amazing view of the mountain from our room. very comfortable bed with lots of pillows and bedding. large room. I liked sleeping on the floor. best sleep I had all trip. we did even have a mini fridge. ac worked well next to the redline bus stop to get around town very easy to get to from Kawaguchiko station 25 min bus stop #15. but in a more quiet spot. bike rental across the street the bathroom was shared but it wasn’t busy so I pretty much had it to myself. the shower room was in the onsen which was nice but you had to plan your shower. they had shampoo and body wash dinner was amazing and very reasonable

The location was perfect. A beautiful view of Mt Fuji from my window and fortunately I was blessed with clear skys. It was a traditional Japanese Ryokan so obviously the room and facilities were not as a usual Western hotel but this was expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and had enough mattresses etc for a comfortable night's sleep. And a full Japanese breakfast was ready and waiting for me in the morning. It was very quiet during the night which was good too.

- location: convenient store closeby and easily reachable by bus (red line) - the view of Mt Fuji from the room - the room was very spacious - possibility for a nice walk close to the Lake in the early morning to enjoy the sunrise. It was peaceful

- not possible to have a shower in the morning - important to pick the time to use the bathtub/showers in the evening

view is stunning. right in Lake Kawaguchiko. our windows is exactly viewing Mt Fuji. very enjoyable walk around Lake Kawaguchiko for the week staying around.

the facility limit our return time by 10pm and we can't enjoy the night walk in the Momiji Kairoad... also there is no shower before 6qm as we were out for the sunrise and need a quick shower at around 4am....

• the location is awesome: front lake with views of Fuji from the room, secluded yet easily reachable from Kawaguchiko station and very well maintained. • the owners were really kind to us and our baby (who can be a little tornado at times). • the food: I do recommend to book dinner and breakfast, it was delicious! • the private onsen

this is the archetypal Japanese Ryokan. tatami mat rooms, leave your shoes at the door. shared bathrooms and an onsen that you reserve a time slot for. The simplicity of Komaya is incredibly charming and very relaxing. The view from the room is STUNNING. A cushion to sit on and some complimentary green tea is all you need as you contemplate the majesty of Fuji-San across the serene lake. Rejuvenating ourselves in the excellent onsen-style bath and then relaxing in our yukatas with a refreshing drink in our room as Fuji-San filled the window was one of our favorite experiences in Japan. Arigato gozaimasu Komaya Ryokan!

not a single thing to dislike.

Love the traditional Ryokan! Facility is very clean & staff is super nice! Love the scrumptious breakfast & the night time bath, set up by the staff. It’s also a big plus that the location is away from the hustle & bustle tourist area.

We had a delicious breakfast, so many dishes including salmon, miso soup, fried egg and ham, rice, green tea, and melon (2nd day). The view of Mount Fuji from the dining room was also fantastic.

No complaints about the food!

The place is in a quiet area, and we got to see Mt Fuji directly from our room. It was something extraordinary to wake up too. The staff did not speak very good English but they were extremely helpful and accommodating making it an unforgettable experience in the best way possible. The food was homemade and simply delicious. Would love to come back and stay here again. Amazing Ryokan.

Very friendly staff. I choose probably best roomview in the house on mt. Fuji. Price was affordable. If you just want ryokan room experiance I do recommend it. Room was too big for just 1 person. Very comfortable futon 8/10 would recommend.

Nothing on the ryokan or stuff, but I had a luck of the devil and 2 nights I stayed, it was cloudy/rainy so no mt. Fuji (got it for exactly 25s between the clouds).
