What a cool hostel! Tucked behind the cafe, the hostel has a massive community area, fully equipped kitchen, and outdoor area. The staff was friendly and the hostel was cleaned daily. The rooms were also not half bad. The location of the hostel, while it could be better, is good. It’s close enough to the center, red light district, and central station to reach within fifteen minutes by foot, but far enough away to be safe and quiet. Overall I would stay here again!

I would stay here again if I had the money! Not unique to this hostel are the insane prices for accommodations in Amsterdam. Aside from that, nothing much I didn’t like. Maybe add curtains to the beds and have under bed lockers.

Friendly staff, and very cool common area, with comfy sofas, nice little garden and big communal kitchen where guests can cook! This made all the difference for me, especially since it was a 4-night stay and I could have healthier food/save money via cooking in the kitchen! You can leave your food in a big communal fridge, and there is even a box with free ingredients that you or other guests can leave. Also sustainability seems to be big part of the way the hostel is run, if this is important to you. Nice location!

In my room for two of the nights there was a noise coming from the room, ventilation, radiator system or something similar. The furniture looked a bit worn off and/or dirty. It would also have been nice if there were lockers that you didn't have to pay for, but this wasn't much of a problem. The showers and toilets were perfectly ok and clean, but maybe there could be more of them.

Quite close to the city center and main attractions. The possibility of socialising with other people. We had umbrellas in our room quite useful for the rainy days. Fully equipped common kitchen.

The bad was very uncomfortable, the mattress was thin and placed directly above the frame consisting in some metal profiles spaced at around 30-40cm, it was horrible. There ware no power outlets close to the bad. In the bathroom there was no possibility to set the water temperature for the shower. There is no luggage room but they have some lockers for which you need to pay the small one was 6 euro for 6 hours.

Staff were brilliant. Sarah was incredibly helpful and friendly! She always had time for a chat whilst my friend got ready and gave us great recommendations about what to see and do in the city! One of the cleanest hostels I’ve ever stayed in. There were plenty of showers and toilets meaning there was never a queue for either. Showers were hot (but no temperature control) and had private changing cubicles included.

The location was about a 20 minute walk from the train station and to the east side of the city centre meaning the majority of attractions were quite a walk. The beds weren’t the comfiest and in my room there were only 4 lockers between 12 people

The location was great, and the staff was amazing! We had a few random questions, and they helped us with everything we needed. The café in the front is really cute, too, and the drinks and food was really good. The shared space of the hostel was really comfortable, and we enjoyed chilling there instead of alone in our room. Also, we had booked a room with canal view, and said view really was nice!

Unfortunately, the price for the luggage lockers is a bit high (7€ for 6 hours). Also, you could hear everyone in the hallway and sometimes even in the rooms next to ours, so earplugs really are a good idea.

The communal areas were a real treat, it was quiet, laid back and friendly. Even though I was sharing with 6 other females it was cool, no stress. Bathrooms were kept very clean, as were the other areas, I especially liked the kitchen facilities, there are 2 supermarkets 5 mins away so I had the option of cooking for myself, which was great. And the staff were excellent also x Highly recommend this place.

Honestly I'm trying to think of something I didn't like but can't! I wish I'd tried the bar, happy hour 5-8pm, but that's my bad...lol

Great location walking distance to everything and a little bit away from the noise. They do provide earplugs incase. View of canal was lovely. The staff were friendly and water is provided at reception for free. Great size room especially for being in a hostel. We were a couple in the double room with en suite. Would def stay again

Only thing being picky about was there were no bedside tables or even a lamp. Or any sockets next to the bed. Also curtains were broken but we still managed to get them closed over. But still would stay again

I like that the rooms are clean, staff are friendly and supportive, understanding and in my case went above and beyond to help me when i need help. They really did help me and i really appreciate the help. The staff even take time from whatever they do to help. There is no negativity here. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. And also espcially to the lady who helped me i want to say a massive thank you for everything and her help really did help me. Thank you so much to every member of staff there.

There is nothing that i did not like.

The communal areas such as the courtyard and lounge were nice and a good place to relax or socialise. The bathrooms were clean and we found it ideal having robes due to the communal showers.

But the music in the communal area was playing too loud at night so it made it difficult to get sleep. This may also be because the rooms weren’t very soundproof which is an area that could be fixed. All the staff were welcoming except one.

The entire place had a lovely comfortable vibe. I loved the rustic feel of the room, the shower especially. Everything was very minimalist but very high quality, and the staff were very kind to us. I've never stayed in such a hotel before.

I wish there was a bit more information before booking. I'd have loved to know just what is in our room before arrival (There is shampoo for the shower but no hand-soap for the sink or kettle in the room). I'd have loved to know about the shared kitchen area before-hand, I'd have used it more.
