Nice place to stay. Unfortunately no service after 4pm except coke, water and cerveza. More like a guest house. No bottle of wine to enjoy on the beautiful terrace. A real pity. We were recommended to use Uber but they offered just a cheap bottle of wine from OXXO on Sunday of our arrival. Great breakfast. Very comfortable room. No makeup mirror!!! No fridge. We had to drink our white wine which we eventually bought at room temperature. They offered at least wine glasses. I recommend to have at least a couple of cold bottles of wine available for purchase at the reception.

We found the property to be very clean, the bed and bedding were amazing! Staff were friendly, efficient, helpful. They were able to accommodate us for an early check in which was very nice. The pool was warm, and a pleasure to use and hang out for my daughter and I. Air conditioning worked great as well as a good pressure shower, WIFI worked at the pool. There was always security available although we felt safe in the area. The location is perfect! So many fantastic restaurants and cafes within 5km, we walked everywhere. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.

Our stay at Gala was so lovely. My friend and I were in Mexico for work and stayed in multiple other hotels in other surrounding towns, and another in Guadalajara; none of them came even close in comparison to our stay here. This was by far the cleanest, comfiest, beautiful stay. The mattress and sheets are so soft. The shower had great water pressure. The breakfast was delicious. The neighborhood was nice to walk around, lots of coffee shops and vintage clothing stores to explore. Would absolutely treat myself to this hotel again.

Perfect location to explore the old town. Very nice area with lots of nice restaurants and bars- great relaxed atmosphere. The interieur of the hotel is very pretty- very good style. Nice small pool and you can book great massages with Fabiola.

There is no bar - you can have breakfast at the neigbour restaurant but only from 09am onwards. They close early so no option for a drink at night however the hotel can fix a beer if you want which they also serve to your room .

The hotel is located in a very good location, Comfortable bed and good shower, they offered free breakfast but I didn't get to try it because there are plenty of restaurants within a walking distance and despite the location it was quiet enough.

Free coffee in the room, not enough storge space, all I have was five clothes hangers I was there for four nights and I have to keep everything in my suitcase, another thing I wasn't happy, was the absence of any glasses.

Room was very nicely decorated. The hotel had a very cool artsy retro feel. The front desk staff was excellent. The breakfast was very tasty. Walking distance to downtown.

Wait staff at the restaurant were just basically attentative. Our last day we went to breakfast and had limited time as we needed to get to the airport and we didn't get our food for about 25 minutes and another table who came in 10 minutes after us had received their food and were almost done eating by the time we received our food. The staff never acknowledged this nor apologized. They seemed like they could care less about us or that they provided terrible service. This was the only low point of our experience, very disappointing.

The property itself is adorable, the conjoined cafe was delicious and the food was presented in a very picture worthy way. The location is great as there is a museum and church in one direction and in the other direction toward Ave Chapultepec, the entire street is lined with cafes, restaurants and other properties/businesses that gave the street a safer vibe. Its proximity to Ave Chapultepec was very convenient too, as that street has bars, restaurants, and plenty to see during the afternoon/evening.

Beautiful old house easy walking distance to restaurants and 20-30 minute Uber ride to most places. Very sweet, caring and accommodating staff. Great massage available. Pretty little plunge pool but it rained while we were there so we didn’t get to use it.

Pillows are hard. Hot water in the shower very temperamental. Breakfast choices limited for the price of the room - should have access to the full menu.

Very friendly staff and accomodating of needs. beautiful decor in bedrooms and common area. Very nice breakfast. probably one of the best places to stay in Guadalajara.

I thought they might have had an electric Kettle in the room and maybe some cups, wine glasses etc but no. I had to ask which was fine but maybe consider.

We stayed in the room with a terrace and it was very beautiful, clean, comfortable and more spacious than expected. The location is perfect - on a picturesque street filled with trees and cafes, walking distance to Chapultepec and also the historic center. Excellent 24/7 front desk reception and outside security made us feel especially safe. Amenities include a heated pool which we were able to use even at night in late November. Go next door to Hera for delicious food and coffees (the music is not as bad as previous reviews mention unless you’re planning to sleep between 9 am to 4 pm). We can’t wait to come back again!

the price can be on the higher end depending on the day but was well worth it for us
