Wonderful little hotel with the absolute best view and sunset over Chefchaouene! Rooms were clean and comfortable and the rooftop patio was the highlight of our stay, we ended up doing take out dinners there while watching the sunset. The staff were all wonderful, super friendly and very helpful with tips and even helping us order take out food. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with eggs, breads, yogurts and pastries. Location was great too, not too far from the centre of the Medina but also convenient being able to drive right up to it.

We arrived early, were warmly welcomed and given tea whilst waiting for our room. The on site secure parking for our 2 motorcycles was important for us. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good with omelette, moroccan breads, olives, honey jam, and cream cheese plus sweet fresh orange juice and tea or coffee. The location was perfect, with views from the roof terrace overlooking Chefchaouen. An enjoyable walk to the medina, also a short walk to the Lavadero Ras el Mar and a longer walk up hill to the Spanish Mosque, great views and especially to watch the sun go down. The hospitality was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we would definitely recommend.

Nothing to dislike

This hotel is a real gem. It is in an amazing location on the edge of the medina that is still accessible by a car but already on pedestrian zone. From here,it is a short walk to the creek, main shopping streets and the main square. You can also go up the mosque for a beautiful view and the path is right by the hotel. The view from the terrace for sunsets is unbelievable. The staff is kind, professional and helpful. Breakfast is very filling and with healthy choices. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The manager is super kind and really takes guest comfort seriously. We got upgraded to a higher level room due to some noisy guests. We did not even ask:). After 1 month of travelling in Morocco, this was top notch experience. Highly recommended and if it is in your budget, splurge on the 3rd floor suite that has direct access to terrace and corner views onto the medina and city. If I knew how comfortable and spectacular it is, I would have booked it right away!

Everything was perfect!

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay at Hotel Al Khalifa. Noor, who greeted us, was very helpful and gave us fantastic recommendations on places to eat (Sophia and Bilmos). He also told us how to get to the Spanish Mosque and a hike just above Chefchaouen to a waterfalls (we were only able to do the Spanish Mosque hike, but if you continue beyond the Spanish Mosque, there is plenty of territory to cover). Finally, he also gave me great advice for a Hamam nearby, which was terrific. The location of Hotel Al Khalifa was wonderful. It is just outside of the medina, but a one minute walk in and a one minute walk up into the hills behind Chefchaouen. The room was very comfortable and had a lovely view. There is also a nice terrace, with free mint tea served at sunset, and a spectacular view over the town and mountains. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay again.

Brilliant stay here... ideal for Chefchaouen walkabout. Nor, the owner and his colleague were the epitome of hospitality. Plenty of room for my motorbike... and very secure. Room was lovely and roomy... en-suite was small but functional... the view of Bouzafer Mosque and glorious sunshine spilling in through my window was great... very welcome in Feb. Facilities were good. Breakfast was plentiful and filling. The mint tea on the roof terrace at sunset was very welcome and relaxing to end the day after walking the alleyways and paths through the souks. Loved this place! Great location. It’s about 10 mins walk to city centre but away from the windy road. The taxi will drop you right outside so you don’t have to drag your suitcases. We got an upgrade to a room with a view. Hot water was good (need to wait couple of minutes for it to come through). We had ample amount of blankets. The breakfast was simple and great. The kitchen where you sit for breakfast was cold but that’s normal. Our host helped us get taxi and gave recommendations(but was never pushy). They kept our luggage safe on our last day while we explored the place. Would highly recommend this place.

We had an incredible experience at this hotel! 🏨 The staff were very very kind, warm and welcoming, always making us feel at home. The rooms were spotless 🧹, beautifully decorated 🖼️, and very comfortable 🛏️. The rooftop terrace 🌅 was a highlight, offering stunning views of the Blue Pearl 🏘️ and the mountains ⛰️—perfect for enjoying mint tea 🍵. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Chefchaouen medina without being in the crowded souks, just steps from the medina and the parking. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chefchaouen! 💙 It made our trip unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return! 🌍

I had a wonderful night at Hotel Alkhalifa in Chefchaouen! The place is super charming, very clean, and well located. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed. The view from the hotel is amazing, especially in the morning — such a peaceful and beautiful sight. And the breakfast was delicious, with fresh products served in a lovely setting. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chefchaouen. A great experience — I’ll definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our time at Hotel Al Khalifa! We stayed 4 nights, which gave us plenty of time to visit and experience Chefchaouen! The location is perfect - just a 10 minutes walk from the medina. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The terrace offers a great view of the city. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was spacious and confortable. The AC is our room was a bit noisy and the drain from our bathroom sink took some time to drain, but it didn’t take away from our amazing time at the hotel! We definitely recommend Hotel Al Khalifa and we would go back in a heartbeat!
