This was our first time staying at Hotel Omega and we loved it, we'll book here again in the future! The location is about a 7 minute walk to the beautiful Vondelpark and a quick walk to the Van Gogh Museum too. It is easy to navigate to Amsterdam City Center from the hotel, the trams are closeby. The staff was kind and let us check our bags in when we arrived around 11:00 AM even though our check-in time wasn't until 2:00 PM. That was so helpful and gave us the chance to explore the neighborhood while we waited for our room to be ready. When it was check-in time, the staff handed us the key and all of our bags were already in the room. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful so if you like to get away from the noise of the city this place is perfect for you. Also, the pictures of the red bedding on Google are NOT what the beds look like now (this is good news). Those photos are outdated. The photos I included in this review are of the Standard Double Room that my partner and I stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. The staff left a handwritten note on the bed saying sorry about the renovations and they left earplugs for us which was sweet. The room & bathroom are cleaned every day. The housekeeping staff make the beds, leave you with fresh towels and new toiletries daily, as well as refill the water bottle in the room. There is a big window that you can open in case it gets too hot. Overall, we had a pleasant stay :)

There were some renovations going on, though to be fair we were warned in advance (they sent an email saying free cancellation up to 24 hours after booking in case renovation is an issue for you). The elevator would take a while, but patience is a virtue haha. Also, it looked like there was an AC unit in the room which is great because it was HOT in mid May when we stayed, but we never got around to asking how it works as there was no remote to turn it on in the room. I'm sure this can be resolved by asking the staff, but we never got around to it.

A handwritten welcome card in the room, which felt very special for our first time there. The room was perfectly sized, bright, and included a spacious, clean bathroom that made our stay comfortable. Having a kettle, tea, and infusions available in the room made our evenings warm and pleasant. Even without a fridge, the room temperature allowed us to keep fruit fresh without any problem. The location was excellent: opposite Obrechtkerk (which we could visit) and just a short walk from Museumplein, where we found an Albert Heijn supermarket perfect for breakfast supplies or picnic snacks. The staff were attentive, helped us print tickets, and gave useful guidance whenever we needed it. Access was manageable: a few steps at the entrance, a lift to the floor, and then some more steps to the room, which did not hinder us. Overall atmosphere was welcoming, and we would definitely return.

No small fridge in the room, which could have been convenient. Additional stairs inside the building after the lift, which might be inconvenient for some guests.

Hotel Omega is near the Museumplein where the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and the Moco Museum is located. It's a few short blocks from the Vondelpark which is a wonderful park to walk in. Also right across the street is Le 4 Stagioni a great Italian restaurant. A few blocks away are the restaurants as well. Easily accessible to the tram which is a few blocks away. Rooms are a nice size. The beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows. My room had a great view. There is also a nice courtyard where you can sit and relax and wind down from the day. They also serve breakfast. I received a really nice note welcoming me the Omega. Another nice feature that I took advantage was if you arrived early you could leave your luggage and go out and explore. This is a perfect hotel to serve as your base for all your adventures in Amsterdam.

We had the deluxe double room, it was spacious and well furnished. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The coffee capsules were Illy, my favorite! The 24/7 reception people were all very gracious and very helpful. The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood, with restaurants and shops nearby, and a short walk to museums or tram. We took the tram often to get to and from enter city. Saturday morning there is a lovely neighborhood food market on the small square a few steps from the hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and we were absolutely delighted. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — always available to answer any questions. The hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. We also tried the breakfast at the hotel, which was delicious and very diverse. I believe everyone can find something they like, even those who are picky eaters. The room was clean and tidy, and it was important to us that it had a window that could be opened. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone, and we’ve already said that we will definitely come back.

The hotel is situated near the Museumplein area. The area is mainly residential, but with plenty of restaurants/cafes. The Rijksmuseum, Concertgebouw concert hall and the Van Gogh museum are a short walk away. As are the tram stops for going in and out of the centre. The bus stop for the airport is outside the Concertgebouw hall. Vondelpark, is also nearby. The hotel is located in a quiet street. It has a small garden for breakfast and relaxation. Our room was basic but quiet, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent value for money, with a good choice of warm or cold food. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

From arrival to departure, we were made to feel at home. The hotel is very well situated close to one of the airport shuttle bus stops and yet is in a leafy residential street. There are a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was comfortable, and as it didn't have air conditioning, we were given a fan to combat the heatwave conditions outside. The room was very clean, the shower was good, and the WiFi was consistent. Whilst outside the hotel's control, the heat caused the lift to fail, and the alternative stairs were quite steep. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, and the lounge staff were lovely, ensuring each day started on a happy note. In fact, all the hotel staff were very welcoming and attentive, which added to the pleasure of our short stay.

We just had the best stay at Omega Hotel! The staff were SO kind and welcoming, really lovely and genuinely helpful. I was with my son to celebrate finishing his exams, and he loved the trip :-) Breakfast was fantastic - fruit, pastries, cereal, sausages, eggs, bread, great coffee, selection of teas, ginger shots! Basically the works. The whole hotel was scrupulously clean. The shower was great - which let's face it, along with comfy beds is the most important thing! It's also a really nice - slightly fancy - neighbourhood, with interesting houses and architectural details. The bus from the airport stops five mins from the hotel, and it's less than 10 mins walk to the museums, so very convenient. I would absolutely come back here. Thank you so much Omega!

Really charming hotel!! The hotel is a bit far from the city center but we actually preferred it that way. Just minutes from Vondel Park and many great restaurants. Also in the cutest neighborhood. The hotel is really well decorated and breakfast is incredible! We wish we could have stayed longer. I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels in Amsterdam and can’t wait to come back to this one!

Only negative I can think of is having difficulty keeping the window open and closing blinds at the same time. We wish we could have had the window fully open while being able to fully close the blinds but couldn’t do so.

Staff were lovely! Comfortable bed, everything lovely and clean :) The area is quiet but so close to the city. I'm a very light sleeper, but was able to sleep with the windown open without being disturbed, which was wonderful. There's a lovely market right outside every Saturday. The breakfast was great!

It was a bit of a heatwave and the room faced the sun. I appreciate that it's difficult in historic buildings, but an aircon unit or a fan might have helped. But it wasn't bad - the room and the general area is quiet enough that we could leave the window open overnight.
