Booked online, easy check-in & confirmation upon arrival. Short walk to the beach & many of the returants that Bagara has to offer. The room was cosy & suited us for an overnight stay. Found the bed very comfortable, kitchen had basic facilities. Make a coffee or a tea, handy fridge in the room. The photos online are a good representation of what to expect. My only dislike was that there was a slight clash of information between the emails I received. One mentioned a security deposit, which didn't eventuate on check-in. The other was about the cleaning any utensils used, one said leave it to us, the other asked could you please wash up. There isn't a kitchen sink, the only basin is in the bathroom. These are really minor things that didn't affect my stay & I would stay there again. Making things clear just takes away any issues or confusion.

I love what they’ve done with the place. It feels like a cheap motel when you drive up to it, especially when the half naked receptionist dude (love him!) receives you through the backdoor with his massive (friendly) dog on the loose, but once you enter the room you almost feel like you’re in an instagramable Scandinavian Airbnb in Tallinn. It’s a nice place! Nice shower, spacious fridge and kitchen. Parking right in front of the apartment. Comfortable beds. It’s only a quick stroll down to the waterfront and a number of restaurants and takeaways. Try the Bargara Works Burger at Bradlee’s Beachside Takeaway. You won’t regret it. We went on a Great Barrier Reef tour to Lady Musgrave Island from here. Mon Repos turtle sanctuary is close by. Make sure to book way in advance if you’re interested in seeing baby turtles hatch at night.

The room accommodated 4 athletes and all their training/fighting gear and all their food very comfortably! They all commented on how clean and comfortable their stay was and how handy it was to have a full kitchen! The hosts provided us with bikes at no extra charge and we were able to enjoy a ride along the beach (which is so close to the accommodation) - unfortunately we ran out of time to make use of the sauna and magnesium pool but will definitely be back. Adonis the dog was a bonus - absolutely adorable and friendly!

The book in process was exceptional and the lady that booked us in could not do enough to help us, after we had driven for nearly 12 hours. She went out of her way to help when I asked her were around here has good meals , raffles and entertainment. Whilst we did not try the coffee machine there was one located in the room and if you just wanted a normal coffee that was available as well. When you look at the property from the outside it looks dated but don’t let that fool you, the room and the property was well presented and very clean.

Even though no one was at reception when arrived, check-in was incredibly smooth - one phone call and we were in! The room was such a delight. The outdated, aged kitchen and cabinetry was perfectly complimented by the modern touches, and fixtures the owners have added. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed - from the hand-poured jug of milk in the fridge to the face towel in the bathroom labelled 'makeup'. Andrea has given some serious thought to the little things that just make sense! *insert coffee machine Location! Location! Location! A one minute walk to Bargara Esplanade and some really great food establishments, cute boutiques, and of course - sand and sea. Highly recommend catching the views from a table at Cafe on Bauer - coffee is delicious and service is mint! The motel is undergoing some pretty sick renovations, and we can't wait to see how the place evolves over the next little while. You can see its a project of love! Highly recommended!

Carpark may be a little bit of a tight squeeze for larger, longer vehicles if several guests are staying at once.

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating - their dog was adorable and friendly! We booked 2 rooms overnight (1 x 2 person room and 1 x 5 person room) - all were clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The facilities were wonderful. The location is perfect - just a few minutes walk down to the beach - we were able to use the bikes at the property and enjoy a ride along the beach. Will definitely be back and staying longer next time!

Wow, what a surprise! Looked like a regular motel but the reviews were great. Everything about this place was lovely. Warm greeting at reception, clean rooms and walk to centre of town. What I loved were all the extra little touches. Ground coffee beans in Smeg appliances. Lovely plates and little furnishings made it so cute. And then the sauna and pool area with private cabanas. I had the best sleep. So quiet. Thank you. I highly recommend staying here.

We have stayed here several times for our kids' sporting events in the area. Staff are always lovely, cheerful, and accommodating. Rooms are always spotlessly clean and furnished nicely. The beds are very comfortable. We have and always will stay here when in the area. Excellent location, walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants.

The only minor negative is that the carparking is a little tight for larger cars, but this is nit picking, and there is plenty of street parking if required right outside.

Great location to town, walking distance to local eateries and down the road from the local bar. Great staff, very friendly (including the resident fur baby). It is the midst of being renovated and will be lovely once finished. Comfy bed, loved the addition of Smeg appliances (you don't get that on larger Hotels). We will be back.

Only down side was the pillows. I think this is something that often gets overlooked, money spent on bed and linen, but a few new pillows would be great.

We actually stayed at some units in burkitt St, ( called Beachside on Burkitt,)as my 87 year old parents were unable to use the stairs up to the unit we were booked into, and the owners kindly relocated us to their other property. They could not of been more helpful to us. The unit was very well stocked with everything needed. Tastefully furnished with comy furniture. Aircon unit in main room, plus fans and fans in bedroom, large shower, separate toilet, laundry facilities
