the room we had was nice and big great views from a very secluded balcony loved the dining room done out very quirky and the breakfast was good the hotel was very clean and quiet location very good for restuarants at least 10 within 100yards some looking down on harbour the 2 british owned bars port house and benbows only 5 minutes away when you enter the small courtyard you will be greeted by about a dozen well feed well looked after cats that will not bother you if you dont like cats then perhaps try elsewhere

hard place to find taxi drops you off 400yards from property with all the narrow streets and alleyways you can get lost as we did luckily a local lad went out of his way and walked us to the front door surprised there was no kettle in room had to go and buy one

The hospitality was first class. The owner is so charming - she is rightly proud of her very lovely and very individual property. It is brilliantly located, a five minute walk above the old port, close to shops and restaurants etc. we stayed in the two bed apartment, about 50 metres from the main hotel and it’s incredible - the balconies and views are absolutely breathtaking. Facilities are good too though a little tired in places, though that adds to the charm. Breakfast was fabulous.

Not the owner’s fault but the apartment is very noisy at nighttime in peak season - we actually felt like we were sleeping above a nightclub!

Very nice angle room with two large windows and a reface with a marvellous view over the old city and the sea. Very cosy breakfast room and reception hall, elegantly furnished. The hotel is located in one of the small narrow streets of the old town close to the old port. The breakfast is well served and complete with top quality ingredients. The owner is very kind and helpful.

Our room was only reachable through a very steep and narrow staircase, but the view from the windows and the terrace was worth it. The price is not cheap, but not even excessive considering the quality of the hotel and the breakfast.

The owner kindly accommodated us with an hours notice after our flight was delayed. Her and the other staff were so kind throughout our stay. The hotel is a beautiful old building with a little courtyard where they look after the cats. So there is a bit of an aged smell in the main lobby but nothing terrible and it was charmingly decorated. The room however was clean and equipped with aircon and a mini fridge. Really great for a short stay, would be a good deal if you wanted to stay overnight for the ferry. Breakfast was lovely continental, I wish we could have stayed and eaten more but unfortunately did not have time. There was toast, honey, nuts, little biscuits, coffee and orange juice and we were brought some lovely looking eggs. Overall a great deal for a short stay.

Probably just needs some minor updates with the shower (handheld) and mattresses - but the water pressure was great and the room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely little town and courtyard view.

We loved this place. Greeted by eight cats on a shaded plant filled terrace it was promising. It's not going to be for everyone but if you like a little old fashioned and a little quirky it's for you. It is like stepping back into a piece of Greek family history. Clearly a long term and well loved family home the place is crammed with paintings and artefacts collected over many years. The welcome was very warm and the breakfast the best we had eaten in three weeks of being in Greece. We will be back.

Nothing but if you want sleek & modern then this place is not for you.

Absolutely loved the location—just a short walk to the city center, with plenty of restaurants, cozy cafés, and the port right nearby. Breakfast was a delight every morning, with a wonderful variety and a fresh selection of pastries and treats that changed daily. A perfect stay!

There are few cats in front of the entrance which some times even though I like pets the smell was quite intense however I did not bother at all as everything else was perfect.

Fofi was delightful, the hotel was her family home for 200 years. We chatted with her in the sitting room with her and were offered a limoncello. She arranged a helpful taxi for us. It’s quiet inside but a few minutes walk from a busy harbour lined with restaurants. (You can only hear the noise in the distance if you leave a window open). It’s a lovely old traditional house and feels more like a friendly B&B.

I didn’t mind at all but you have to be okay with cats inside as well as out. And if you’re unsteady on your feet or have mobility problems the trip to the harbour could be tricky.

We had a few upgrade to family villa 3 floors with the view to sea , port and centre , best location with verandas and 2 terraces for evening outdoor relaxing living space amazing Greek experience ! The kids loved , adults too for Kate dinner with Greek wine and Greek uzo/metaxa and fruits ice creams cocktails ! Amazing family holiday ! The owner Fofi was amazing , lovely delusions Greek breakfast served in the main hotel of the property residence - lots of landings speaking , such a lovely cats as an owner Gard iin front of each villa . Late check out available, best comfort and atmosphere!

The washing machine ( laundry machine did not work as the door was broken ) but it was ok , it was not compulsory to do laundry as hot weather 🌦️ all the time helps to do hand laundry and drys quickly .

The hotel is very close to the many attractions, very close to the port and to many tavernas. The owner of the hotel - Fofi - is a very special lady, client oriented and very friendly and helpful. Our room had a nice balcony, we got a new mattres for one bed, but also the others were very comfortable. Room was very quiet and clean, breakfast was sooo delicios. We could even borrow sun umbrellas from the hotel, a very good idea!

The staff were very helpful and friendly The house had amazing views of the town and had a lovely authentic vibe. My teenage daughters loved the views It was easy and quick to walk to a nearby church and meet a pre- ordered taxi there, to get to the airport (uphill but short distance and not many stairs).

It was fine for us but just be aware that there are low barriers to the balconies so it might be a risk for young children or very drunk people.
