We had a wonderful experience at Art'otel Zagreb. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and perfectly located, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Theo at the reception desk was professional, attentive, and genuinely hospitable—he made us feel immediately welcome and ensured our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

I booked this hotel a little blind, looking primarily at the location rather than the hotel itself, but I could not have been happier with the booking. We had to get in touch prior to arrival due to flight issues, which would result in a Check in After Midnight, but I received an email response very quickly confirming that it would be fine, and my booking would be noted with the late arrival. Upon arrival, we checked in fine, and received all the info we needed straight away, despite the late hour. The location of the hotel is PERFECT for a holiday in Zagreb, as it is walking distance of pretty much everything. The room was great; it was clean and had most everything we needed for our stay. As an added bonus, the rooftop bar was a great!

If I could pick anything, it'd just be that there wasn't much clothing storage for a week. As this was 2 of us on a mini-tour of Croatia, we had 2 Suitcases, and it meant partially living out of the case, but that wasn't a real issue.

I love this hotel - As a female solo traveler, I prefer to stay in places I feel safe. This hotel is amazing, the sauna/pool/gym situation is fantastic. The breakfast at the restaurant is fresh. The staff will go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Espresso machine and tea in the room is great - the blackout curtains on the room also really help if you're jetlagged and need some extra rest. Very convenient location - close to lots of bars, restaurants, and downtown area of Zagreb. I've stayed here 3 times now on my travels to Croatia. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! Also, it is a close 20-30 min ride to the airport from the hotel. Staff assist with arranging taxis so all in all very convenient and has everything you need for a restful, wonderful stay.

i love this hotel so this feels really minor, but the beds are a bit firmer that i am used to.

I didn't have breakfast at the hotel. I always eat out at a different place each time. The reception staff were very efficient, thoughtful and helpful. Exceptionally good and quiet location.

One evening I went to have an after dinner snack in the restaurant, which was rather appealing. However, after being sat down etc, when I was ready to order, over a period of 15min, not a single waiter or waitress came to take my order, despite my trying to catch their eyes. There were 3 or 4 coming and going, but mostly talking amongst themselves in a group less than 10m from me. No interest whatsoever in taking my order. Zip. Zero, Zilch interest.

This was such a bargain and I can’t recommend staying here enough. We arrived late but the reception staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel, a short walk from the station and minutes from the main square. The art is fantastic and helps lift the space. Our room was phenomenal. Super comfy bed, electric everything (including curtains) and spacious (think it was an art room?). Such great value! The bathroom deserves a special mention- the products are unbelievably good and look out for the flush (you’ll see what I mean). Little details like this made this a perfect stay. Only gutted we didn’t get to see the spa or rooftop terrace but we heard it was really good.

Excellent location, good size rooms, quiet, helpful reception staff if understandably a little jaded. The hotel is easy walking distance from everything you need. The spa is small but pleasant, and empty when I went. Breakfast is almost overly generous - lots of delicious looking cake which no-one seems to have an appetite for in the morning, and I hope doesn't get wasted. The hotel is very easy to get to from the airport via shuttle bus and tram.

The usual annoyances of this kind of hotel - overly complicated lighting, nowhere to hang wet towels, really heavy doors throughout. No fridge in the room so only powder milk for coffee - not even those little UHT packets. I was looking forward to trying the rooftop bar for a drink/supper and would usually enjoy a DJ in the background but the music was very much in the foreground so I went out instead.

The room was great, and "Butler Corner" for the minibar is so great, you can top up your room with whatever you like 24/7. Also i have to say the check in experience was exceptional. Jakob was so passionate about his job and genuinely loved welcoming guests. He is the one thing i remember most from my visit

The breakfast was terrible. €35 for a cold half of Belgian Waffle. It was supposed to come with maple syrup and cream, neither of which was supplied. A very limited cold buffet was also available but definitely not worth the price so I ate out every additional day at the hotel

this is my go to hotel in Zagreb. Don't bother looking anywhere else. It's fantastic. The food is EXCELLENT. the rooms are EXCELLENT. the spa and gym are great. Super close walking distance to all of Zagreb. staff is super responsive, rooms are comfortable and safe. I'm a female solo traveler and this is one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed at. I've been to over 40+ countries, mainly for work, and have had my fair share of bad stays. This hotel will exceed your expectations.

We recently stayed at art’otel Zagreb for an extended weekend and were very pleased with the overall experience. The hotel is housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, combining modern design with its architectural heritage. Its central location is ideal, with all of Zagreb’s major sights just a short walk away. Our room on the third floor was modern and thoughtfully designed. It featured a high-quality Illy coffee maker, which added a nice touch—although we must admit we struggled a bit to figure it out at first (entirely a user issue..). After a few attempts, we managed to brew a cup. The room also had air conditioning, but we appreciated that the windows could be opened as well. The windows were soundproof, so despite being in a central location, the room was pleasantly quiet. The lack of a minibar wasn’t an issue for us, as the service areas on each floor offered packaged food and drinks for purchase. The toiletries and bathrobe provided were of high quality, adding to the comfort of our stay. Breakfast was well-executed, with a diverse buffet complemented by a menu of freshly prepared egg dishes, juices, and smoothies. One of the highlights was the basement restaurant and bar, YEZI, which we highly recommend. Its Asian-inspired dishes, amazing pastry and creative cocktails offered a great dining experience. Though we didn’t use the spa or gym facilities, it’s worth mentioning that they are available for guests. Overall, art’otel Zagreb is a stylish, modern, and well-located hotel that offers comfort and convenience for travelers looking to explore the city.

While we found the service professional and efficient, it was a bit on the reserved side, which might feel less personal to some guests.

Lovely stay, excellent location, very silent rooms, excellent shower, great coffee, comfortable bedding and scrupulously clean. Reception area and common parts are very well designed and lobby was great with some good reads, sparkling wine, fruit and water.

A little suggestion: the LED strip lighting near the curtain in our room was very strong and when you are in bed shines right into your eyes. It could have easily been hidden behind the curtain pelmet to become an indirect light thus softer on the eyes and more moody. Breakfast should be more varied with some cooked options being included, not considered as extras, being at E30 per person I expected more than a continental breakfast.
