Hotel Kalehan is a little oasis to stay in the city and super great location just 10 min drive from Ephesus and the Hose of Virgin Mary. From its garden and pool you are just looking at the castle on the top. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff of notice the young gentlemen that were there all the time with great attitude and English spoken, quick on their feet and extremely dedicated. All the place is very clean, superb cooking! Stay for breakfast and dinner, fine cooking and best than in surrounding restaurants. Confortable rooms and pleasant swimming pool.

The hotel is easy to reach and provides parking spaces. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The garden is very lovely with roses, a nice pool, and turtles wandering about. Dinner was delicious (local cuisine) and breakfast is not to be missed! The rooms are basic but comfy. Good bathroom. The hotel is close to Epesus though not walking distance. Close to the property you can see remains of an aqueduct and also St John Apostle Basilica.

Not alot of storage space if you´re staying longer than overnight.

Beautiful oasis amongst the busy streets of Selçuk. Garden set up for resting and reading - I loved the pink/ green loungers under the trees. With all the antiques and collectibles I could almost imagine we were on a 19C Grand Tour. Reasonable size bathroom - all tiled, took a while for the hot water to heat up. Breakfast was so delicious with fresh fruit and homemade jams. Pool was a bonus. Staff were very hospitable and able to organise taxis etc

No sign coming from Selçuk and as we didn't have internet we walked right past. Air-conditioning was a bit tricky to get going - but we managed. No jug in the room - maybe hot water was available at the hotel restaurant...I didn't check.

This hotel is a complete gem. It is full of atmospheric charm and friendly staff but, best of all, is the central garden with shady trees, grass, a rose garden, plenty of tables, chairs, sun loungers and sofas and it also has a pool. The staff were extra helpful. For example, the sugar comes in wrapped cubes, but I only take half a spoon of sugar in my tea. Every morning, the waiter ground a few sugar cubes and presented me with a delightful small dish in which I had ground sugar and a small spoon. That is an amazing attention to detail from the staff. The hotel is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants and the Fortress on the Asysuluk Hill which can be seen from the pool area. The fabulous Ephesus Museum is also within easy walking distance.

I loved the atmosphere and the people. The service and communication were excellent. I stayed out of season so the pool was closed and the rose garden was pruned, but it was still a lovely. I would love to see this place in season! The room was tasteful, comfortable and clean. The restaurant was great. The breakfast spread was delicious and generous. I really enjoyed eating dinner before moving to the sofas and enjoying a beverage in front of the wood stove. The location is perfect, easy to find, and close to everything with good parking.

We wanted to be at Ephesus at opening to beat the crowds and heat which meant leaving before breakfast hours. The Hotel Kalehan staff were incredibly kind and started breakfast early when I asked if they could recommend an early breakfast spot or possibly put out a box breakfast for us before the official meal time. The food was delicious as well! This was also one of the few hotels we stayed in in Turkey that provided conditioner/hair cream in the bath products.

There was only 1 AC unit for this 2 bedroom accommodation so even with the door open, bedroom #2 stayed quite warm overnight.

Amazingly rustic property. The rooms are well equipped and beautifully decorated. The flower garden is so peaceful and is inhabited by a couple of cats and turtles! The breakfast items are either made-in house or locally sourced and tasted fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Ephesus, House of Virgin Mary or St James Basilica as they're all super close by.

While on the main road the rooms are at the back in a separate area, well away from the road. Pool area with bar and towels was just what we needed after our drive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Aircon in our room was not working so owner called technician immediately. When it could not be fixed we were upgraded to another room. Breakfast was great, mostly made at the hotel so fresh and tasty

Highly recommend!!! Kalehan Hotel in Selçuk has got to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a number of reasons. We were made to feel so welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. The level of service is absolutely exceptional and not something we have received anywhere else. The location of Kalehan is great for all the sites, the town, train station, and bus station. The facilities are really good, there is a lovely pool, fabulous restaurant and a resident family of tortoise, that are too cute for words. But above all, the service is excellent. Ayse hanim responded to my requests prior to arrival via email very efficiently. Mehmet bey (manager) ensured we had all our requests met, was extremely welcoming and helpful with transport arrangements. Melisa on reception was always there with a beautiful welcoming smile and always ready to help. Abiding Bey was there every day, all day from serving breakfast to the evening meal in the restaurant. No requests was too big or too small for him. He has a fantastic memory, not only for names, but for what you like to eat, drink and how you like them. He has worked at the hotel for 27 years and takes much pride in all that he does. Mustafa bey is an excellent chef, the food at the restaurant has a modern twist on Turkish classics using fresh local produce that tastes absolutely delicious. Hatice, Ahsen and Nurdan hanims are exceptional housekeepers. By the time we finished breakfast, our room was cleaned, bed made, clean towels, and bedding if needed every day. They even made fancy swans out of towels on our beds every day. We were lucky to have received an upgrade to a beautiful room (207) that was more of a suite, than a room. The beautiful antique furniture, turkish rugs, super powerful air conditioning, fabulous bathroom and king size bed made this room our haven after our excursion and the heat of the day.

Quite idyllic setting with a lovely courtyard, tables and chairs to enjoy the cool breeze, sounds of animals, and perhaps a picnic or meal. Whole place has plenty of foliage, hence cooling and inviting. Staff are very warm and accommodating and ensures that you have a comfortable time.

Carpet has smell of stale sweat. Beds are very soft (User 60KG). Wifi was weak 🥲, when we informed the host, they passed us a Wifi Box which rectified the problem completely for 5 devices. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
