, many of which are at no additional costs. Paid excursions also available to book, including dolphin watching. A dedicated adults only section available too. Plenty of friendly staff on hand to enjoy beach games with. Special shoutouts to Kevin who kept us in shape with his daily energetic water aerobics class. Yesh for his impeccable and attentive service by the pool, ensuring we always had a drink in hand and the kids were well catered for. Yesh always had a smile and nothing was too much for him, a credit to Ravenala Attitude. The entire Kids Club family were amazing, they kept our children fully occupied with daily events and activities. It's location being in the centre of the resort is great as you can easily access the kids club from wherever you are. The Poz spa and wellness centre has been well designed and you'll find every type of treatment to complete your relaxing stay. The staff there are highly trained and very professional. Taba Gees food trucks offering authentic Mauritian food, which was fresh and delicious.

People leaving behind leftover food beside the pool near the sun loungers which then attract a flock of pigeons and crows. The bedroom could be bigger for a family of 5 and could do with some modernising. Coffee at breakfast could be upgraded. Found it difficult to locate any ice cream for children. If they could have an ice lolly station I'm sure they'd get a lot of happy faces from children and adults.
