Good location, close to museums, to tram stop, supermarket. Quiet street and quiet room, this is very important for me that we could have silent sleep. We had a room for 3 persons, rather big as for Amsterdam). Good breakfast in stylish lobby. The personal were very caring and set the separate table every morning for 6 persons as we were two families travelling together. During check in they reserved 100 eur deposit on my card, but after check out they returned it in two days, so everything was ok 👌🏻 .

The stairs are very steep, but for us it was ok, we even liked it as a special feature of Amsterdam) But for older people it could be a problem

Room was big enough to store 2 bags and get changed in. Room was clean enough, although we found hairs throughout the bed and stains but for us we weren’t bothered as it wasn’t that much. The bike hire at the hotel was perfect as well. There is breakfast available each morning but very expensive. We didn’t have the breakfast, instead we bought our own. The downstairs has a microwave and coffee machine which are communal use although you have to pay for the coffee which was only 2euro. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

The stairs are traditional Dutch stairs so they are very very narrow and steep. If you have mobility issues or planning to pack a 20kg suitcase, look elsewhere as you will be dreading the stairs. It didn’t really bother us as we had backpacks on. Curtain in the room was too small for the window so the room was lit up constantly.

1. Property is well kept . 2.We got a room on the third floor and to note the building does not have a lift ( most likely as other places in Amsterdam). 3. My father is 70 years old had to climb 3 floors in the first night of stay but upon request was given a basement room for the second night. 4. So people looking to stay here , post booking request the kind of floor you want to stay in. 5. Breakfast was good, already my old Indian parent had a good one on both the days . 6. Metro station is a good 15 min walk not sure about the trams. 7. Around the corner there is a grocery store to buy basic food items. 8. The hotel staff is very nice , greeted us very well on arrival and also changed the room on request and also kept our food in the refrigerator for the night. 9. Overall it's a good place to stay in.

We were welcomed by very friendly hosts and explained the rules of the hotel. The rest was as asual, as this wasn't my first time staying at Hotel Washington. It certainly won't be my last, either. This was the first time we discovered the area though, and we found an amazing sushi/ramen restaurant (named AMA) and some amazing Gelato (named Massimo Gelato) and a wonderful park! In the morning, we went to a wonderful bakery (named Simon Meijssen) for typically Dutch Easter-themed pastries. The host asked if we wanted to leave our luggage (for free) while we enjoyed Amsterdam for the rest of the day. The people here are unusually kind and that's what I appreciate the most about Hotel Washington.

Nothin exceptional. The carpet on the staircase might need some repairing, but we realize that's quite expensive, so is probably delayed until the carpet become dog ugly lol

The hotel it is in a good position, close to many attractions (Museums, boats cruise, restaurant ect). The staff is very kind and friendly, they will help you all the time with any queries. We also enjoyed the room and beds, cosy and comfortable (because we had a 4 years old child, we moved the 3 single beds together and nobady said anything 😁, p.s. We moved them back when we left). The heat is always on(i suppose) because it was so nice and warm. ❤️ We really enjoyed our stay on this hotel. P. S.

We liked everything. I know the hotel has 2 *, but maybe a little fridge în the room will be nice as you buy a juice or something and will be better from the fridge.

Nothing fancy, but extremely comfortable for a few nights’ stay. The shower’s water was hot, and the room heating worked exceptionally well — almost too well! Plus the location was quiet and close to the 397 bus stop, where you can take the round-trip airport bus.

I thought everything was fine! Do be mindful that the staircases are very narrow and steep, and there’s no elevator for the 4 floors. So if you come with a lot of bulky suitcases and/or people with mobility issues (including small kids), this might not be the best option for you.

Staff was very nice. Efficient housekeeping. Breakfast was sufficient, with decent range of options. Location was quiet with easy access to transportation. The room was very small but efficient for my purpose, with access to the breakfast lounge and back patio if extra space is desired.

The biggest problem was the sound: I could hear everything from the halls, rooms, other guests passing by. The facility was generally clean, but in need of some attention. For example, the bathroom shower has water damage on the ceiling, needs repair. There is a handheld shower only, and it was very difficult to keep it from spraying out of the shower.

The Hotel Is welcoming, not far from the centre that you can reach by foot and the museums area is just around the corner (Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum). The hotel itself is quite new, there is a nice area to have a very good breakfast, there is plenty of facilities and a tramway in the surroundings. Our room was nice, the furniture was quite new, we slept well and had everything we needed.

The bathroom did not have a window but the worse aspect was that the toilet was leaking. I think it was just a malfunction and by now it will be resolved.

Very friendly staff, renovated facilities, god location (near the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, diamond Museum, transport, etc), limited but good breakfast space and variety. It wasn't cheap, but its exceeded expectations.

In the rooms below you can hear the footsteps of guests on the room above, which is somewhat annoying at night. Unfortunately, sometimes there are people who don't know how to respect others and made noise in the early hours of the morning in their room.

I loved my room - quiet on the top floor with three narrow beds, but absolutely quiet and peaceful, great for sleeping, and with lots of space. The shower room was small but spotless and the shower excellent, including hot water. I loved that the heating worked as the weather was cold and rainy. I looked forward to returning to my room at the end of the working day. The location is absolutely brilliant for visiting the Museums and Galleries, great for transport, and there are nice places to eat nearby.

The common spaces are very worn and run down, and the carpet and paintwork in the room cold be updated. I would not recommend this hotel for those for whom stairs are a problem or who have lots of luggage, as they are steep and many, not problem for me though.
