This was our first time staying at Hotel Omega and we loved it, we'll book here again in the future! The location is about a 7 minute walk to the beautiful Vondelpark and a quick walk to the Van Gogh Museum too. It is easy to navigate to Amsterdam City Center from the hotel, the trams are closeby. The staff was kind and let us check our bags in when we arrived around 11:00 AM even though our check-in time wasn't until 2:00 PM. That was so helpful and gave us the chance to explore the neighborhood while we waited for our room to be ready. When it was check-in time, the staff handed us the key and all of our bags were already in the room. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful so if you like to get away from the noise of the city this place is perfect for you. Also, the pictures of the red bedding on Google are NOT what the beds look like now (this is good news). Those photos are outdated. The photos I included in this review are of the Standard Double Room that my partner and I stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. The staff left a handwritten note on the bed saying sorry about the renovations and they left earplugs for us which was sweet. The room & bathroom are cleaned every day. The housekeeping staff make the beds, leave you with fresh towels and new toiletries daily, as well as refill the water bottle in the room. There is a big window that you can open in case it gets too hot. Overall, we had a pleasant stay :)

There were some renovations going on, though to be fair we were warned in advance (they sent an email saying free cancellation up to 24 hours after booking in case renovation is an issue for you). The elevator would take a while, but patience is a virtue haha. Also, it looked like there was an AC unit in the room which is great because it was HOT in mid May when we stayed, but we never got around to asking how it works as there was no remote to turn it on in the room. I'm sure this can be resolved by asking the staff, but we never got around to it.

Hotel Omega is near the Museumplein where the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and the Moco Museum is located. It's a few short blocks from the Vondelpark which is a wonderful park to walk in. Also right across the street is Le 4 Stagioni a great Italian restaurant. A few blocks away are the restaurants as well. Easily accessible to the tram which is a few blocks away. Rooms are a nice size. The beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows. My room had a great view. There is also a nice courtyard where you can sit and relax and wind down from the day. They also serve breakfast. I received a really nice note welcoming me the Omega. Another nice feature that I took advantage was if you arrived early you could leave your luggage and go out and explore. This is a perfect hotel to serve as your base for all your adventures in Amsterdam.

Charming old building in a great location, close to the bus stop, coming from/going to the airport. Stylish decor, nice lobby, and a big and spacious room compared to other places I've stayed in Amsterdam. Coffee, tea and water in the room was convenient, plus a nice touch to have fruit-infused water and candy freely available in the lobby. We didn't try the breakfast or eat at the hotel, but the dining room looked nice.

The pillows were really uncomfortable - huge and solid. You need a keycard to get in the front door, and when we arrived at night, the doorbell of the hotel was not working, so we were stuck out in the street for a while as nobody was at the front desk or answering the phone. The same thing happened when we came back in the evening to collect our luggage to go to the airport - another guest who happened to be in the lobby had to let us in the door.

The hotel was perfectly located in a quiet residential street near to Vondelpark and the museum district. We woke up each morning to the birds singing. The room was not huge but it didn’t need to be. We were out all day sightseeing. Our room was on the 3rd Floor and it was very clean and had the added benefit of tea making facilities and a safe. The bed was very comfy which is always a concern for me when travelling. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided us with a good map of the city. We didn’t eat breakfast, preferring to grab something in the many cafes around the city.

Our room had everything that we could need and the hotel was very clean and in a very safe area.

The location of Hotel Omega is perfect. It is in a charming, quiet area of the city close to the museums and the lovely Vondelpark. The staff are also welcoming and helpful. There was a nice garden outside the patio door to my room.

My stay was in a single room, room 2. It is a very small room with a twin bed that had a soft mattress which I found a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast, which I paid for in advance, was not served until 8am, so both mornings of my stay I was unable to enjoy it. I did get some croissants and fruit to take with me the first day as I was leaving to meet a tour that started at 8. The second day I needed to be at the airport quite early. I found the amount I paid for the room to be quite high,, but perhaps it was due to the Easter holiday or the location.

A small but very nicely appointed hotel. Rooms a modest size but very comfortable and clean. A great location in a quiet area close to the art museums and tramline. Several good cafes nearby with a pizza place opposite. Breakfast is excellent and the breakfast room and garden are extremely welcoming. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would visit again.

The lift was overloaded and had to be reset. This was sorted out within an hour but using the stairs was quite scary for my 85 year old mother especially as one of the bannisters wobbled a bit! We reported this to the housekeeper so hopefully it will be improved. Neither of the rooms we booked had a bath which would have been nice.

The location is perfect, I love the district just behind Concertgebouw: the place is well-communicated with the city of Amsterdam, but also relatively peaceful and quiet. The rooms in the hotel are spacious (particularly compared to other similarly priced hotels in Amsterdam), clean and well-organized. I appreciate the design too! I couldn't try the breakfasts (they were not available during my stay due to the ongoing renovation works), but it was nice that I was provided with a handy coffee machine in the room, so I could have at least some warm drink in the morning.

As I was travelling for work, I would find it really useful to have at least a small writing desk or table, while there was absolutely no flat space where one could put their items or a computer. This is minor problem though.

We absolutely loved the Omega. The location was outstanding for our needs. We wanted somewhere quiet, away from the chaos of the city center, but within walking distance to everything. Hotel Omega gave us a stay in a beautiful, upscale neighborhood with so many coffee and pastry places, easy access to the Vondelpark for running, a cute farmers market in the square next door, and within five mins walk of Van Gogh, the MOCO, Ryksmuseum and trams. The hotel had a quiet luxury about it. It’s not flashy, but everything is high quality and the staff are wonderful. I can’t recommend highly enough for anyone over 35 visiting Amsterdam and not looking for a noisy city center hotel.

If you aren’t used to church bells at 7am, it takes a bit of getting used to!

The location was amazing, such a close walk to Museumplein, stones throw away from Vondelpark, and a very cute market right outside the door. The neighbourhood was super quiet and felt incredibly safe. The room was comfy and the included toiletries smelled very nice, and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

When we originally checked in, we were given a room smaller than what we had booked and paid for. This was frustrating as I had specifically paid more for the bigger room, and all the rooms were booked up for that night. However, the staff was very nice and dealt with the situation incredibly kindly, quickly, and the next day we were transferred to a bigger room. Overall the staff was great.

Everything was perfect! The hotel and room were beautiful, we even got a room upgrade and managed to check in a bit earlier than expected. Staff was very friendly and super helpful. The hotel and room decor was lovely, and we had a nice street view too. The bed was very comfortable. The room was always clean with new towels provided on a daily basis. Although the hotel is not right in the centre so some attractions will require a 30/40 minutes walk, the area is very nice and right next to vondelpark. The tram system is also easy to use, so getting to the centre was quite easy to do still.

Only comments we have would be to add a full-length mirror somewhere and possibly bin in the bedroom as opposed to just having one bin in the bathroom. Otherwise cannot fault this hotel in any other way.
