A very friendly welcome at a brilliantly central location - just across the square from the gates into Mdina. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful about leaving cases. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal we took there was also vey good, although with so many superb restaurants in Rabat, we only took advantage of this once. The room was very comfortable and quiet, despite the central location. Staying at the Pointde Vue means being able to see Mdina before and after the crowds.

Not a complaint, but worth knowing that there is lots of free parking around Rabat, but the parking outside the hotel gets filled during the main part of the day. Best to park elsewhere if necessary and move the car later on or early morning when there will be plenty of parking.

My husband and I chose Point de Vue Guesthouse for a one-night stay because we had a wedding in the vicinity that evening, so we wanted the comfort of being just a short cab ride away from the venue. The room was lovely, set inside a traditional old building with a vintage staircase and Maltese tiles on the landing, yet still offering modern amenities. Our room came with AC, a spacious bathroom with shower, free toiletries, and a very comfortable bed, along with a lovely view from the two large windows. The staff were extremely courteous, efficient, and friendly, and the late lunch we enjoyed at their restaurant soon after we checked in was delicious. Special thanks to the night receptionist, who came promptly to open the front door at the late hour when we returned from the wedding. All in all, even though it was a short stay, we were extremely satisfied with all that Point de Vue guesthouse had to offer. Highly recommended!

Hotel staff are very kind and friendly. We were able to check-in early, and got a lucky upgrade to a larger room, which was always kept tidy and clean. The breafast included was generous and tasty (which includes a hot drink + a warm plate option + fruit/yogurt options). We also had 20% off of prices at the restaurant attached to the guesthouse as well, we ate there several times and it was solid quality. As we traveled during the off-season, the restaurant always had locals which was lovely! Finally the location was amazing, from the entrance we can see the entrance of the Mdina gate (benefits of staying close was walking around at night!) and it was just few minutes away from Rabat, we even walked to Dingli Cliffs :)

Location, location, location! Next to the bus-stop from Valletta, great view over the nearby cities, historic building, between Rabat and Mdina (walking distance), 1 min away from a Michelin recommended restaurant.

I liked everything that could have been changed. (They can't help having bathrooms without windows. It's an old building that wasn't designed with that in mind). Maybe the breakfast needed less "single plastic" stuff (butter, jam etc), but that was really the only thing that could be improved. The rest was very good towards excellent, and for sure good value for the money.

This is a hidden little gem, steeped in history. I had a room with a gorgeous view. It was clean and spacious. Excellent value for money and excellent food. It is a great location all within walking distance of Mdina and Rabat. This charming Guesthouse is definitely worth a few nights stay.

There was nothing I did not like. The only thing I will say is when you first walk in. Although very clean, the place does not reveal its true beauty and character to you until you enter the hallway to either go to your room or the main restaurant.

The breakfast was fabulous cereal and a choice of yogurt or fruit salad omelettes full english and veggie great choice and came out very fast comfortable room nice and wuiet and a lovely very large bathroom and a great shower 2 bottles of water a day and tea and coffee provided which was excellant

The only thing missing in the room was a fridge for water and milk or else maybe creamers could be provided as id to ask staff for milk and in the heat went sour quickly it was very humid last few days so hard to sleep with aircon on which couldnt be helped but i found the temps hard to cope with

This was an outstanding experience of hospitality of the highest standards. My room was spacious and cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable and the shower great. The inclusive breakfasts were amazing with avgreat cjoive and high quality cooking! The location for Mdina is perfect...very close to the walls and easily accessible. Also close to the Gardens and buses. Above all this were the staff who were exceptional. Warm, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble whatever their role. Marisa and her husband run a great business.

The only drawback to this great establishment is it's location next to a busy road and car park, but small price to pay for an otherwise great experience.

The staff was super friendly, the location is right next to Mdina and very central. The rooms are clean, check in is flexible and you get a good breakfast which fills you up for a while. The bed and matress are comfy and you get new waterbottles every day.

It would be even greater with a small fridge in the room. But because breakfast is included it's not necessarily needed.

Very central location: 200m to the main gate to Mdina and an easy walk into the rest of Rabat. Room was old style (as was the guesthouse) but very clean and gave me everything I needed for three good nights' stay. The bed was comfy. I took the breakfast option - and am pleased I did. The table service was always fast and efficient.

The guest house is also a restaurant, so it always feels quite busy. I try to avoid crowds of tourists, so I was a bit disappointed to be surrounded by two coach parties on their mid-morning beer and toilet stops while I was finishing my leisurely breakfast. My room overlooked one of the town car parks and a bar area, which made it a bit noisy til around 11pm.

The guesthouse was very comfortable, felt like a castle. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, we felt super welcome right from the start. Our room had a good working AC, had a nice and spacious bathroom and was overall really comfortable. You could choose from many different dishes in the morning, if you had lunch or dinner at the in-house restaurant you got 20% off on the food, the dishes were super delicious at a super fair price. Also, there was a free parking right in front of the hotel and the location is very well placed, next to Mdina, which you can easily discover by foot.

Small negative point was that from our room we didn’t have a view, but we only stayed in our room to sleep and shower so we didn’t really care at all.
