This hotel was an excellent choice. My room was stylish, spotless, and very comfortable. Even without air conditioning, it stayed pleasantly cool - thanks to the cleaning staff who thoughtfully left the fan running, making it a welcome retreat in the afternoon. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I especially appreciated the quiet ambiance, which made for a restful night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff were warm, professional, and always helpful. The location is also perfect, well-connected by public transport and within walking distance of many of Basel’s main attractions, restaurants, and cultural spots. I’d happily stay here again.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and felt right at home. The room was efficient and had everything we needed. The location was convenient to pick up the trolleys to get around town, and on check in guests receive a Basel Card that gives you free passage on all public transportation as well as 50% off most museums. Breakfast was a delightful spread of hot and cold selections, coffee, tea, juices and fresh fruit. The staff were the highlight! Had a helpful suggestion whenever it was needed, with a friendly smile.

The room was a bit tight to maneuver around. But for all the pluses it was manageable.

This is the second time that I stay at BLOOM Hotel. It's very conveniently located, the staff is very kind and attentive. I forgot my computer charger in the room when I left and they immediately contacted me the day after to confirm whether it was mine and arrange for a collection since I was nearby. The room was very clean an decent size. There was a desk I could work from and I also had a little balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Unfortunately, it's winter time and not pleasant to sit outside in this specific occasion :) In the morning I had breakfast and they propose a varied selection of savoury and sweet food.

The staff was beyond amazing, extremely understanding, friendly, and helpful. The room was spotless. The retractable electric blinds made the room pitch black at night, which was perfect for sleeping. Thoughtful touches like an espresso machine and water waiting in the room. The highest-quality towels I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Excellent location, public transportation is right nearby, and the city center is just a 15-minute walk away.

The sink could be a bit larger or have thicker edges to allow for more storage space (not much room in the bathroom for toiletries). I was fully aware of the bunk bed when booking, so it’s not a complaint, but something to keep in mind for those who might find climbing down tricky. The room was a bit on the darker side due to the dark color scheme.

Ronan & Chokri (the staff) provided a wonderful breakfast and were exceptionally helpful eg managing to find someone to do a load of washing for us so we could focus on being a tourist and exploring Basel via its excellent public transport system.

Everything is clearly v expensive. We have never paid (in Au$ currency) over $100 for 2 schnitzels. Or $240 for a load of washing! But it’s only money. Really what was important was the experience and our time in Basel was brilliant, we will be back.

I really liked the location, it was close to all the main streets, bus and tram stations and Basel SBB station where you can catch buses and trains to anywhere you might want to go. Also the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful . Was much better than most places I've ever stayed when traveling outside of my country. They have a great continental breakfast.One night when I was going to back to my hotel I realized that I didn't have my room key with me,called them immediately around midnight and they did help me very quickly and got into my room around 2.30 in the morning, it was such a great feeling to have my comfortable bed.Thanks for everything you did for me.I'm pretty sure on that, I'll come and stay there next year once again 👍🍀

No cons 🫶

Very nice location, close to the main tram lines. Very walkable. A lot of bars and restaurants nearby/next door. Nice to have to city card to take public transportation. Coop market right around the corner. Pro tip: buy sandwiches or salads from Coop for lunches to save on meal costs. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Very small room, but really comfy. There was a fan provided in the room. Breakfast available but we didn’t purchase it.

Very friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast (highly enjoyable in the outdoor sitting area), perfect location next to the river and within a few min walk from the German train station. Very quiet (my room was facing the backside).

Room was small and could have used a few hooks for hanging clothes. Very hot in the summer heat (but seems to be normal in Basel)

Our stay at Bloom was amazing. The staff was so friendly, the room was incredibly clean and the location was perfect. 2 mins away from 2 tram stations, 10 mins by tram from the train station. The room had everything you need inside, the cleaning was done daily and the atmosphere was very cozy and nice. We even got un upgrade to a bigger room. I would definitely return anytime I visit Basel.

The staff were really nice and helpful. Mr Shoukree and Mr.Ronan as.well as Julia were superb!. The location was great. The hotel provided city travel passes for the days of our stay.

The rooms didn't have AIr conditioning but most likely some form of heat pump. The weather was really warm and the rooms were too. Ronan provided us with extra fans and adjusted the room's cooling system. Keeping portable air conditioning system could be an economical solution.
