We were upgraded to Indochine Premium (a different cruise by same company), which was overall absolutely fantastic. Indochina staff is professional and very organized. Great meals also.

Even if it's technically 2 days 1 night, the cruise is in practice 24 hours from boarding to end. Still very much worth it, but activities are quite packed.

Fabulous service & superb food on a lovely old style boat. Boat was very well appointed ....lovely spacious room and huge bathroom ...stylish communal areas. Halong Bay is beautiful and worth a visit despite the long ish transfer from Hanoi. Trip to cave very good. Indochina sails were brilliant at assisting us with transfers and helping us get back to the airport in time for a flight ...service is wonderful.

Nothing really ... Per previous reviews its 24 hours not 2 days but as long as you know this in advance expectations are managed. And that we couldn't stay longer.

The views were amazing, and all the staff was incredibly friendly, offering us an amazing experience. There was a wide range of activities throughout the cruise to keep everyone occupied and happy throughout.

Nothing in particular. Just recommend clarifying in the info that WiFi connection is only in the lounge area and not in the rooms, even though this was not an issue in particular.

A fantastic trip. We enjoyed every minute of the journey. The cruise ship is elegant, classy and very Indochinese. Big bonus for not playing trashy loud music like the surround cruises. The group guest size is just big enough that we feel very special. Great thanks to Anh Quan for taking great care of us too. His timing for the island is amazing and we felt like we had the whole island to ourselves before day trip tours coming in. He really went beyond to make every second of the journey wonderful. Food was very good too and alcohol price was ok considering it’s a cruise. Love everything and definitely will recommend!

This is review is for Indochine Premium suite as we were given a free upgrade from our existing booking on Indochina Sails. This cruise was launched only earlier this year and claimed to be one of the largest in Halong. It lives up to it's name as every decoration in the cruise looks premium. The teams are friendly and programs are packed with sufficient time to lay back and relax.

The quality of meals are of huge difference. The 2 fine dining dinners and welcome buffet lunch were wonderful but day 2 lunch and departing brunch are below average.

We were informed by Indochina Sails the day before the start of the cruise that the boat we had initially booked (Indochina Sails) was no longer available to operate on our date. They offered to move us to another of their boats instead and upgrade us to a better room (suite), so we actually stayed on Indochina Sails PREMIUM and not Indochina Sails (which is a smaller and older boat). It turned out that we could not have hoped for a better surprise! The boat was brand new (we later found out that it had just started sailing a few weeks before) and everything on the boat, including the room, was absolutely perfect. We particularly loved the decoration. Out of all the places we stayed at in Vietnam (5 in total), this was by far the best experience in terms of accommodation, staff and food. All the staff was super nice, thoughtful and professional. We were very impressed with the quality of the food (and we come from France so our expectations are quite high ;)), both for the buffet and the dinner set menu. Lot of options at the lunch buffet and at breakfast, and everything we tried was very good. With respect to the cruise experience itself, we thought that it was very well organized. We did not try the kayaking or the Tai Chi, but all the other activities were very good and well planned. The cruise manager was very kind and helpful, he came with us and acted as a tour guide (in English) at the different excursions. Drinks expenses have to be paid on top but we thought they were reasonably priced (e.g. cocktails were actually cheaper than in some cocktails bar you can find in Hanoi). The cocktails were very good. Communication with Indochina Sails team was very smooth and efficient. They speak good English and are very responsive. The price of the cruise was also very good as we had booked early (more than 2 months ahead). We can only recommend Indochina Sails Premium and wish we had stayed one more night! Optional shuttle to and from Hanoi was a bit pricey (20 USD per way and per person), but very convenient!

The original boat we booked had an issue, so we got a free upgrade. We had 2 amazing days! The program, the room, the staff. All of it was great!

The dinner on board was inspired by western cuisine. It was a bit of a shame, because it was not bad, but it was a bit off. And that while the vietnamese cooking is awesome! I would recommend them to stick to what they are great at.

Beautiful boat and friendly staff, especially the boat manager. Activities were good, I would definitely recommend booking 2 nights, day two was the best!

Rooms are quite small, but still nice. The itinerary starts a bit too early, especially day 3, or day 2 if you only book 1 night. All is volontarily though

Everything was great and comfy.

In transporting from Hanoi to Halong bay, they squeezed in more people. I protested a bit and demanded a partial refund which they accepted.. Water on board should be free but it was not and anything other than the menu including water was exorbitantly high.

My friend and I are traveling through Vietnam, and our 3 days with Indochina have been a delicious and welcome break from the intensity of the cities. The sunsets were spectacular, the views wonderful; the staff took into consideration and remembered our dietary and travel preferences.
