Spacious family room so did not feel cramped. Large bathroom. Hot water in shower. Clean rooms. Friendly manager and helpful and efficient staff member working in hotel. Quiet accommodation in a side road so away from noise of main road. We were able to use the shower room by the pool to refresh after check out as we had a late night flight. Only stayed 1 night in Colombo before our flight. Did not use pool or have meals at the villa.

Mattress a bit softer compared to other places but still had a good sleep. The drain in the shower room by pool is outside of the shower cubicle so the bathroom floor gets wet. Take care when leaving the shower.

Nice place in the Cinnamon Gardens. Walking distance to the city center as well as the national museum and parks. Really good Indian restaurant just down the street. Nice parks around for running in the morning. The hotel delivered new water bottles and towels each morning for all 6 in our family which was great. Pool was clean and perfect for our kids to "steam off". Good breakfast and friendly staff who spoke fluent English. The room had 6 beds which was perfect for our family so we all could stay in the same room.

The small hotel gym in the garden was a bit so-so, but cred anyway to have the possibility. The treadmill worked, but that was more or less it.

A lovely hotel. We booked two rooms (family of 6), one room was a beautiful suite and then other was a nice spacious triple room The hotel is full of class, they have some board games and a Foosball table Good breakfast and very nice staff

My main issue with the hotel was that I wanted to go out late on Saturday night but they have a lockdown and this was not possible The price is a bit expensive, this was especially apparent when we asked to do laundry and even though they gave us a discount it came up expensive

Great place - it really is the whole villa so very spacious. There is a lovely private swimming pool with deck chairs. Yasith and Soma were there to meet us on arrival and came every morning to cook breakfast and clean. One night Yasith organized an amazing BBQ - a nice change from going out to restaurants. There are 2 separate beaches only a few minutes' walk from the villa.

The central living area (i.e. outside the 3 bedrooms) was not air conditioned so it was uncomfortable spending time there. However Yasith brought fans when we mentioned the problem and I understand they will be installing AC shortly.

We had posted a second review for Colombo Villa so we are not sure why it is no longer on Booking.com.. This is our home away from home in Colombo. Our second stay here was as wonderful as our first and we will definitely return on our next trip to Colombo. Our room was very spacious and super clean with an enormous, very comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. With a well appointed bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities, and very efficient internet, there is everything you need for your stay. Should you require anything else, the wonderful staff will help you out. They cannot do enough for you, and are always available to assist you with suggestions about their town, arrange transport, or suggest restaurants, as well as smaller things such as ensuring you have enough towels for the pool. Breakfast is generous and delicious, and they went out of their way to provide plant-based options for dietary requirements. We highly recommend a stay at Colombo Villa on your visit to Sri Lanka.

Our stay at Colombo VIlla was the perfect start to our time here in Sri Lanka. Despite our very late arrival from an international flight, we were warmly greeted at the front door and we slept so well in the super comfortable bed. The staff are very considerate and can't do enough to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. Breakfast is delicious and extensive, and they kindly catered for my plant based dietary needs. At the end of each hot day, the very clean pool was a treat to return to and refresh before dinner at a locally recommended restaurant. There is plenty of hot water and good shower pressure, very effective wi-fi connection in our room and they provided fantastic suggestions for getting to know the city. Most areas are walkable, if you don't mind the heat, or short tuktuk rides away. We are staying again on our departure from Sri lanka, and are very much looking forward to returning to Colombo Villa.

The villa is located in a perfect spot, close to several restaurants (fine dining and casual dining). The room was much bigger than we expected and the kids enjoyed the ample space available in the room. What made the villa special was the amenities available for kids (swimming pool, fussball, board games etc.) Its a very cute space overall at such a reasonable price. If we were to visit Colombo again, this place would definitely be my first pick. The staff was very warm and accommodating..Impressed with Sri Lankan hospitality!

Quiet location. Great pool. Lovely owner and staff who recommended local restaurants. Nice breakfast. Comfortable beds. Safe area to walk around. 5 mins to supermarket and 2 nice restaurants (Maharaja Palace) and cafe on 5th. ATM right next door. Took taxi from airport at 5pm and it took 40 minutes

The only thing is that it's a bit quiet at night. Although there are communal areas they are very close to bedrooms so we felt we had to be quiet.

This is an older style villa but it’s very clean and tidy. Great location easy to walk around to sites like the National Museum, quiet neighborhood. Delicious breakfasts.

Be prepared to organise most things yourself. The staff are very happy to guide you in the right direction but otherwise you’re on your own. Which is fine if you have been in Sri Lanka for a bit and know what to do.

Great value property and the host is very friendly and happy to help. The rooms are large and the property feels really safe and secluded. The small pool was great to cool off after a hot day. Breakfast was large, varied and delicious.

The property is older and had its quirks, but we loved it's character, the staff and the host.
